There are factions within our republic that seek secession as a solution to our current troubles.

Consider: A group of States dismiss the Constitution and the Union and they exhort the Founding Principles as outlined by Jefferson. The remaining States go the way of California and Socialism.
Anyone with their eyes open understands that Socialism is a transitional stage leading to Communism.
A Balkanized North America is an absolute defeat for personal Liberty. A Balkanized America surrenders to the Enemies of Liberty a beachhead whence they will conduct operations to further their ultimate goal, which is world domination.
Allowing people like Nancy Pelosi and your Liberal neighbor to have free reign on your border is the same as giving those very same States, those chunks of real estate, to Mao, Mo & Stalin.
Do you want those people living on your border? Do you want China making a pact with the People's Republic of California and docking the Chinese Fleet in San Diego? Do you really want New York making treaties with Russia and permitting Russian boots on the ground and buying Russian military hardware to defend themselves from the more Liberty-minded folks in Virginia?
The premise that secession in North America will end well for Liberty is absolute folly.
All one does with secession is permit the Enemies of Liberty into your back yard.
Does anyone really think an independent Texas has a prayer against Chinese & Russian allied California & New York? Does anyone really think the Liberals who take residence behind the wall in a Socialist California and New York will ever rest until their brothers and sisters in Texas and Alaska and Florida are set Free?
Would you really sit by in your Free Texas and let Socialists/Communists have free reign in Louisiana? You know that once the Tyrants are strong enough they will begin slaughtering their own citizens for the security of the State. Would you be able to let that happen in Oklahoma?
America works because North America has generally been a unified people with shared morality. The breakdowns in our society today are the result of tolerating people who do not share our morality. I have no problem with a Communist or a Muslim living next door to me...so long as they STFU and never make a single move to change America to their world view.
A Balkanized America is a major goal of the Enemies of Liberty.
The answer is not to retreat into Liberty-minded Texas and Virginia while permitting Tyranny-minded folks to have Maryland and New York.
Texas is only as prosperous as it is today because it has Maryland as an ally.
The answer is to rid our shores of the tyranny-minded.
Let them leave, make them leave, and if they resist deportation, treat them like the cancer they are to Liberty...

The window for FreeFor is closing fast. OpFor is investing heavily in human and technological methods of control for the population.

We all know that DHS is buying mobile x-ray trucks and intends to cruise your street and look into your car and home for prohibited materials. Soon enough you'll encounter several internal checkpoints just getting to work.
Facial Recognition is going national, and it is improving exponentially. When tied into the networks of cameras that are being deployed in every city across the republic, there will soon come a day when your every movement is tracked and logged, and they won't even need to put a chip in your skin.

It is already deployed in many cities and suburbs. Trigger your weapon and PoPo shows up in moments. Technological advances will improve the system, making it easier to deploy and locate sub-sonic calibers and even suppressed weapons in certain circumstances. For decades our foreign policy has been geared toward securing the oil of the Middle East. There is no other reason for Americans to fight or die on the sands of the Middle East. Look at the map above. Saudi Arabia is an "ally". Kuwait is an "ally". We have control in Afghanistan and Iraq. That only leaves Iran (the 4th largest oil reserves on the planet) and Pakistan.
It is easy to understand why every President from George W. Bush back through the generations stuck the American nose into the region.
But what of President Obama? Does he care about securing cheap Middle Eastern oil for the next generation of Americans?
Not so much.
What better way to implode the American economy but to drive manufacturing from our shores, drive unemployment higher, incite race and class warfare...and drive the cost of oil above $150 per barrel?
Wars that engulf the Middle East will surely drive oil above $150.
Consider: The Arab Spring has unleashed the harder elements of Mo's folks and given them the power of the military in several countries. American interventionalism has riled the entire region.
How best to ensure a regional war but to unleash Iran, who will lash out at the House of Saud as quickly as they will throw Chem/Bio at Israel. The rowdy folks in Pakistan will not permit their Masters to stay out of that fight.
Today our Government has laid the ground for an advance into Iran with a goal that is far different from what you will hear in the news. Forget any nonsense you may hear about the axis of evil.

