If there are 33% standing, they stand strongly opposed to you and your silly notions of Liberty. The number is likely much higher than 66%, because there are at least 50% on the official roll call of the FSA, with another significant portion of the working class & Establishment in support of Entitlements, et cetera.

The Third Amendment is one of those we don't talk about much these days. It seems like one of those concerns that was far more relevant to our Founders than to us.
But I found myself once again struck by their wisdom today as I read a post over at Curtis' place. He linked to a story about how DHS has issued a warning that our bus system is the number 1 target of Mo these days. Of course, now we have no choice but to accept VIPR checkpoints across the highways. And since Mo may be in any car as he hunts for bus-riding victims, all drivers in all car models are subject to TSA pat downs...
Consider a near-future DHS memo: Terrorist chatter indicates that their new number 1 target is Americans in their homes.
Remedy: DHS will place Agents in your home, Citizen, to ensure that Mo is not hiding under your bed.
Far-fetched? Really?
Then I would ask you to consider merging goals of those who would be our Masters...
We know that the State of Michigan considers anyone on Medicaid to be "State Employees" (with dues obligations to SEIU).
So, why would DHS not simply deputize college kids (for a reduced payment on their college loans) or homeless people (because homeless is bad, m'kay) and assign them to your basement, guest room, or sofa? Of course, as a fully deputized DHS Agent, they would See All and Say Everything to their Masters. Your secrets would be no more.
Yes, my examples are deliberately cast toward the ridiculous...but where on the ridiculous spectrum do you put DHS and those who want to be your Masters?

According to New York Magazine, Max Berger is a 26 year old "Professional Activist" for the Left.
He gets paid, probably with your tax dollars, to stir the sh*t pot.
He gets paid to advance the cause of the Enemies of Liberty. That makes him an Enemy of Liberty.
Consider that he gets paid by your fellow Countrymen to advance the demise of Constitutional ideals.
He may look across a line into the eyes of a LEO in riot gear and see an adversary, but they are fingers on the same hand, dancing to the same puppeteer.
You and I should aspire to be "Professional Patriots". Our pay will not be coin of the realm, for we are the only ones who produce. Our pay will be no more or less than the quantity of Liberty we strive to produce for ourselves and our Tribe.
If we do become Professional Patriots, accepting our pay in trade (Liberty), we will begin to earn more coin, as a byproduct of ridding our world of the parasitic garbage that is murdering the host...and our republic.
How many mouths do you feed with your paychecks every month? Look at your "tax contributions". Do you, by yourself, cover the cost of one or more "Disabled" Government teet-suckers? More?
Liberty simply can not exist in an America in which we permit people like Max Berger to remain. He should be given a one-way ticket to any country in the world, and forbidden to ever return to America. I'll treat. It will be some of the best money I have ever invested.
His occupation is to add more mouths to feed to your monthly "contribution"...and those mouths are not those of your children, or your responsibility.
His occupation...get it? We finance these people. While you turn wrenches or sling burgers or crunch numbers, or, whatever...this guy goes to work every day and collects a paycheck for undermining America.
Remember: The Americans will hang themselves with the rope we sell to them...
We are watching it with our own eyes, right now.
And do not give me any garbage about his 1A Rights...they do not extend to speech that results in the theft of the fruits of my labor by Government force. The Constitution is not a suicide pact. Any act that is unconstitutional is void, and may be ignored (until enforced by Mao's barrel of a gun in an American LEO hand on behalf of Max and his friends). We'll see who wins this argument...soon.

Let's start working on where since I will not be able to firm up solid dates until Mid January due to work related issues. I don't get weekends, I work steady and then have some time off, but when working there is little or no way to be absent with a serious illness in the family, if that.
So, the areas suggested so far have been Kentucky (which I am not partial to necessarily) Pennsylvania near the Ohio border, Vermont and Wyoming.
Vermont and Wyoming have good gun laws, exceptional support from the government in Wyoming, at least the Constitutional Sheriffs there. Vermont offers some security for our get together.
Kentucky and Pennsylvania have a central location aspect that is hard to overcome, not central to the United States, but central to the population. There is a lot of territory in the Western states, but very few inhabitants.

