You've seen the signs at Tea Party events: The answer to 2012 is 1776.
I firmly believe that we are in the most important phase of this Revolution being waged from the Left.
Remember an essential insight from John Adams: But what do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. ... This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people, was the real American Revolution.
The Revolution underway now from the Left is nearly ready to enter the final phase, when they will unleash violence to complete their task. They have worked for many generations to change and pervert our Founding Principles.
We are now in a phase of this war for Liberty that every living Patriot must remember the original Sons of Liberty. Here is the first link on the topic, following the passage below...
The first widely known acts of the Sons took place on August 14, 1765, when an effigy of Andrew Oliver (who was to be commissioned Distributor of Stamps for Massachusetts) was found hanging in a tree on Newbury street, along with a large boot with a devil climbing out of it. The boot was a play on the name of the Earl of Bute and the whole display was intended to establish an evil connection between Oliver and the Stamp Act. The sheriffs were told to remove the display but protested in fear of their lives, for a large crowd had formed at the scene. Before the evening a mob burned Oliver's property on Kilby street, then moved on to his house. There they beheaded the effigy and stoned the house as its occupants looked out in horror. They then moved to nearby Fort Hill were they built a large fire and burned what was left of the effigy. Most of the crowd dissipated at that point, however McIntosh and crew, then under cover of darkness, ransacked Oliver's abandoned home until midnight. On that evening it became very clear who ruled Boston. The British Militia, the Sheriffs and Justices, kept a low profile. No one dared respond to such violent force.

If not, I commend it to you whole-heartedly.
Our language is a beautiful thing - precise and with a wonderful gift of nuance. There are times I sacrifice nuance to paint with broader strokes, and it sometimes bites me in the butt (especially when The Trainer catches me being sloppy ;)
We are blessed that our Founding Generation had a serious relationship with both the precision and nuance of our language, for had they been sloppy in crafting our Founding Documents you and I would be at a great disadvantage today as we claim the Rights upon which we stand.
The word unalienable is precise, and there are times we must be precise. There are times when nothing but absolute precision will do.

Anyone with any sense of the history of tyrannies of the 20th Century will understand by whom the posters were created and the true motivations of those who pull the Occupy strings.
Hey, Occupy folks: Your 1A Right does not include the Right to call for Government Force to take the fruits of my labors to be given to any cause you choose. That is clearly sedition and I would argue Treason.
This is not a democracy. You may not turn America into a democracy...mob rule.
I am not going to bother to try and educate you. You do not want to understand our system, you simply want more stuff, taken by Government from the productive and given to the unproductive.
If you call on Government to invade my Natural Rights you simply do not deserve to be among civilized people.
You are demanding the Force of Arms (Government force) to enforce your Agenda.
You call that Liberty or Freedom? You call yourself Americans?
I call that Tyranny and Treason, and I have a very low threshold for both.
And I assert that you are either stupid, or evil.
Either way, you should not breed.

President Obama's attorney sent a letter to Congressional investigators on Friday, saying the White House would not cooperate with a subpoena requesting documents related to its doling out a $535 million loan guarantee to now bankrupt solar panel manufacturer Solyndra.
The above paragraph is the type of language one hears in a real Washington scandal.
FU to the end. That's how you play hard in Washington.
When information is freely traded or testimony elicited with minimal resistance, the topic is not serious. Sure, someone will probably go under a bus in most "scandals", but if there is information being transferred between Branches of FedGov and testimony given beyond taking the Fifth Amendment, it's really not so much a scandal as it is typical Washington theatre.
Note the differences between Solyndra and GunWalker. Has anyone in GunWalker taken the Fifth? Sure, someone will go under a bus, eventually. But noone is really concerned, not even the Attorney General. If he decides to take one for the Team, he'll land in an oasis of Holy water, unicorns that poop Skittles andf 72 living virgins, and a paycheck from a K Street Lobby firm to match.
This is not an examination of the moral wrongs in Solyndra versus those of GunWalker, only the level of direct personal vulnerability of very powerful people. In GunWalker, there is not one seriously powerful person in any real jeopardy. In Solyndra, someone (probably plural) will go to Federal Prison.
Watch the nuance of news reporting these days and you will see the Spin-Masters actually using GunWalker, actually steering people toward the GunWalker story, when they want people to turn their attention away from something else. What do you think the new "militia" bust is really all about? Deflection.
Start talking about something serious, like Solyndra or EU collapse or the actual balance sheets of BofA or Goldman, and you'll suddenly see news stories about a "new" document in GunWalker, or a "new" connection discovered...
There is always a series of scandals in Washington. Most are genuine. But don't think for a second that Politicians see scandals as bad things...it is the smoke you pop at a hot LZ when you want to get your guys out. Many can be used for misdirection and deflection from real scandals. How much have you heard about Nancy Pelosi's family benefitting from Solyndra versus the number of reports about the minutia of GunWalker?

