Justice Dept opposes Texas voter ID law

Texas wants to force people to get a picture ID before voting.

DoJ protests.

Now, before you knee-jerk to stand against anything endorsed by the current Administration, check your First Principles. Far too many Patriots fail to gut-check before spouting.

Do you believe the State has the Authority and/or Power to assign identity documents to you? Do you take the position that a Citizen is required to have identity documents in order to participate in American life - such as driving, voting, flying?

The real problem Texas has is with people who should not be here flooding the voting stations to stuff the boxes for D's.

That is the problem...and is the solution really being approved by Patriots that Citizens line up for papers? Wrong direction, Scooter.

There are other solutions, based on Liberty. Let's not go backwards.

Wyoming: Town for sale

Now, this is an outstanding example of the concept. Mike C. found the column and sent it to me.

Buford Wyoming, population 1, is 10 acres, has a convenience store with gas station and other infrastructure, all up for auction beginning at $100,000.

Buford is located about halfway between Cheyenne and Laramie.

If one guy can do it, certainly a modern wagontrain of motivated III can do it.

I disagree with several fundamental assertions Tom takes, and have explained them many times before in books, columns, comments and here at the blog. No sense going over them again.

Here's the relevant point: Whether one wants the Constitution or not, getting back to a condition that existed prior to Lincoln's victory in RevWarII will serve as a significant waypoint on the travels back to Liberty.

Let's get to that waypoint, then talk about the next step.

Until then: Restore the Constitution, as ratified, and implemented in the spirit of the DoI and BoR.

Let's all remember that Lysander was just fine with the Constitution until the Union abused it so egregiously and enslaved the entire republic.

It is not perfect. And any argument that it was all a conspiracy fails on so many levels I can't begin, again, to bother. But, here's one: The men who drafted the Constitution and signed their names to it are not the men who imposed it upon the States. No, you see it took years for each state legislature to ratify...so, unless you contend that every State Legislature was part of the conspiracy, and they got away with the world's grandest Conspiracy right out in the open, in a post-Revolutionary War environment where men would not have hesitated to pick up their kit again and go hunting for tyrants in political office...

Where are we headed?

What have we accomplished working together through this III blog and with other Liberty blogs?

We've published a book about our community with the help of several serious Patriots. People like Brock are still investing their time and money and effort to help promote this project, and we are doing the same across Virginia.

We've got a political organization that is slowly building so we can have an organized presence.

We've got ads on the radio in two demographics, and we are adding people from those areas to our ranks. More to come.

We have flags (coming), patches, shirts and other III Gear to build cohesion and morale, while spreading the Brand.

We have a III SHTF Project in the works that is bringing our community together, building bridges into the "NRA" community, and for the first time I have seen, convincing the corporate world that our community is worthy of interaction. We have several serious companies involved with the SHTF Project.

We are discussing a concept about building a III Community in Wyoming, around a business that will provide the revenue for Patriots to earn real incomes. This project, if we are lucky enough to get it going, can never become a "Frat Club" that blocks people from joining based on economic station. Any serious Patriot who is willing to show up and work must be given the opportunity to build a life surrounded by other Patriots. Some very good ideas have been offered on the threads, including the potential of a co-op rather than a corporation. We'll keep exploring the concept.

We have a growing number of PatComs where Patriots are taking the time and effort to meet one another. Many are sharpening Comms skills and working out the details of surviving what is imminent. Keep prepping. That is the sine qua non.

TL is soon hosting a national Summit in Pennsylvania for those who can attend.

We have a growing number of Bloggers/Propagandists working to further the goals of Liberty. I have also noted a decline in hyperbole and an increase of practical thinking regarding how and when to move forward. We are a diverse group, and we'll never be any more harmonious than, say, the Constitutional Convention. But all things considered, I have noted a net + in recent months.

There is probably more that I am missing.

What we have, Patriots, is progress.

Never forget the goal of Restoration, and never fall into a lull and forget that there is an imminent paradigm shift coming at us hard and fast. Voting will not stop what is coming. Voting and office holders will matter far more during and after Implosion than they do today.

Stay safe, and keep moving forward.

PatComs, Wyoming, Blogging - all parts of the same Movement

The American Revolution was not a spontaneous uprising by individuals as we’ve been (barely) taught to believe. For years in advance, men such as Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock worked tirelessly to organize the resistance to a war which they saw as inevitable. They formed “Safety Committees” in which meetings were held with town elders, officers, and clergy. Paul Revere himself held several offices in Boston in the years prior to the Revolution, in addition to his efforts for the Revolution. He managed to be a successful silversmith and father to a large family as well.