There is a word I have been driving home for many years, and it was the premise of my book Our Fathers Weep: It's the Constitution, Stupid!
That word is Treason.
Slowly, I am finding more and more among the Patriot Community are finding that this single, horrible word best describes the actions of many among our Countrymen.
Cato, the American used it in this post.
We need cohesion. We need a singlular identifier for our problems. We need a singlular remedy (that does not limit further remedies afterward).
When we all agree that what our Countrymen are doing is Treason...
When we all agree that the first waypoint on the road back to Liberty is Restoration, as ratified and in the spirit of the DoI & BoR...
Then we will become a cohesive force with which to be reckoned...providing we take that next logical step and prove we damned well mean to be men at Liberty once more, by any means necessary.
Your Rights to Free Speech and Self-Determination give you NO RIGHT to demand my subjugation. Socialism, Communism, Liberalism, are Treason, by definition.

I have had beef with OathKeepers from day one, regarding the unconstitutional acts they perform every day, right now...and the value of their promise not to do so in the future.
But new intel is new intel, here.

Here is one excerpt. The question asked was in 1994 and asked to active duty Marines.
Cunningham’s question: “Consider the following statement: I would fire upon U.S. citizens who refuse or resist confiscation of firearms banned by the U.S. government.” The result: “42.3 percent strongly disagreed with this statement; 19.3 percent disagreed; 18.6 percent agreed; 7.6 percent strongly agreed; and 12.0 percent had no opinion.” This equates to approximately 61% of Marines saying they would defy orders to turn their weapons on US citizens in order to disarm them; 26% saying they would not disobey such orders; and 12% refusing to say one way or the other, which means you could probably add them to the 26% who would not disobey orders to turn their weapons on American citizens.
I still haven't rec'd an answer from OathKeepers that I asked more than a year ago: Your members promise not to follow unconstitutional orders at some future date, so how do your active duty LEO handle drug cases, 2A cases, do they participate in random violations of 4A...
Funny, I have not seen one report in the media or even on a blog of a LEO resigning rather than violating his oath. When it comes to the military, I would suggest that you hope for the best, and prepare to be fired upon...
And remember Rich T's comment from another thread (I'm paraphrasing): Do not forget about PMC's (Private Military Companies) that earn their money from the same people as do LEO and the military.

When an Executive Agency is so out of control that it must become the work of the US Congress to pass a bill to thwart that Agency from fining Americans for dust on a dirt road, you recognize the problem, yes?
But wait, it's worse.
This is the fault of Congress in the first place. Why? Because Congress writes laws in an intentionally vague manner so that they can't be blamed when over-zealous tyrants want to fine you for dust on a dirt road. They leave to the bureaucrats the details of implemetation.
Everyone is guilty in our Government. From the Congress that voted in the original law that permits EPA to latitutde to do its work, to the EPA personnel that fail to curb their unconstitutional acts, to the Executive, to whom EPA reports...to those who voted for these idiots and those who have not yet forced their eviction (you & me).
There comes a time when the only two choices remain are to empty the building to the foundation and original walls, to burning it all to the ground.
I prefer taking her down to the bones: The Constitution as ratified.

Our Fathers Weep: It's the Constitution Stupid! is my first book, as relevant today as when written 2 years ago.
If we return to the principles of the Constitution, implemented by moral men in the spirit of the DoI and BoR, 99% of our problems go away.
No man has a Constitutional Right to convert our economy to Socialism. The Constitution forbids it.
Such basic truths are dismissed by our Political Class, and such basic truths are never taught to our schoolchildren.
Be rid of those who would pervert the Constitution, and we rid ourselves of a disease.

I had a great phone conversation last evening with CIII.
It is discussions like this that make me more confident of the value of meeting one another at events such as TL's and Bill's. If a brief phone conversation can help us feel more connected to another Patriot, imagine the value of meeting and sharing some time at a fire or meal. It need not be about anything more than the meeting of people who share the same values.
If you need to recharge the batteries, consider finding a way to meet those who share your values beyond this screen. I look forward to shaking hands with CIII in the near future.

A group of up to 55 teens showed up on another girls doorstep to finish a fight that had started at school a few days earlier. The kids who showed up were serious.
Two LEO showed up, and as soon as they pulled out the cuffs to start arresting a few in the group...they got their arses whipped.
A nearby fire truck rolled up and turned loose the water cannon, then more LEO rolled in, and the problem wrestled under control.
The takeaway: LEO is not seen as an authority figure if they are outnumbered, even by teenagers.
There will be more of this as things get rougher across the land.