The Left wants what they want more than any coalition in America wants Liberty.
Bank Transfer Day: The Left has decided that by November 5th they will go to their Big Bank and take out their money and give it to smaller Credit Unions and hometown banks.
Now, I don't have any problem with that, at all. It could amount to a run on the Big Banks, and it could trigger a genuine Implosion as our Big Banks simply do not have enough cash on hand to give even a small percentage of their depositors the cash they supposedly own.

AP and I discussed this concept in a Comments section the other day - the ability to direct and control a mob. We likened the mob to fire, a very dangerous tool that could take on a life of its own. The Occupy and other Left activities have been fueled by the Political Class, our Masters who thought they could control the dog on the leash.
Our Masters are learning - quickly - that it is a monster at the end of the leash.
There is genuine panic gripping many in DC this weekend. If Transfer Day hits hard, SHTF could follow in days. A genuine run on the banks means they implode, or they get loans (newly printed Fed/Treasury money) in such immense quantities that the dollar implodes.
Either way, same result...if they actually follow through in significant numbers.
The Facebook page has in excess of 80,000 folks signed on as part of the Transfer Day.
When is the last time 80,000 Constitutionalists did anything?

OK - so, you are Greece. You like short work days, long lunch breaks, longer vacations, free medicine, and early retirements.
Predatory Banksters see what you want and give it to you, and you promise to pay the banks back on Tuesday for fun today, aka The Wimpy Doctrine..
Now, remember, the banks knew you were Socialistic in nature, you don't want to work hard, and you've got an FU streak in your DNA that pre-dates Christ.
But the banks lend and lend and lend...until the inevitable happens. Greeks must work harder to pay the bills.
Please remember - the banks knew to whom they were lending. That's what banks do. They look at someone who wants money and - supposedly - consider the risk before lending the money. Bad risk should mean no loans. But that's not how Banksters play the game.
The Banksters have a scheme. They think they can keep lending and lending to Socialistic Black Holes and noone would dare let them fail, because the domino effect will topple every Western Government. So...they lend and lend and lend some more. Banksters from countries all over the world lend to the Greeks. Remember, we know the Greeks are work-averse these days.
The Banksters play the same game all over Europe and in the US.
When the bills are handed to the Greeks, and the Greek people are told they must now work harder for less, the Greeks say...FU.
The smartest Greeks are saying FU Banksters...you knew we were Greek when you lent us money, and you knew we were Greeks when you kept lending us money. You knew we'd never work hard enough to pay back the interest you are demanding.
So...F...U...verra...much...
So now the Greeks look around and the obvious solution is, well, obvious. We (the Greek people) tell the greedy and stupid Banksters from France, Germany, and every other country that lent us money to F*Off, we aren't paying, and we are certainly not going to work harder just to pay you back extortionate interest rates.
The EU makes threats to the Greeks. The Greeks say, well, you know the answer by now: F...U... EU, and the horse you rode in on. (I bet that sounds cooler in Greek).
The Greeks tell the EU: We don't need your stinkin' Union, so quitting your little game looks like a good idea right about now. How about this (Say the Greeks) FU sideways, we leave the EU, you eat your losses, we print our own money again and we won't pay you one f'n drachma.
We'll call it a return to Nationalism.
This puts the rest of Europe into the horrible night-terrors. If the Greeks tell the Banksters to eat it, what is to stop the Italians and other insolvent EU nations from flipping us the same middle digit? Then we (the Banksters) get no money and we have to work for a living...flipping burgers for the Greeks, because the banks will implode and the Banksters will be out of work.
If the Greeks can do it, so can the Italians:
...as will the Portuguese and Spaniards.
The average Greek will laugh at any suggestion that Germans or Frenchmen will turn to the only remaining remedy to collect...guns. Indeed, that will be the only way the Banksters who have invested in Greece will ever get their money back. But the average Greek is smart enough to know that they are only the G in PIGS.
The Greek will laugh and dance at any such threat that a German or Frenchman with a rifle will show up at their border, because the other PIGS (Portuguese, Italians and Spaniards) will side with Greece...for they are all in the same boat, with even more debt owed to the same Banksters.
The European Union is done. Dead Union Walking, because the unproductive outnumber the productive.
Welcome to the end-state of Socialism - eventually you run out of other people's money and the lazy will flip you off when you want the rent. They'll find their National pride and tell you to suck wind and make the puffy-face...because we ain't payin'.
We are witnessing a very exciting time in human history.
The most conservative estimates I have found indicate that American Too Big to Fail banks are exposed to at least a trillion in the EU...that's twelve zeros.
Will the implosion of the EU lead to hot wars as newly revitalized nations fight one another for assets as repayment? Very possible. Will the EU collapse detonate our own TBTF banks, becoming the tripwire for our own moment of truth? Very possible.
Two great tastes that taste great together - the failure of Socialism at the expense of Banksters/Politicians/Corporate Globalists.
It's a good day.
And if it leads to the necessary cleansing of Corporate/Banking America as a result, even better. Because America simply can not survive until we cull the herd of the parasites among us, from the Americans (like those Greeks) who have their hands out taking government freebies (stolen from the productive), to the same Banksters and Corporate and Political thieves we have in our own midst.
Disclaimer: These are very clever and desperate Banksters/Politicians and Global Corporate folks who will use every tool in their toolboxes to delay this imminent implosion for as long as possible. I do not know how long they can keep all of the plates in the air. But one day, sooner than later, the first plate will crash to the ground, followed very quickly by the rest.
That is when it gets ugly in America.
That is when food, water, medicine and electricity become deadly serious matters in America.
I'm fine with it, in a saddened and resigned manner. It is bad medicine, but it must be endured. The Status Quo cannot hold. Liberty will only have a chance at rebirth in America in the hottest forge of Civil War.
So I ask the same questions asked by so many of our best thinkers: Got Tribe/Militia/Prep?
Have you got what it takes to do the ugly work necessary for Liberty to re-emerge in America and return to our republican roots?
And when the Enemies of Liberty in America beg for your mercy (even though they have been enslaving you for your entire lives, and mean to have more of it), will you share the Greek sentiment and offer the Traitor before you the proper response...