So, you're walking down the street...

...you've got your pistol on your hip, because that's how you roll.

Down on the corner you see a group of thugs throwing rocks at a guy and his family. You've seen the guy around, but don't really know him or his family. What you do know is that he seems to be a good citizen, his kids are happy and his wife doesn't have either eye swelled shut for back-talking - so, you remain relatively certain he's a good guy.

The guys throwing rocks, on the other hand, you know are Bad People. They demonstrate it every chance they get. Now they are throwing rocks at women and kids - on the street in your town.

Moral indignation rise? Do you race down the street and give the guy your back-up piece while starting to bust caps toward the Bad People?

Or, do you say "Screw them. It's their problem."?

Welcome to Israel and her neighbors.

When you boil it down to basics, that's the situation. Basic good guys are attacked by bad guys.

Right now, today, Bad People are throwing missiles from Gaza into the 'burbs and cities of Israel, trying to kill people in their homes, at work, wherever they can be hit.

You haven't heard much of that in MSM these days.

What would you do if your neighbors down the street were throwing .223 rounds at your house, randomly hoping to hit you, your wife, or your kids? Wouldn't you appreciate it if other basic good guys helped you make the missiles stop?

Sure, there is more to the story between Israel and her neighbors.

But the basics are in place.

Here's the story about the missiles and the Israeli anti-missile system, which gets quite a work-out. When is the last time your city missile defense had to go into action?

The basics: You stand with good guys and you kill bad guys.

From Toaster: Change

Some might say we have exactly the Government we deserve as a people.

Is not our Government (all levels, from dog catcher up) very much like the overwhelming majority of our Countrymen? How can it not be? Government is nothing but a collection of individuals, and elected politicians, like it or not, are voted into office by people who want them to do exactly what they are doing.

You and I are outnumbered by the mobs. Without principles in the hearts of the masses, we are left with simple Mob Rule. Consider, simply as a mental exercise, how many people would have to leave the country in order for Constitutionalists and other morally sound Americans to be the majority...

The worst examples of people who abuse the power of Government, examples that we always assumed were in other lands, are happening here, every single day.

Let's face the fact: The vast majority of our Countrymen have the moral compass befitting a Third World Country.

Change is coming, it is happening now. How the story ends is not yet written. I have a rough draft in my head - but so do the Enemies of Liberty. And they have the numbers on their side. They possess every advantage...except the genuine Moral High Ground.

III: Wyoming Caucus Update

UPDATE: Ron Paul took Weston County in Wyoming caucuses, which most of you say is heavy FSW territory (NorthEast corner of the state). It looks like Sublette will choose next month, and I haven't found anything on Fremont yet.

Sublette has just over 10,000 population, which argues that III pioneers could make a difference there with smaller numbers, compared to the 40,000 who live in Fremont County. Of course, population numbers are a factor, but not the only thing to be considered.

I figured we'd start a new thread - it gets clumsy bumping the posts and once the comments reach a certain point.

So: After much insight offered by many of you, I am looking at Sublette & Fremont Counties. I like the topography. I think both counties bring a lot to the table for a potential III Community, while avoiding the highest cost of living in the Jackson Hole part of the mountains.

Here are some hard facts: I do not think this has any more success potential than Free State Wyoming unless we can import jobs and earning potential with us. As discussed, being part of a serious firearms company is on my To-Do list before I die. It is a good time to be in such a business, and as we've noted, in a SHTF world it would not hurt for a III Community to be in control of such an asset, with a complementary ammo loading facility. Many of us bring other skills to the table and could offer training in various disciplines to folks from across the country. This is how Capitalism works, and it is how a III community could truly be self-sufficient and self-perpetuating.

Real world: To buy the requisite piece of property, get the necessary buildings (even pre-fab to begin) and infrastructure in place, hire sufficient skilled professionals and have the necessary capital to have a legitimate chance of survival is a back-of-the-envelope $4 million. In my mind, this would include small pre-fab housing as a starting point for a number of folks who would need support when arriving.

It would be foolish for any of us to take a plunge and uproot our lives if we are not relatively confident we have our backsides covered, with a legitimate potential for success.

At this moment in life, I certainly don't have the money to bankroll anything like this effort. Nor will we get there as a group by selling flags & mugs. I have two business activites that could get us there if they work out (one of which I'll actually be posting about soon), but relying on either of those as sources of funding isn't business, it's hoping & guessing - not my style.

