Practical Considerations...

I wrote this the other day at Arctic Patriot's place.  It doesn't deserve a full column, but full dissemination is appropriate.

Of the big gun makers in the world, most live and die by the Government Contract. Big Uncle buys a lot, LEO buys a lot, foreign friendly Governments buy a lot, and every Tyrant on the planet buys Glock, Colt, Beretta, Walther, Browning, Kalishnikov, et al.

The smaller companies simply have no pull in the industry. Sad to say, but if Big Uncle told the big firearms makers in America to stop selling to American Civilians or lose their US contracts and export licenses, they'd do it.

In any full-blown Ruckus, I hope our North East (and elsewhere) Patriots understand how important those factories are, to both sides. I hope every Patriot has done his research and learned basic metalsmithing for DIY.

Do with these thoughts what you will.

Unleash the Power...

Set aside the (quite proper) arguments that the Federal Government should not lay claim to the land of the States for a moment.

I was unexpectedly on the highway Friday.  Rather than a day on Capitol Hill as scheduled, I ended up in Delaware.  I am always freshly reminded during road trips of the vast open spaces that remain in our great nation.

Consider if the Federal Government were to sell off tracts of land.  What if they were to liquidate and permit families to have acres in return for the money owed for Entitlement programs.  Move some people off the Entitlement roles as a means of reducing Entitlement spending with the goal of ending Entitlements completely, in return give these folks land.  How many families would jump at a chance for modern Homesteading?

Would you take five acres of remote land and make a go of it?  Green energy, composting toilets, satellite communications, all make living off the grid far more comfortable and realistic than in our frontier days.  Think of the boon to the economy, as well diggers and builders and all of the related industries are contracted to help new landowners make their little pieces of America habitable.

Think of the pressure that would be reduced on metropolitan governments as the populations reduce with a proportional decrease in services required.  Think of the cash infusion (or savings, depending upon the structure of the deal) for the Federal Government.

Think of the empowerment of those families who will now have a stake in the republic as they had not before.  Think of the value to the people who will learn once again the importance and self respect afforded by self-sufficiency.

There are so many ways to unleash the power of the American people, if only we change our politics.

...by any means necessary.

Natural Law & State Malevolence

I subscribe heavily to the concept of Natural Law.  I have not found a single definition with which I agree completely, but the premise works for me.

When Government imposes Law that is immoral, Citizens are placed in jeopardy.  If we do the right thing, we may be punished.  It is dangerous to be right when the Government is wrong, as has been said.

Consider: I have a neighbor whose family is having it financially rougher than am I.  He is a blue collar guy, adept at most things in the remodeling realm.  If I offer the man $1,000 to re-tile my bathroom, the State of Maryland asserts the power to fine and arrest the man, because he is not licensed to tile bathrooms.  I'm not certain, but I'd bet they assert the power to somehow punish me in the transaction, as well.

How can any member of the Political Class justify this circumstance?  They use the standard: We license contractors to ensure consumer safety argument.

To my mind, such licensing is an absolute violation of Natural Law and the free will of two people to enter into a contract.  It also raises the cost of tiling my bathroom, if I must limit my options to State Approved contractors.

Try to operate a Charity in Maryland, collecting food from one group of people and delivering to another group, whether a food bank or directly to people whom you know need a little extra in the cupboard, the State of Maryland will come at you hard for not receiving their blessings (and paying their fees) to operate a Charity.

The list is long of the actions you may not do in Maryland, and we are not alone in the republic.

Is this not the ideal definition of a Government that is harmful to the People and justifiably changed?

Congress & the Political Class: Guilty

Arctic Patriot found this gem below and posted about it recently.

Consider how this law can be used against those who would be our Masters, in our elected offices and in our neighborhoods.  Is not Sarah Brady violating § 241 with every dollar raised to support gun control?  Is not every law put forth by the McCarthy's of the Congress a violation of § 242?

Is there not a Right attorney who could at least make a run at it?

This law is as clearly written as our Declaration and Constitution - rather rare if you ask me about any aspect of the US Code.  As I read it, in plain English, every single member of the Left and Establishment in our Political Class is Guilty.  Period.