Folks, this is a re-post. I'm putting it here because it fits with the one immediately below about the Spring & Summer of 2012 that is coming fast.
Use this winter very, very wisely my friends.
Do all of the things you need to do to ensure that you and yours are as safe as can be.
Study your Sons of Liberty history and look into the spring.
A Liberty Pole was a pole set by the Sons of Liberty as a meeting place for their members. The poles quickly became a rallying point in the war leading up to shots being fired in Lexington & Concord. The British would tear down the poles and the Sons of Liberty would immediately put up a new one. There were several skirmishes between the two sides. Consider the Battle of Golden Hill, here.
The Sons of Liberty were active in every colony and they were very politically active, meeting often to discuss which candidates they would support to effect political change. The British began to denigrate the Sons of Liberty quickly, and many of the public meetings held by the Sons of Liberty turned violent - usually against commercial interests of Loyalists.
Protesting the Stamp Act the Sons of Liberty in Boston burned the effigy of Andrew Oliver in the streets to protest his office as Stamp distributor. Oliver refused to resign...so the Sons of Liberty burned his office building to the ground. The Sons of Liberty then marched on the home of Lt. Governor Thomas Hutchinson and burned it down. The result: Many Stamp officials resigned in fear.
In 1772 the HMS Gaspee was enforcing trade regulations that hurt the Colonies. When Gaspee ran aground a group of Patriots rowed out to the bellied ship, attacked her, boarded her, looted her and burned her to the keel.
In 1773 the New York Sons of Liberty distributed a warning in print against anyone supporting the Tea Act. They warned that anyone supporting the Tea Act was an enemy of Liberties of America and that whoever shall transgress any of these resolutions, we will not deal with, or employ, or have any connection with him.
Then, of course, The Sons of Liberty effected the Boston Tea Party.
After the War, the Sons of Liberty called for the expulsion of remaining Loyalists and confiscation of their property.
Modern III Patriots: Each of these acts today would be a felony, just as it was when undertaken by the original Sons of Liberty.
The answer to our problems in 2011 is the same as 1772. Our Founding generation provided a blueprint for correcting our national course.