Everyone is trying to claim the Occupy protests as their own - from Alex Jones who is trying to muscle it into an anti-Fed protest to the Political Left who wants it to be a counter to the Tea Party, and several groups between.
This speaker (in the video) at least speaks the truth.
My point: 1A does not give one free license to incite an overthrow of the republic.
I do not care if the person calling for it is an Anarchist, a Communist or a Muslim or Iranian (click here). When you try to enlist the aid of another to actively overthrow the Constitution and/or Bill of Rights, you are a free target for genuine defenders of Liberty.
No man or woman has a Right to attempt to overthrow our Founding Principles for Communism, and we are not bound by our rules of society to simply stand aside and let them try in the name of 1A and tolerance.

A Liberty Pole was a pole set by the Sons of Liberty as a meeting place for their members. The poles quickly became a rallying point in the war leading up to shots being fired in Lexington & Concord. The British would tear down the poles and the Sons of Liberty would immediately put up a new one. There were several skirmishes between the two sides. Consider the Battle of Golden Hill, here.
The Sons of Liberty were active in every colony and they were very politically active, meeting often to discuss which candidates they would support to effect political change. The British began to denigrate the Sons of Liberty quickly, and many of the public meetings held by the Sons of Liberty turned violent - usually against commercial interests of Loyalists.
Protesting the Stamp Act the Sons of Liberty in Boston burned the effigy of Andrew Oliver in the streets to protest his office as Stamp distributor. Oliver refused to resign...so the Sons of Liberty burned his office building to the ground. The Sons of Liberty then marched on the home of Lt. Governor Thomas Hutchinson and burned it down. The result: Many Stamp officials resigned in fear.
In 1772 the HMS Gaspee was enforcing trade regulations that hurt the Colonies. When Gaspee ran aground a group of Patriots rowed out to the bellied ship, attacked her, boarded her, looted her and burned her to the keel.
In 1773 the New York Sons of Liberty distributed a warning in print against anyone supporting the Tea Act. They warned that anyone supporting the Tea Act was an enemy of Liberties of America and that whoever shall transgress any of these resolutions, we will not deal with, or employ, or have any connection with him.
Then, of course, The Sons of Liberty effected the Boston Tea Party.
After the War, the Sons of Liberty called for the expulsion of remaining Loyalists and confiscation of their property.
Modern III Patriots: Each of these acts today would be a felony, just as it was when undertaken by the original Sons of Liberty.
The answer to our problems in 2011 is the same as 1772. Our Founding generation provided a blueprint for correcting our national course.

The simple reality is that any fight for Restoration will require that FreeFor is able to maintain a veil of anonymity. If every member of FreeFor is identifiable while OpFor is strong, it will be an easy feat to pick off the good guys.
You'll need to be able to move in anonymity. You'll need to buy things anonymously.
It gets harder to do these things every day.
Kids in Florida are forced to surrender their fingerprints to get on the bus, and in LA kids have to submit to biometrics to get lunch. (InfoWars, here)

Internal checkpoints on the road and 4th Amendment violations at every turn.
There will come a moment when serious resistance becomes futile, for our Masters will be able to identify and shut down FreeFor actors quickly.
If you wait for OpFor to come to you, you can bet they'll have their ducks in a row when they begin. It will be too late to do anything except meet them at your door...and die.

If you rely upon the Fourth Amendment to keep you safe as you live your life, you will lose.
The only way you will ever enjoy the Fourth again is if you protect it with the Second.
Not in court. The moment someone tries to infringe your 4A you will need to go 2A.
Are you willing to end your life the next time your 4th is infringed? It may be at the airport. It may be at the football game. It may be during a traffic stop on the side of the road. One day soon, it will be on the sidewalk, and in your office building, and maybe even as you try to enter the mall.
If you do not do it, noone will. The practice of avoidance (choosing not to go where your Rights are challenged) is becoming obsolete, fast. Soon you will not be able to get through your day without an in-your-face challenge to your innate Liberties.

Interesting that the original OWS was corrupted and subjugated by the Establishment Left even faster than the real Tea Party was hijacked by the Establishment R's.
For you Patriots who expect the "majority" of America (You know, the we outnumber them folks) to rise and defend Liberty, you'll notice that not one report of an organized Tea Party counter-protest has been reported in even one Occupy city.
Not one.
Not one III Patriot has waded into the mix, either. (Myself included.)
Why not?
Because, my friends...they want it more.
The Right is not motivated enough to get out there and challenge the Left in the street today when it is easy. The weather is lovely. The protesters are (for now) mostly wimpy hippies and kids. Work is not an excuse, because the OWS crowd is there 24/7.
If not one single member of the Right is motivated enough or willing to risk themselves enough to stand in front of a marching line of idiot hippies (think of Tiananmen Square and the tank), then on what basis can one possibly trust that these same folks on the Right will do the work when it gets hard?
I have no intention of going to jail for smacking a hippie in Freedom Plaza (in DC). I assure you that is what would happen. What would it prove? What would it attain? Does anyone think it would actually be the spark that would start a serious national debate between Liberty & the Enemies of Liberty among us?
So if this is not the time for Patriots to meet the enemy...when?

