New poll: Look in the right column

There remain many in our community who advocate fighting now (or, at least they berate those who are not yet fighting).

Since it is obvious that not one single Patriot across the republic has gone to work yet, for there has not been a single report of a disappeared, tarred & feathered, or otherwise taken to task Enemy of Liberty, I thought I'd ask...why?

The poll is in the upper right column.

Basic Jefferson

The Constitution articulates precisely what the Federal Government may do.

The Bill of Rights articulates absolute restrictions, those things FedGov may not do.

You'll notice I use the word may, not can

There is an abyss between what one may do and what one can doCan is a matter of power, and the will to violate.

Jefferson: “We … disavow and declare to be most false and unfounded, the doctrine that the compact, in authorizing its federal branch to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises to pay the debts and provide for the common defence and general welfare of the United States, has given them thereby a power to do whatever they may think or pretend would promote the general welfare, which construction would make that, of itself, a complete government, without limitation of powers; but that the plain sense and obvious meaning were, that they might levy the taxes necessary to provide for the general welfare by the various acts of power therein specified and delegated to them, and by no others.”

Most answers to our problems can be found in the writings of Jefferson, and the study of RevWarOne.

Here is more from Curtis.

Attorney General will only leave on his terms...

There is a new report that 90 Congressmen have signed onto a No Confidence resolution regarding Attorney General Holder.  Wow, that's gotta hurt, huh?

You think this is news that matters?

How many R's in the House?  And only 90 signed up?  What does that tell you?

Many folks in our community are throwing up their hands, confused by the fact that the Attorney General still holds his office, in light of GunWalker, Black Panthers, et cetera.

I would suggest that anyone who doesn't understand is really not up to speed on the polygonal battlespace.

To your mind Holder is behaving badly.

To the Enemies of Liberty, he is doing his job...very well.

In a "typical" D Administration, Eric Holder would have already been thrown under the bus.

But if you haven't yet figured out that this is not a "typical" D Administration, I can't help you.

These people are waging a war.  They are fighting for the ideals in which they believe.  They are not fighting merely for power or riches. They are fighting for ideology.

And they are winning, easily.

They will not sacrifice an effective Battlefield General until moving him to another part of the war front is advantageous for Them.  They do not give a whit about your timeline or your offended sensibilities.

Eric Holder will leave the DoJ when he is darned good and ready.  He will not leave as a battered man under a cloud of guilt.  He will leave to where he can be more effective.  His replacement will have a very hard time living up to the image the Left has of Holder.  He is a hero in their eyes.

Anyone who thinks Patriots have won a single grain of sand if Eric Holder steps down is simply not fighting on the same field as is the Left.

Here's the story about the 90 "brave" R's who don't like him.

Militant LEO: No worries, move along Citizens...

The new weaponry and battle gear, they insist, helps save lives in the face of such threats. “I don’t see us as militarizing police; I see us as keeping abreast with society,” former Los Angeles Police chief William Bratton says. “And we are a gun-crazy society.”

What do you do when you are one person, part of a very tiny minority, who understands that the world is hurtling toward ruin and savage conflict?

You know what is coming.  But those around you do not care, or do not want to care.

Here is the story about militarization of local LEO.

But what good are we doing, swapping these stories amongst our own?

Newt to Gay Guy: Vote for President Obama

Newt Gingrich told a gay man and longtime resident of Oskaloosa here today that he should vote for President Obama.

“I asked him if he’s elected, how does he plan to engage gay Americans. How are we to support him? And he told me to support Obama,” said Scott Arnold, an associate professor of writing at William Penn University.

Impeachment

I wrote this about a year ago.  It is time for a re-print:

The Hard Right of the political spectrum wants real Patriots in office to restore faithful respect for the Constitution and our Founding Principles.

There are, essentially, three options to rectify the problems of a Government that insists upon violating the restrictions and parameters of the Constitution.  All three are Constitutionally approved, deliberately put in the Constitution by our Framers because they understood that there will always be men who mean to be Masters, and that the People deserve morally responsible means of being rid of Tyrants.

In America we can change our Government by the vote, by Impeachment, and if those mechanisms are denied by corruption, we have the Second Amendment.  Until Benjamin Franklin applied his brain to the issue, we only had the vote and violence as options.  There was a lot of open space between the two.