I have had several parallel conversations recently, some with names you'd know from our community, and some you wouldn't know.
One of our best Bloggers has some ideas forming and I look forward to the time he is able to flesh it out and post on the topic of using techniques to ruffle feathers and misdirect the Enemies of Liberty who are forming around the Occupy folks. He's particularly taken note of Israeli tactics to get what they want from their enemies.
Another Patriot is considering low-risk ops for his Team that will embarrass our Enemies while giving his guys unit cohesion and real training.
Now look into the future, particularly Spring 2012. The political season will be in full swing. You can look for the Occupy folks to come back with a serious escalation of energy and intent (they'll likely head home once real winter arrives). You can (I hope) look for the Tea Party folk to be back in the streets as a counter-weight.
And where do we fit into the mix? I am specifically referring to those of you who consider yourself III Patriots, those of you who intend, one day, that you will be forced from the porch and into a serious Ruckus. What can we do in the silly season of Spring & Summer to disrupt the intent and weaken the strength of the Enemies of Liberty?
Start thinking about it now. Work out the kinks. Assemble your Team. Work your AO.
Spring and summer will likely be the best training ground you'll get before the serious work begins.
Political Masters in this country intend to put the Occupy mobs back into the field in the Spring - what can you and your Team do to disrupt the message, confuse the Useful Idiots and get them spinning or charging in the wrong direction? What can your Team do to dilute their effectiveness?
Think Dirty Tricks. Think PsyOps. Think embarrassment and ridicule. Most of all, think about getting your Team some real-time experience. Think about getting your Team in and out without being identified. This is not about violence, this is about out-thinking your enemies in a non-violent environment and making them look foolish, making them give in to their emotions and ramping up their frustrations until they make serious mistakes.
Remember: Hearts and Minds matter once it gets real. Popular support will matter in a Ruckus. If the Occupy folks and their Masters look like the bad guys (that they are), then the Silent Majority will look with favor upon our side when it gets ugly.
Think about it...and then do it.

There are many who anticipate a Balkanization of CONUS.
For some it is a Strategy for defeating the republic. Smaller pieces of a pie are easier to eat.
Some in the Patriot Community are actively seeking the same ends, through secession. The result will be the same - tyranny will win.
The Right to secede is one thing, and creating the circumstances in which few want to secede is a better goal (such as we had in 1791).
Simple fact of warfare - if this nation breaks up into pieces, she'll never be whole again and the concept of Liberty will be dead across the entire planet.

TL's latest is as good as ever, and should stir those places where your desire to be Free and at Liberty exist.
Look at Oakland as an example: Those folks do not want Liberty. They simply want your stuff, and a very large percentage want to dominate, rape, pillage and plunder for sport.
There is no ideological drive in the mobs in Oakland, they are Useful Idiots and we have at least 200,000,000 more of them in this country right now.
The few driving the herd are Communists, pure and simple.
I don't care if you don't believe me, or want to split hairs about the title we affix to the ideological core of our enemies. The simple reality is that the Enemies of Liberty vastly outnumber those who will fight for Liberty.
There will be those on "our side" of the fence who will fight to defend "their stuff", but that is not sufficient to drive back an ideologically driven enemy.
There are more Enemies of Liberty, exponentially, than Sons & Daughters of Liberty today.

Looking at the poll on the right of the blog about the potential for a 2012 Patriot Convention leads me to a few conclusions.
Firstly, given the number of people who visit this blog every day (and I thank you all), the percentage of people who participated in the poll is very low. When I was posting a poll almost daily during our writing of III to Liberty, the interaction rate was much, much higher.
So, I assume from the general silence, that most people are not interested. Of the folks who bothered to click the button, the sentiment is obvious. But of those 37 of you who voted Yes...is it worth it even if all of you managed to agree on a time and place?
I know that simply because past attempts may have had dismal turnout we should not discount the potential for a better result this time...but we must admit the reality for success is low.
Would our time and resources spent this spring and summer showing up in kit, armed where legal, at Tea Parties, Occupy Events, and other political gatherings be a better way to spread the message? Since we are all spread relatively far and wide, we can cover a lot more territory, spending fewer resources, especially if we have a set of talking points that can be agreed upon online.
Side note: First Impressions matter. There is a time and place for cammies. Personally, you'll never find me in cammies at a political event, especially if I choose to represent the III. A tactical III cap, OD Go Bag, blue jeans, and whatever 2A I am legally permitted make a statement without bringing stereotypes immediately into play.
CA offered three for our purposes that make a lot of sense. I'll take the liberty to repeat them here:
1) Does anyone have the RIGHT to tell you what you can do to and with your BODY, so long as you are not harming another person or their property?
2) Does anyone have the RIGHT to tell you what you can do to and with your PROPERTY, regardless of type, so long as you are not harming another person or their property?
3) Does anyone have the RIGHT to tell you what you must do to and with your CHILD, so long as you are not hurting that child and are providing her with food/clothing/shelter/moral and other educational instruction?