The Feds have given Californian medical marijuana shops 45 days to close down or be raided & confiscated.
Will the government of California protect their Citizens who are operating with the permission of the State?
Do you not find it hypocritical that the most Leftist administration in our history is choosing to enforce laws that it actively advocates be repealed? The Left wants legalization or at least decriminalization. So, why choose to enforce laws that they do not like? And, why now?
Power. It is all a matter of power. FedGov wants it all.
It is that simple.
The Left will sacrifice and accept a temporary delay in full decriminalization today for the gain they intend to make in FedGov power over States Rights. The current Governor of California will not station his Guard or even California LEO at these establishments to arrest or challenge the Feds who will come to padlock, confiscate, and sell the physical property, and to arrest and imprison the proprietors. Will the Feds also chase down any physician who has issued a prescription, and every person who has purchased from these establishments?
Nor will the Feds issue indictments on the politicians in California who authorized the law in the first place. They get a pass.
California politicians will never do anything to risk the dollars that are flowing into the State from the Feds...stolen dollars, of course, from Citizens of every other State in the republic.
Will Citizens of California form a protective circle around their pot shops and the people who run them? Perhaps, but not likely, for the same reasons that III Patriots never broke Olofson from prison. Though I would bet there will be protests.
Patriots: It is our watch, and we are witnessing the final convulsions of the republic.

The Star Chamber is historical fact, not just a movie. Here's the Wiki link if you need to get up to speed.
We now have a Star Chamber working in the Federal Government. According to Reuters the Chamber consists of a select group within the National Security Council and this group decides which Americans may be placed on the Kill List.
We are back to the Goose & Gander argument. If your elected representatives dismiss the rules articulated in the Constitution, they open themselves to removal by the Any Means Necessary standard as discussed in the Declaration of Independence.
If you have no respect for law and the Constitution, the fundamental set of rules for our society, you can have no expectation that We the People will remain confined by the Constitution in ridding ourselves of your tyranny.
Patriots: You have considered your own Star Chamber remedies, in principle, in the coming struggle. Every time you think about frontier justice coming to Oath Breakers, you are going this extra-Constitutional route...or, are you?
I would argue that the Constitution permits the Citizen who is operating in good faith that "the system" has been hijacked by tyranny to independently take action. You are under no moral requirement to follow unconstituional laws. You are We the People, are you not? Just because a majority of your fellow Citizens may agree with the tyrants does not mean the majority has any moral right to impose their will upon you.
Read your DoI. Read Amendment IX. Look into your Soul.
There exists your moral authority to take action, either as an individual or a group, to restore the Constitution and your Liberties. When there is no "legal" mechanism available to you any longer to recover your Rights from the threats of Government and the majority, when Article III Section III is denied through the courts, then you are operating outside the "law", but not outside the ideals embodied in our Founding Documents.
Your DoI and Amendment IX are license from our Founders to do what you must, in good faith, to be in a state of Liberty. Our Founders recognized your innate Right to Liberty, and wrote permission into our Founding Documents for you to keep it.
Remember that our first revolution was a result of our Founders deciding to violate many of the "laws" of the King. Every one of our Founders would have been executed as criminals and traitors...if they had lost.
You will never have Liberty without committing many misdemeanors & felonies.
The Founders provided the model. When they won, they provided license for any future American to follow their model, if needed. You are that American.

You see, they want to be re-elected. They watched the President throw scores of D's under the bus to pass ObamaCare, just to shrug and walk away when the tsunami of November 2010 hit.
D's have decided to return the favor, en masse.
They have done the arithmetic and decided that their chances of personal survival improve without following the President into the rabbit hole one more time.
Will he actually step aside? That's hard to call - narcissism is savage.
But the President will not have the D army at his back unless there is a tectonic shift in the state of the Union...fast. D's will, instead, indulge in the most basic of human behaviors...self-preservation.