So, how do we get there? I see two possibilities.

First: Since what we are proposing is a cross between a mining town and a Hippie Commune, and every Patriot involved should have skin in the game as well as income and security from the efforts, the most feasible solution is selling stock in whatever company we decide to run.

I have the ability to underwrite that much of an effort, and the experience - BUT: It is not as simple as just forming a company and advertising "Stock for Sale" on a blog. The SEC will be involved and every state in which stock is advertised will be involved - they require paperwork filings, registration fees, and at least a dozen headaches per state. This avenue is not cheap, it is not easy, it is legally complex, and there is one certainty: It ain't going to happen simply by selling stock to the current pool of III Patriots who read our blogs.

So, at least today, this is a non-starter.

Second option: We grow our pool of Patriots to a number that is large enough for everyone to buy in for a few thousand shares (even those folks who choose to support the effort without relocating), and we raise the capital needed to do this prudently. The 527 exists to grow our community, but the reality is simple - at current course & speed the 527 will be big enough to try this about a decade after Implosion.

Final Option: One of you has a few million laying around and cuts a check. Let me know, and I'll send you the mailing address. ;)

Unless someone has another idea for getting the capital, we remain in the arena of "Good idea".

If I had the money to underwrite this operation, I'd be in Wyoming right now with several of you, scouting locations, choosing contractors to set up our digs, and meeting with current county & town leaders to negotiate terms. If I get the money, I'll do the same.

Tribe.

The most realistic course for us given these realities: Let's noodle through the plan and get to a point that when we can do it, we will pull the trigger. Delayed gratification, with a clear goal, plan, and then execution when it is prudent.

At the same time, let's continue working to grow our community. That is where we will find success, on many fronts. Hit the high return-on-investment locations and hand out flyers & business cards and drive as many people as you can to WRSA and our other blogs.

Consider the direction you would like to see the III take, as a community. Do we want to be visible, and in the faces of Occupy and SEIU this summer? Do we want to hang back and let those folks exercise LEO so both sides burn resources (and gain battle experience)?

Do we want to have a political voice in the world? That was the purpose of the 527 - to grow our ranks to the point that when we write an Editor or call a Congressman, he takes the call and knows who we are. Do we all agree on a common mantra, such as : Restore the Constitution, and drive it hard? Do we consider a serious, continuing presence at places like Gun Shows where we can recruit, and possibly even ask new folks who find us to pay an official "Membership" to finance our voice?

Or, do we remain as we are...which, folks, is unknown by most people and disliked by many who do know us for our positions and/or past sins?

Do we continue to bicker over tomato/tomahto issues and tolerate people who take us off-topic into the weeds?

Personally, I'd like to start a firearms company with many of you, live among you in a place that we can call our own. But none of that will ever happen unless we get serious.

NRA could underwrite our Wyoming Project without blinking an eye.

We could do it too if we got serious about building the III Brand.

Remember, folks - the III Stickers are free for download if you have labels. Go for it. Remember that we only started selling them through the 527 because not everyone wanted to drop $50 for a box of labels. I don't blame you, either. So, feel free to run a batch. I have no problem with anyone using the logo for any pro-III purpose, especially if you manage to annoy a Commie. I've sent a hi-res copy to several people who wanted to print shirts in their preferred colors.

Tribe: NoI

What category would you place the Nation of Islam?

Black? Muslim? Both? Who would they support in a beef between a black horde looking for food that finds a mosque?

The point is that it doesn't matter. What matters is that everyone buys into the Us versus Them paradigm, whether it is race, religion, economic class, or any other line of delineation.

And tensions are rising across the board, in every group.

Nation of Islam is angry at Glenn Beck, and Beck called out NoI as a mortal threat to the President. Some people are professional sh*t-stirrers, for profit and/or power. Some do it as sport or hobby. Most people blindly follow whatever Tribe they happen to fit into.

We are a nation of more than 300 million people, with many deep divides between many diverse groups. Economic stress exacerbates the feuds. And when Implosion happens, Explosions will be historic. And in case you haven't figured it out yet - Constitutionalists are among the smallest Tribes on the continent.

It is all going to burn. It will happen by design and intent, or it will happen by circumstance, but it will happen. The North American Herd will be culled.

I say let it burn. I say let the big groups who hate one another cull one another while Constitutionalists stay out of the line of fire until the Bad People reduce their numbers through violence, starvation and disease.

If we fight smart, we may not have much more than a mopping action ahead of us.