If our Government refuses to prosecute and enforce the law, is there any meaning left in the US Code?

Does not their failure to prosecute establish the Right of Revolution, for if we can not expect equal application of and protection under the Law, we have no legitimate Government.

Think about it.

UNITED STATES CODE
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
PART I - CRIMES

Time for a new Vigilance Committee

American's have recourse that falls between the voting booth and full-scale revolution.

But, it takes Patriots who do more than talk.

Americans once took care of their problems when government could not, or would not, police their own.

Can you say: Vigilante?

Regulators: North Carolina's colonial court met in Hillsborough. In 1768, the Regulators entered Hillsborough, broke up the court, and dragged those they saw as corrupt officials through the streets. The mob attempted to have the judge try the cases that were pending against several regulator leaders, including Husband. The presiding judge (Richard Henderson) quickly adjourned the court until the next morning to avoid being forced to make a ruling in the presence of an angry mob of regulators, and escaped in the night. The regulators rioted, destroying public and private property alike. Fanning was among the lawyers beaten, found after taking refuge in a shop neighboring the courthouse. According to judge Richard Henderson, Fanning's beating was so severe that “one of his eyes was almost beaten out.” The courthouse was systematically and symbolically vandalized. Human waste was placed on the judges seat, and the body of a long deceased slave was placed upon the lawyers bar. The mob continued to destroy shops and property in the town, and ultimately brought their destruction to Fanning's personal residence. After destroying all of the furniture and drinking all of his alcohol, the entire house was picked apart. Henderson's barn, along with his stables and home were also burned to the ground. They cracked the church bell of the Church of England, but stopped short of looting the church further due to their religious beliefs.

Congresswoman to carry concealed...

NBC reports the Congresswoman will carry concealed.  Good for her!

The same story cites that Dem Heath Shuler has been carrying concealed in DC since 2009...really?

Really?  I'll be writing Mr. Schuler's office for confirmation.  While I endorse his doing so, if true, I wonder if his neighbor in DC would be arrested for doing the same.  The answer is yes...his neighbor would be arrested in DC.

Does he get into the House with it, also?  Or is NBC playing games with the truth and trying to stir trouble for Mr. Shuler, because he had the audacity to challenge Queen Nancy?

Kerodin.com: Shift Your Paradigm

Today at Kerodin.com we explore shifting our paradigms, the rules imposed upon us by others that we accept as immutable.

Consider: Why has no Patriot sent draft language of a Bill to their Tea Party Congressmen that would make it a crime in America to infringe 2A?  If McCarthy can simply write words on paper that will turn many millions of Americans into criminals, why are we playing defense instead of playing offense and making her actions a matter of debate on the floor of the House, with imprisonment as a potential outcome?

Try to infringe 2A, go to jail.  ATF will hunt YOU, rather than Olofoson.

Shift your paradigm, Patriots, or we will lose.

Life is but a Collection of Moments

Every once in a while my lovely bride and I treat ourselves to our favorite dinner.  Living in Washington DC has many perks, and the number of authentic restaurants in our town that cook foods from around the world are probably only rivaled by New York and maybe Los Angeles.

Lamb Pasanda, served on a bed of rice with a side order of fresh naan bread - my friends, it is crack.  It is my favorite meal.  A great Rib Eye cooked on my grill comes close, and Maryland Blue Crabs round out the top three...

You owe it to your Significant Other to find a good India restaurant and order Lamb Pasanda.  If they do it right, you are in for a treat.  It should hit only 1-2 on the spice scale, so if you want a spicey dish, this isn't it.  But it is full of flavors that I never dreamed should be in a single dish, and textures that work together like a well-done song.

Oh - I need a political hook.

OK - Olbermann is out at MSNBC - Now Celebrate!

Any official, agent or employee of the United States government or any employee of a corporation providing services to the United States government that enforces or attempts to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation of the government of the United States in violation of this article shall be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than five (5) years, a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both.

DumpDC has an excellent column on the new political climate, here.

What would it take?

If you were in your car and heard Rush sound a call to arms, would you go home for your Go Bag and begin the fight?