Franklin understood that those in power would from time to time, as he said, "...render themselves obnoxious..." and place themselves at odds with Liberty and the People.  Obviously, an obnoxious Master would give no weight to a vote against him, and the only remaining option for the People to be rid of him would be violence against all of Government, or assassination of the individual being obnoxious.

Franklin understood and argued that including an Impeachment mechanism that offered the ability to punish and remove an obnoxious member of the Political Class would save the republic from the problematic effects of assassinations.  Assassinations are not only less than civilized, but they impose abrupt disruptions to the country.

Also, they are final.  The Impeachment mechanism provides for a defense, the opportunity for the accused to provide a response to the charge of being obnoxious.

Article I of the Constitution provides the House with the sole power of Impeachment, on the following grounds:  ...treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors...

High crimes and misdemeanors are deliberately vague.  It is clear that the mechanism of Impeachment is intended as a remedy for criminal misconduct, but also political misconduct.  Franklin considered any act worthy of assassination to be an impeachable offense.  Conduct that does not rise to the level of warranting assassination likewise does not warrant Impeachment.

Generally speaking an Impeachable offense is one that finds the obnoxious party expanding the role of Government beyond the boundaries set by the Constitution.  For our purposes, any politician who advocates or acts to expand Government beyond the clearly enumerated powers of our Constitution warrants Impeachment proceedings in the House, and trial in the Senate.

As America struggles with efforts to Restore the republic, citizens must consider the power of Impeachment.  The Constitution identifies the President, the Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States as qualified for Impeachment.  This includes the Judiciary and bureaucrats, but certainly excludes members of the military.  It is generally considered that Members of Congress may not be Impeached, though many would argue that Franklin's standard of Impeachment must apply to Members of Congress, lest the only recourse remaining in the face of a corrupted voting procedure would be assassination or armed revolution, precisely what the Impeachment mechanism is intended to prevent.

End a fight

Humans have a carotid on either side of the neck.  If you don't know where it is just feel for the pulse 2-3 inches to either side of the trachea.

Just above the pulse the carotid turns into the internal carotid.

The internal carotid has baroreceptors.  These are little widgets that send an emergency signal to shut down bloodflow to the brain when they get rattled.

A moderate or strong strike to the carotid or slightly above will shock the baroreceptors into doing their job, and the bad guy will suffer an immediate drop in bloodflow to the brain.

That's bad for him, m'kay.

If you can get a choke in place and shut down the bloodflow, great.  But sometimes the bad guy just doesn't cooperate.  In most CQB fights you will have several opportunities to slip a good punch or knife edge strike (the ridge of your hand, either the index finger edge or the pinky edge) and shock that part of his neck.  Hit it good, and he'll get loopy, quick.

Then, do what you will.  Obviously, this is dangerous.  Don't hit your training partner here with any force.  For educational purposes only.  Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.  I can't think of any more disclaimers right now.

Update: Kenny reminds that we should never run with scissors...

Why did so many Jews die in Holland: Collaborators.

75% of the Jews in Holland were killed by the Nazi's.

Historians conclude that there were more Collaborators than armed resistance.

And the new virus created in a University: By a Dutchman.

Here is a good piece about Dutch collaborators in WWII.

Moral of the story: Only a fool turns his back on a Dutchman (or fellow Countryman).

Sherman, Lincoln, President Obama and the next General who will kill us...

Brock is very well-read on the Civil War (RevWarTwo), and he found a gem from Sherman.

Read the quote from the man who ravaged the South, the man who followed Lincoln, and remember that our current President and many around him idolize Lincoln as well.

Do you think they still see those of us who believe in States Rights and the Constitution in general as men who must be killed?

I think the answer is obvious.

The next time you see a uniformed man or woman who earns his bread by working as an Enforcer for the State, let Sherman's words remind you of the peril.

Here's the link to Brock's Place.

Shame

The Number 3 at the US State Department, talking about the newest piece of North Korean wormfood: "He was smart and a quick problem-solver," and that "[Kim Jong Il] is also witty and humorous. Our overall impression was very different from the way he was known to the outside world."

History will know this period of America as our most shameful.

Or, Liberty will die at their hands, they will write the history books, and they will claim this is the period in America of the highest honor.

You and I get to help write the chapter.  How do you think it will go?

Here's the story.

Movement in your AO

Most major cities and many smaller cities across the land are surrounded by a loop of highway that facilitates travel.  The above pic is the DC Beltway.  In my professional life I have come to know the city and suburbs very well.

