Nodes: Again
Remember your Nodes.
Everything is connected. This story reinforces the point: NFL Lockout will impact chicken wing business.
Break a toe, walking is difficult and kicking is almost a no-go (Do not underestimate adrenaline and willpower - Warriors will continue to fight until you kill them or literally break them into pieces that make fighting impossible. Pain and broken joints will not immediately stop motivated folks.) Break an ankle, walking is out, the best you can hope for is a hop or a crutch. Break a hip or spine, the organism will collapse.
Look for the weak spots, know where they are and exactly what needs to be done to get there and break it into useless pieces.
The "Achilles Heel" is part of our lexicon for a reason.

Are you III?
How would you have responded then?
It's easy to answer when you are 240 years away from the comfort of home & hearth.
The poster is still up, Patriots.
Someone is going to have to leave home and get it done.

It's all in the details...
Funny: Yes!
But don't overlook the importance of having this little detail worked out before you need it.
Do you understand?

Choices
Do you have it?
It can evolve from many experiences. Some men are born with it. Some cultivate it.
The response to it is always interesting. Offer a 1000 yard stare to a Warrior and you'll have it returned, and it may go anywhere from there. Offer it to a general Citizen and you will usually instill a level of fear that he can't handle very well. Offer it to a Cubicle Rat and you may be responsible for a refill on his Happy Pills.
It is very interesting when you offer it to a lawyer who thinks he is invincible...because his mortality is suddenly on display for his own assessment, and he can't reconcile the power he has in the courtroom with the utter vulnerability he has in the real world.
The 1000 yard stare conveys one thing: I'm ready, willing and quite able to kill you...and I may want to do it.
The man or woman who is capable of the 1000 yard stare usually doesn't sweat the small stuff (and it is all small stuff) unless he chooses to engage on the superfluous.
Are you angry about the world around you? Cope. Do not let Them take you out of play by baiting you into a silly Ruckus. Let every act that offends you fester and burn in your heart, ripening and waiting for the proper moment to be released. Don't swing on the TSA Useful Idiot. Let the rage of his violations build inside you until it's time...
It is silly to quibble. If you are baited on a blog, let it ride until you decide to get even - then make it count.
Remember, the Internet is immortal.
If you finally reach your One Man Ruckus moment, make it epic.
Until then, do the best you can do to live a life that lets you look into your own heart and be comfortable with what you see there.

Just a vent...
One of the biggest character flaws I have - and there are many, ask my mom or wife - is that I constantly under-estimate the sheer stupidity of the human animal.
I own a company, an LLC. Let's call it XYZ, LLC for the sake of this discussion. I want to sell it to finance some III ops. So, I start putting my package together and I find a direct competitor advertising on XY-Z.com.
I contact my competitor. He's a good candidate to buy my assets - it'll make his company stronger. I don't mention that he's in direct violation of ethical and legal infringement issues. He decides that he can't afford my assets. OK - I get it. What I own is valuable, and is not cheap. So I explain that I'd like him to stop advertising on XY-Z.com, as it is "confusingly similar" and muddles the water, making it more difficult to sell my assets to other companies in the area.
Everything is pleasant and amiable.
Turns out that his company doesn't even own XY-Z.com - it is owned by a marketing company down south, and leased to my competitor. I politely advise my competitor to check with his corporate attorney, because he is, essentially, using my company name to gain customers. We go back and forth for 2 days...and then I get an email from his marketing firm in the south, who has advised my competitor that he is not doing anything inappropriate.
I truly can not tell you how dumbfounded I was to learn that my competitor has never, once, consulted with a Maryland attorney to find out his legal position - he is relying on the advise of an Alabama marketing company referring Maryland (not to mention ICANN) infringement standards.
Many of you know I hate courts. The last thing I ever want to do is sue anyone or get someone in legal trouble. I have bent over backwards to help my competitor, I have told him several times to speak to his Maryland attorney. The matter is so blatant he need not even speak with a Trademark/Servicemark/Trade Name specialist. Truth: It is so blatant that common sense alone is all one needs to understand you have a problem.
If I own XYZ Company and you buy a newspaper ad that says "Call XYZ Company" and then give a phone number to another company - it is serious, obvious fraud.
The asset package I am trying to sell is a six figure package. I want to sell my assets, fast. But, in essence, it is like trying to sell a nice house and yard with squatters living in a tent on the driveway! I can't do anything until the squatters are gone!
I hate it, but I may have no choice but to use the courts.
I'm just venting, sorry folks. I've been dealing with this silliness instead of writing, which is my passion.
I can tie it to Restoration - never under-estimate the stupidity of your allies or enemies.
Our book is in final editing. I am very pleased with it. I think you will be pleased by the contributions made by some of the best thinkers in our community.