Perhaps not Rush, what about Sarah?  Or Beck?  Ron Paul?  Judge Napolitano?

Is there anyone on the national political scene who could send up the balloon and you would follow?  No more waiting, no hesitating to see if Patriots go to work in other cities.  No pause to consider the odds against you as you grab your kit and set about the business of securing your AO.  Would you try to be the first Patriot to fire the next shot heard around the world?

Taking Names

Patriots, are you taking names?

Every threat that China poses to our republic is possible only because we have handed them the means.

Without our assistance, China would still be third world, unable to harm a single American.

Our Political Class, and in particular the Leftists among us, idolize the Chinese system.  They want to impose the Chinese system on us all, for it is more efficient than our innately problematic republic.

Every American who has voted for Democrats or Establishment Republicans is a traitor, is helping set the chains upon your children, and they are not shunned or ostracized, much less put on trial.  One day, your child will work for or be killed by the whims of a Chinese dictator.

And we simply shake our heads as this tyrant is revered in the very House once occupied by Jefferson.

For those few who have the mettle to fight, it should be obvious that you will die alone as you rage against the machine.  I drove by the Capitol this afternoon.  There was a small crowd of protesters...against the repeal of Obamacare.

I see no real resistance to our course, indeed, there is an eagerness that offends.

For the very few Patriots who I know have the mettle to fight for the republic, I wonder if you have days when you simply don't see any point.  When you see Hu eating in a room that most Americans will never be invited to enter, do you consider just walking away and letting it happen?  The III is nothing but a label, an ideal, for it is certainly not a percentage of Americans who will fight, or even raise their voice when Communists are in the White House.

I think Chamberlain can at least be comforted by the fact that he was merely stupid.  Our Chamberlains are complicit.

Thought Police...

Update: To the III'pers who have drawn precisely this line in the sand, why no action?  Are we meeting at the guys house to back him up, and I missed the memo?

~~

LEO wants to take the mans guns for discussing violence as part of our political discourse.

“1 down and 534 to go” was his comment.

In his blog Corcoran writes, “It is absolutely, absolutely unacceptable to shoot indiscriminately. Target only politicians and their staff and leave regular citizens alone.”

In the comments below the article, a brilliant idiot named Irish67 added to the debate:  I dont care how disenfrachised someone is with the government, you can NOT advocate violence. Ever. Period.

That position is, of course, absurd.

Ask Messer's Jefferson, Henry, Adams...

I'll take my political lessons from these guys, not some modern day coward who shames the word Patriot.

Sarah

Just watched Chris Mathews opening segment, it was a bash Sarah festival.

Of the potential candidates who actually have a chance, I think she is the most Liberty minded.  Not perfect, but more like us than any of the others.

But here is my true hope:  I want Sarah to be President for one reason: I want to watch heads explode on the Left when she is elected.  I have not seen any potential player torque them off with such contempt and blind hatred, and I am including Ronald Reagan.  The Gipper took abuse, but not the same savage hatred Sarah gets.

I don't care if she plays with Trig every day in the Oval Office and never does one bit of Presidential business, just watching the Left melt down over a President Palin would be very satisfying for me.

A Question for our Lawyers...

What would it take to try something very aggressive, using our courts?

Today, the Left will sue or otherwise use the courts to attack Patriots and Liberty positions.

What legal criteria would need to be met to, say, sue SPLC or a Citizen such as Sarah Brady for anti-American behavior, or sedition, or to force a politician, say Ms. McCarthy, to defend that she did not break her oath of office in bringing legislation to the floor with the intent of infringing our Liberties?

Remember how they sued Gun Manufacturers?

There must be some way we can use the legal system the same way they use it - even if we do not win, can we take the fight to them and force them to defend themselves, or at least spend their money on lawyers to have cases thrown out of court?

Could 1,000 III Patriots file claims in local small claims courts or District Courts across the country against McCarthy, or against business entities, PAC's, 527's that advocate infringements?  In Maryland one does not need a lawyer to sue up to (I think) $15,000 - which means low fees on our end and force the bad guys to defend 1,000 brush fires...does this have any potential?