I also know how few assets it would take to virtually shut down travel in the greater DC Metro area.  If one looks at the various cities across the country with a looping highway, consider it a fence.  Sure, it won't be an airtight fence, but if the Enemies of Liberty chose to shut down DC by using the Beltway as a perimeter, moving would become seriously impaired.

Now consider units at major intersections throughout the area, both inside and outside the Beltway.  Add roving patrols.  Add your See Something, Say Something neighbors.

Consider trucks being stopped from delivering to your food stores.  Consider rationed electricity and water.  Consider those of us who are on a List, and how easy it becomes for OpFor to visit us, while E&E becomes exponentially more difficult.

Remember that Hitler shut Jews into Ghettos.

How easy would it be for a relatively small force to shut down your city?  It would not need to be a long-term blockade to be effective.  Your neighbors are lucky if they have 72 hours of supplies.  Without power, gas, water, making use of those supplies becomes difficult.  90 days of control would turn a city into a death camp.

Consider if the Enemies of Liberty chose a metropolitan area in the middle of a desert, such as Phoenix, and decided that it would become "Home" to Bad Guys like you and me?  Cutting off an entire city is not hard in America, if FedGov decides to do it.  Turning that city into a prison is easy, especially if walking out into the desert is your only escape route.

Consider movement in your AO, Patriots.

It will not be as easy as you may think, especially in the opening phase.

If you live beyond the immediate quarantine zones and choose to go to where the action is, think very hard about the challenges of even getting to the fight.

Get into the nitty-gritty.

Entire cities can be turned into prisons.  I can tell you that those prisons will devolve quickly into death camps.

Self-Identity: President places himself 4th of all Presidents...

...behind Johnson, FDR and Lincoln.

But, says the President, he still has more work to do at home.

“The issue here is not going be a list of accomplishments. As you said yourself, Steve, you know, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln — just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history. But, you know, but when it comes to the economy, we’ve got a lot more work to do.”

Republican Facade Cracking

“People are going to look at who comes in second and who comes in third,” said Gov. Terry Branstad. “If [Mitt] Romney comes in a strong second, it definitely helps him going into New Hampshire and the other states.”

The story they are floating is that if Ron Paul wins, it will be a result of trickery among D's and I's who vote for him in the caucus and then vote for President Obama in the General.

OK, that is a model that works.  Rush pushed for the same thing in recent years.

But, is it reality?  Will Ron Paul win only as a result of trickery, or is it genuine?

If he wins Iowa, I guess we'll know as we go forward into other elections.  By Super Tuesday, we'll know.

But the R facade is failing,  The mask of the pretty young gal is cracking, and we can see the evil old hag beneath, fangs and all.

If Ron Paul is your candidate, I would suggest you go right now and give him a few bucks.  He needs to stomp the snot out of the field in Iowa to build momentum and overcome the spin.

The ugly, simple truth is that to win in politics you need cash.  This has always been so, and always been the case.

Here's the story from Iowa.

Patriots will soon be declared enemies of the republic

Any American who does not understand that Patriots are being positioned to be the Jews of our time are simply not paying attention.

The evidence is not only abundant, but the Enemies of Liberty do not even bother to hide their intent.

The Nazi's murdered 105,000 Jews in Holland, out of a total population of 140,000.

That's about 75%.

Consider the prospects for Liberty if 75% of Patriots were killed, disappeared, or simply sent into prison for the remainder of our lives.  And remember, our Enemies do not differentiate between Constitutionalists, Secessionists, Ron Paul supporters, NRA members...

Their bayonets are all pointed in the same direction...at us.

With all of this evidence on display, what are you doing?  That is rhetorical, please do not post your intent.  But I would suggest if you are still trapped in the It can't happen here paradigm, you will soon be dead or in prison.

Hitler took Rotterdam and Holland folded.  Hitler promised that Holland would continue to exist under their own laws...until he changed his mind.  He set about the systemic eradication of the Jews and the complete enslavement of the population.

Resistance was but a few thousand men with arms.

We have seen this all before.  It is coming for you, next.

The executioner has tied the knot of the noose and is slipping it about our heads, right now.

In a short amount of time this will be over.

Will you simply wait until they come to your door before you stand up?  Again, that is rhetorical.  But the answer had better already be answered between your ears.