Tsunami of Hordes...
In WWII France, 12,000,000 abandoned their homes and moved north to avoid the violence.
Consider the tactic from OpFor's perspective...
We like to think that can't happen here.
I live fewer than 20 miles from the US Capitol. Consider if forces in DC decided they wanted a 25 mile civilian-free zone around Washington in order to cut down on FreeFor ops in and around the city. Consider squads moving casually from the center of DC outward, pushing people before them with small arms fire and light armor - even our police forces have such armor today.
There are 6 million plus living in that zone.
We like to think in America there is a firearm behind every blade of grass. We like to think every American has enough FU in their DNA that such a push would be met by immediate return fire of such intensity that OpFor would get shut down.
Consider your nearest Metro area. Consider the people living there. Consider those in the surrounding suburbs.
America is not filled with such resistance any longer.
We might get there, after a second wind, when people buckle down, after most of the weakest have died-off. But for a moment just consider OpFor driving outward from the center of your nearest Metro center. How many hours would it take before waves of refugees were fleeing before them, over-running the 'burbs and then quickly into the "rural" areas where so many of our allies think they are safe.
We do not depend on mules pulling carts. Even the most poor American has a car or quick access to one. The range of the average car with a full tank is at least 200 miles, and upward of 400. The hordes of inner DC can pass my front door in fewer than 30 minutes. They can be at the base of the mountains to the west or bay to the east in under an hour. Hordes escaping southward from Baltimore will hit northbound hordes from Washington in fewer than 30 minutes. The hordes escaping Richmond from the North will hit southbound DC refugees in an hour.
For my friends in a comfortable rural setting, consider a virtual tsunami of frightened, angry people washing over your ground like hordes of locust, stripping everything before them in panic. Every grocery store, Wal-Mart, convenience store, et cetera would be stripped to the bone by people who don't know where the next scrap of food will be found, or where they will lay their heads tonight in safety.
As a martial artist with decades of experience under my belt I can promise you this simple reality: There comes a point when all the skills in the world will not help you in the face of sheer numbers. The best CQB martial artist I know can almost always survive a real, skillful unarmed attack by as many as 11 other serious martial artists.
Number 12 tips the scales.
One with a pistol makes the first 10 attackers unnecessary.
Do you understand?
Have you even considered such a tactic being used by Americans, against Americans?
There are no rules. You are not as safe and well-prepped as you think...

Hardening Home & Hearth
1/4 inch steel plates bolted in place beneath drywall provides good protection in E&E routes in the house.
If you intend to harden your home, be creative, practical, and mean it.
Here is a company that has some useful products: mcnichols.com
You know how they will come in. You know they will cover egress. Attack where they do not defend. Defend where they will not attack. Be sure you can get from where you are expected to be to that place on their flanks where they'd never expect you. Be sure the family has a bunker.
Yes, you can usually get from your basement into the storm drain main on the street...if you think it through, be quiet and clever...and surprise the hell out of the bad guys when you pop up on their flanks as they wonder where you went...
Yes, even in the suburbs you can do this, relatively inexpensively.
There are no rules.

Collections
Does anyone have any information about the largest private firearms collections? All I can really find online is stuff to Charlton Heston.
I'd be curious to know who owns the most - is it in the hundreds, or thousands?

Stick with what you know...
Perhaps some folks invest so much energy into the potential and theoretical aspects of violence in Restoration matters because they have little or no experience with real violence. That seems a reasonable conclusion, and we've discussed it before...(too many times).
It has been my experience in this little part of the www that men and women who have worked in professions of violence are the most reluctant to advocate 2A remedies, combined with those Patriots who actually understand our Constitutional system.
It is the Keyboard, Cubicle & Recliner Commando Class Patriots who push hardest for violence, or talk loudest about the rules for violence that we must follow, and the ever-amusing ...cold dead hands... silliness. If you do not know what you are talking about, do us all a favor and STFU.
The closest I have ever been to flying an airplane is about Row 10, window seat. So, you might be able to imagine what a combat-experienced F-117 pilot might think if I were to dictate the how, why and when instructions of take-off and landing exercises, were I so stupid or arrogant as to open my mouth.
There is no moral 2A remedy in America for our political problems until the process of voting is corrupted or a sitting official refuses to yield his seat to a duly elected replacement. There is always a 2A remedy for matters of immediate self-defense. If you are engaged in a Right, such as going to work, and you are ordered to turn out your pockets by anyone who does not possess a warrant signed by a judge per the terms of the 4A, you are entitled to defend yourself with any means necessary.
I have a different position on the work of Vigilance Committees. When proper, elected Government refuses to enforce our laws equally and allows Citizens to be injured, the Right of the People to act has never been surrendered. We have a long tradition of such activity in America.

Cheka? Robespierre? Anyone?
A friend points out it is the Left and Establishment who wants to do the ugly dance.
Here's the link.
As weak-kneed "Patriots" worry yourselves with philosophical contortions as refuge for inaction, we Warriors will live in the real world and understand the enemy, thank you very much.
And deal with them as enemies. No Quarter. Any means necessary. Win. When it counts, drop 'em all.
Good luck to you in whatever approach you choose. I suspect a few patches of FreeFor territory in Alaska, Georgia, Antioch Tn, DC, Colorado and elsewhere will not have the same FreeFor mortality rate as will other areas defended by those who chase Sparklies and wet their panties over the greys of philosophy.

Raped by 26...
...tell me again why this country does not need to have the herd culled by moral men and women with the grit to do the hard work that others, especially spineless garbage who call themselves "Patriots" who shout CHEKA! & Robespierre!, will find cowardly excuses to avoid.
This girls case isn't political, say you?
This case is a direct result of several generations of Leftist politics and Establishment acceptance and tolerance that equates to complicity.
Show me one such case from the era of our Founding Generation.
Every problem we face as a republic returns to the simple fact that we have strayed from the simple principles of the Constitution. Our moral core as a republic is shredded as a result.
CV? Yes F'n Sir!
Here is the story.