If we make it a point to be where the people and media choose to be, discussing our points or handing out fliers, or pocket Constitutions, we will get attention simply by being armed and geared-up. Keep it simple and legal. Use small words - our college kids today don't have the vocabulary one might expect. Stand your ground, state your piece, and do not back up.
If you will not be a modern Son or Daughter of Liberty, who will?
Sandman over at Curtis' place did it just the other day. He walked into an Occupy camp, identified himself, and found some of these folks are actually capable of and willing to listen. They may not be converts...but at least at the end of the day, they can never say they weren't warned...
Wear your III tactical cap. Be an Ambassador. If you find someone who genuinely wants to learn, give him a DoI, Constitution or BoR so he can read the words, unfiltered by his professors. If you meet an idiot, treat him like an idiot. Get it on video for youtube, if possible. ;)
We are the III. We are not, and never will be an Army. We are the shock troops, the scouts, the ones who are best suited to solo and small team ops. One Ranger per riot, one III'per per Occupy.
But if you want a PatriotCon, the time is now to speak up. TL mentioned it a month or more ago. It's been mentioned here and there. It's on the table here, now. Any spring event needs to be worked out now, lead time is essential.
One thing is certain: When the Spring weather breaks, Occupy and Tea Party and other political groups will be out there. We should be among them.

We look reverently to our Founding Generation.
These men and women inspire us, churn passions that are the basest in nature...Freedom and Liberty.
They took risks. To be certain, the King would have killed many of them if he ever had the chance. But for the most part, the Founders we call to mind most easily (save Washington) were not combatants. They were politicians. When they took personal risks, it was often in the earliest days, stoking and guiding and, at times, participating in Sons of Liberty style events.
Nathan Hale was caught, and he may be the closest of that generation that we would call a martyr.
Martyr is a big word in the history of our world.
Martyrs can change the course of history.
Most folks associate Martyrdom with a willful death in the name of a cause. See Jesus.
Most Americans simply don't have that gene, I think. This is why we do not have American suicide bombers. Sure, we'll risk death when it matters, but we aren't stepping into the muck with the intent to be killed, become a martyr, and thus shift the course of history.
We'd rather kick arse, win, and avoid the whole death experience, if possible.
Makes sense to me.
But as you consider your place in our current debates, permit your mind to wander the avenue of martyrdom and the power that comes with a man or woman who takes a stand, refuses to yield, and is willing to suffer the consequences.
Until we have men and women who are willing to risk it all, willing to be labeled as martyrs by history, willing to take the field or die trying, we are spinning our wheels.
I have no intention of ever becoming a martyr. It simply is not on my bucket list.
I plan to win, and I will often build-in an exit strategy.
There are times I step up and refuse to yield. You don't need the details about those moments.
But until we stop drawing our lines in the sand in the safety zone, Liberty will never exist in this country again. We all do it, to some extent. We only buy the 2A "They" permit us to buy, after the proper forms have been submitted and approved. We allow Them to go knuckles-deep in our wives and children at airports, train stations, and coming soon to a highway near you. Too many of us hold our tongues in the face of Liberal stupidity. Most of us pay our taxes, as demanded.

Many of you know that since I was introduced to KD over at CA's place, I have followed his Ticker daily.
I have found Karl to be a very quick mind, intelligent, accomplished with many serious businesses (and diverse) in his background. When it comes to financial analyses, I have not yet found fault.
When it comes to political analyses...I am not as confident.
First, he voted for President Obama. Had that been a financial decision, he'd now be a pauper.
Second, he has, it seems to me, an axe to grind against the Tea Party. Now, I get that and I know many of you do, too - the real Tea Party was hijacked. But that doesn't mean that the people who were there in the beginning of the Tea Party are gone, or duped. Some, sure, but most of those folks who I know just got disgusted and walked away.
Karl posted an OWS working group position paper that, essentially, mimicks Jefferson and leaves Hamilton out of the mix. I can live with that. Karl is declaring, with just a hint of reservation, that this is evidence that Occupy is essentially the new and real Tea Party.
But, every political sense I have is screaming that this is merely more PsyOps and obfuscation by the folks pulling the strings behind the scenes of the Occupy Useful Idiots.
The more the Occupy folks "seem" to be inline with Jefferson, fly Gadsden, affirm their love of the Constitution as ratified...the harder it gets for real Constitutionalists to make an argument against them.
And at the end of the day, I do not see the Occupy folks sticking with any Jeffersonian vision of the republic.
They will look to expand General Welfare, Interstate Commerce and Necessary & Proper as unbound license to redistribute wealth in the name of the Constitution.
Time will tell where the true center of power exists in the Occupy Movement, but I would caution all of us to look for the hook before biting the bait on this Movement.