Our Wyoming concept is an example of fighting smart. So are the buckets of ammo and rice you have stocked up. Know with which Tribe you will stand when it is time. Build it now and test it so you know it will work when needed.

A Man or Woman with a Hammer can be a Problem...

A few guys walked into a jewelry store with a hammer and a sack, and left 45 seconds later with $450k worth of watches.

The point: Do not overlook the obvious when contemplating scenarios.

You've seen me write many times that my weapon of choice is a Chevrolet. I've also written about a motivated man with a claw hammer being able to go get any rifle he may want.

I can't tell you how many very good martial artists I've seen dropped by a haymaker or a jab. All the skills and tools in the world will do nothing if the Operator doesn't use them. There is no magic about winning a fight. When you break it down to its most basic elements you must close the gap and make the other person submit by breaking their body or their will. It doesn't need to be pretty or complicated.

It simply has to work.

Pretty and/or complicated can result in your arse being handed to you by the little guy or gal you never expected to hit you with a Chevy or a hammer, or a simple throat punch.

Remember Lauren?

We had her in the studio a while ago for a fashion-related shoot. At the end we had her play with a few of the toys laying around the Go Bag project.

Here is a concept I have been considering: A very shapely and attractive lass in III-appropriate clothing & gear doing a very inappropriate III-related thing (it won't be Lauren, it won't be sexual, it will be something very politically incorrect that is certain to push the limits of 1A among our current Enemies of Liberty). Our radio ads are reaching for allies. This poster would be designed to offend our enemies. That can be a very effective media strike, but we've got to be ready for blowback.

It will be something in-your-face-enough that the Political Class may lose their collective mind (hey, I'm punny!), and might even condemn us in national media.

All that, and of course, sexy/saucy without being trashy/raunchy.



Would you support such a project and purchase a $10-$13 poster to hang over your reloading bench or in your man cave?

Let me know whether or not you'd purchase, doing such things properly is not cheap, there will be about $1,500 involved before I pay the photographer - and pro photogs are not cheap. Of course, I'd also release it free digitally so you can put it on your sites or wallpaper, but I've got to know there will be financial support as well. If we have the support, I'll finance it personally and dump the revenue into the 527.

You've seen the field of R's. You've seen how Washington handled 80+ "Tea Party" Congressmen. You know that even Thomas Jefferson could not get it done without Congress, and Congressmen will only continue to do what is in their self-interest, which is to service the mob-rule reality of the country while banking as much power and cash as possible.

You do know this, and understand it, yes? Very rare is the addict who has the strength to break his own self-destructive behaviors before they kill him or her. And the addicts in power have no desire to end their fiending. And the overwhelming majority of Americans have no desire or intention of ending the theft from the productive and redistribution to their own pockets, and most do not have the intellectual capacity to even understand it is unsustainable, and even fewer understand the moral corruption involved.

This patient has got to crash before he'll stop.

And it will happen...no matter who wins what office in 2012, 2014, 2016...

It will only matter after the herd is culled.

The only questions remaining are When and How big and deep will be the crater.

The Art of the Rifle: Colonel Jeff Cooper

Jeff Cooper's Scout Rifle concept is worthy of being the one rifle every Patriot should own.

The Steyr SSG-08 pictured above is a very expensive and, if you ask me, the highest quality version of that concept. I have spoken with the gunsmiths at Steyr in the past, and they will even build your SSG-08 with a 16-inch barrel if you ask. The folding pistol-grip stock assembly, in an urban SHTF scenario, will prove priceless.

Ruger's new version is probably worthy of the Ruger name - which is a damned fine name, and available to many more Patriots because of the price. In my mis-spent past I have owned several Rugers, and shot several more. I have never held a poor-quality Ruger in my hands. They just do not make a bad firearm. And they do it in a price-range that is more than fair.



And to this end, Steyr is offering The Art of the Rifle by Jeff Cooper in the original hardback.

Well, there may be something to the whole 'Solar Storm' thing.

We lost 2 transformers within earshot yesterday, and getting online was spotty all day - and completely dead last night. Sorry, wasn't ignoring anyone, just couldn't get to mail most of the day, and posting became impossible. And, I think I'm beyond the useful age-curve for doing much from my Android.

III Gear: Folks - I am not promising to keep IIIGear.com open. It's a lot of work, diminishing returns to the 527, it ties up cash in inventory (or I piss folks off with delivery delays), asking for constant donations to keep expanding the 527 gets old, and there are other reasons.

III: Hard Truth

I never intended to write columns or run a blog for the Patriot Movement.

By nature I am a solitary animal, and I prefer the shadows to the eyes of the public.

But the shadows are denied me at this point in my life.

I have discussed this in the past, and it is a good moment for a reminder. Many of you were not readers when last we spoke of the topic.

I was poking a very powerful bear and I got handed my arse by FedGov. That was nearly a decade ago and I am long "off-paper" (probation). The residual effects are profound. I know that several levels of Government remain interested in my activities. I know they are in my computer. I know they are in my vehicle (On-Star). I know they watch my bank accounts, my phones, to whom I speak and with whom I meet. I operate on the premise that they choose to see and hear everything I do.

I have skills, life experiences, and a political disposition that makes them uneasy.

What does that mean for you, as a Patriot?

It means you cannot include me in ANY of your reindeer games. Ever. Your own Common Sense should already inform you of that reality. But for those inclined to violate OPSEC and entrust me with your secrets: Do not even think about it.

No, I would never violate a trust.

But how can you know that? More importantly, if I operate under the premise that I am living in a constant spotlight, what makes you think any information you convey to me, in any fashion, can remain secure?

Fact: You do not know me well enough to entrust your life to me having read this blog.

Fact: That is a 2-way street.

Fact: If I do not know a secret, I can never betray that secret.

Fact: I do NOT want to know your secrets, your intentions, your plans, who is in your Tribe, where you keep your prep, how many caches you have, your E&E plans, or any aspect of any reindeer game you may have in play that you would not willingly make public by posting it on a blog.

Fact: You'd better apply that standard to me and to everyone else you "meet" on the internet. There are very serious people who would like to see you in prison or dead for your political beliefs, and if you do not think that is real, you'd better wake up fast.

Fact: The safest place for ANY and ALL of your intel and secrets is between your own ears. Period.

Fact: I have a spotlight upon me and it will probably remain there until I choose to go Ghost or Implosion ruins everbody's day.

Fact: If I ever choose to go Ghost, you will not know about it until afterward.

Fact: When Implosion happens, I will face it with my wife. Period. I assume we will be cut-off from all of you. *Caveat: If I decide to actually pioneer a III community somewhere, that paradigm will shift.

Fact: Prior to Implosion, since I am stuck in the spotlight, I can be an asset for Liberty by standing right out in the open and writing, sharing my experiences and skills, (hopefully) inspiring someone once in a while, promoting the message, finding allies and helping you folks connect, exploring concepts such as we have been discussing about Wyoming, helping focus dollars where they will help, and following the propogandists Models of RevWarI to help advance the goal: Restoration as ratified, and implemented in the spirit of the DoI and BoR.

I can be your public ally.

I cannot be party to your covert, clandestine or private intent.

It simply is not prudent for either of us.

This is not a game. This is not a TV show where a buzzer sounds when you make a mistake and you leave with parting gifts.

Bad People intend to be your Masters, and they will not hesitate to imprison, starve, or murder you and your children in plain sight.

Do not ever let your guard down.

Before this is over you will lose most of the people you know and love today - and they are likely to lose you.

I am a Patriot. If and when I ever choose to go to The Green, I will go, alone. If I am ever needed to cover the back of a Patriot when the imminent happens, I will stand tall. Yes, you can trust me...but you should not trust me with any information that can lead to your being imprisoned, and I will not permit you to make that mistake. If you try to share such things, I will stop you.

Yes, most of you are building 'Tribe'. Great. Meet people and vet them with your eyes, ears, experiences and your gut. Then, run it by people you trust. Then, think about it more. Keep it local, preferably with people you have known for a long time, people who you can watch live their lives every day so you can detect changes and potential problems.

I can tell you something you may not want to know: Most people in your life, even blood, are only willing to inconvenience themselves so much for you. When you have someone who is willing to bleed with you, you have something rare. When you find someone who is willing to bleed for you, you have the finest gift available to our species.

Since I must live in the spotlight, I will do so and draw fire for you as much as I am able. Do not waste this time. Prep and train. What is coming simply cannot be avoided. It is imminent. Economic Implosion is a certainty, and in that ugliness, true horrors will be unleashed based along many lines of Tribe. Race. Religion. Ethnicity. Economic status. Political intent.

Learn to keep your mouth shut and your ears open.

You'll live longer...and, just maybe, one day you and I will be able to safely sit together and swap stories about the Big Die Off, and how we did our parts to help as many deserving Souls as possible to live through it, and for Liberty to prevail.
