One of the biggest challenges in designing a SafeRoom for a family is finding the sweet spot between what they need, what they think they need, and cost. For a home project that rarely starts at less than $60k, and screams instantly into moderate-range six figures if one begins to add NBC protection, or diplomatic-level home safety systems, it is easy to oversell a client that is worried for the safety of his family, though not proper.

As one can imagine, the DC Metro area is filled with folks who have a genuine need for such systems. There is also a large number of folks who insist on keeping up with the Joneses. A standard room with basic comms, defenses and camera feeds that is comfortable for the typical family to wait for a standard LEO response time is only the starting point. The variables are many. The capabilities of the family come to bear. Protocols have to be drafted. In some cases, private CQB courses must be tailored for some family members.

One aspect is fascinating: The number of people who anticipate a collapse of Emergency Services (LEO & Medical) is nearly nil. Most people think that a few minutes in the SafeRoom while waiting for LEO is the real extent of the threat. Those who consider a longer stay in the SafeRoom are convinced that if they must remain inside it will be because of a weather event or loss of electrical service, rather than a lack of Cavalry riding to the rescue. You might be surprised how many people refuse to abandon their faith in "The System". Most families think it is more important to have power and air conditioning in the SafeRoom (for comfort) in case of a prolonged power outage, than a second exfil route.

So, when I tell you that I am not going to waste my time or 527 resources trying to change hearts and minds, I speak from this perspective. A family that has taken the decision that a major investment in a SafeRoom is warranted refuse to explore the potential of a collapse of the State's ability to provide services.

They just can't make the mental leap, for they are conditioned to a point that is nearly absolute.

They have never known an America without State services, therefore, there can never be a USA without State services.

Think about that, Patriots, as you work in these final weeks, months or years before Implosion.

Spend your resources wisely. An hour you spend trying to convince an OWS kid this summer that he is on the wrong path is an hour you will never get back, in which you could be honing your triple-tap skills, or hardening your home, or sharing time with your kids.

Remind yourself often that at least 6 of every 10 people you meet each day are walking dead men when Implosion hits.

We want to be left alone, free and at Liberty.

And we mean it.

It is not too much to ask that we be allowed to live our lives consistent with the freedom and Liberties articulated and promised to us, as Americans, in our Constitution, DoI & BoR.

And anyone who will not leave us alone, has been warned.

They mean to be Masters.

We mean to be Free and at Liberty.

We cannot coexist, and the Enemies of Liberty have brought the coming conflict upon themselves.

The supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution gives the Secret Service the authority to ban guns inside the convention even though Florida law trumps the city's authority to regulate them elsewhere, said Michael L. Seigel, a University of Florida Research Foundation professor of law. The supremacy clause makes the Constitution and the national laws made pursuant to it the "supreme law of the land."

So, the Secret Service can ban 2A from sea to shining sea, if they determine it is necessary to protect POTUS? That is the question that comes to my mind.

France: Reviving Nationalism & American Secession

Pat Buchanan notes in his latest column that France is moving away from an identity as a European blend toward her roots as Frenchmen. This includes a growing resistance for her millions of Muslims.

Germany recently made it clear that while Muslims were welcome, Islam was not. Obviously, that is a position that will not hold. One cannot live with a foot in both of those camps for long.

The grand notion of a unified Europe with walls, borders and national identities falling and blending to one homogeneous new entity is dying, fast. Economic struggles are the hardest in a marriage, and it is no different in a marriage of nations. The Euro, the EU, are failing and they are being abandoned as concepts by powerful participants.

And the winner: National identity.

Soon the politicians of Europe will echo the citizens of their nations and identify first as Frenchmen, Germans, Greeks, and so on. Old enmities will be remembered as new insults and grievances pull off scabs.

Europe was not able to get over the hump that Americans managed.

Ask 99.9% of Americans the name of their country, and they will say America. Most who refuse to identify as American will offer "Texan". A few will proclaim "I am a Virginian."

But, that minority will never be undone without a catalyst of monumental power and effect. Americans are too connected by common language and other factors to ever again define themselves by their place of residence. Our differences are ideological, and manifest along racial, economic and political divides.

The enemy is among us, our neighbors, employers, employees, and they see the world in the same light - we are their enemies, and among them. Texas is as infested with Marxists as is Florida. No State is free of either Marxists or Patriots.

Any catalyst of sufficient magnitude to bring violence among our divisions will look far more like a man trying to strangle himself than any conflict in our known history, with clear lines of separation.

One side or the other will only win by eliminating the enemies in their respective AO's. Secession is not possible, unless those in the seceding region/state eliminate all dissenters in their midst. Survival will then depend upon a geographical footprint sufficient for trade, defense, and self-sufficiency.

No Marxist State that borders a Patriot State will ever rest until the Patriot State is vanquished from existence. You lie to yourself if you believe otherwise. It is the nature of the Marxist to conquer, not to coexist. If you make a treaty in your new Patriot land with the Marxists across the border, you ensure that one day your children will have to handle the problem.

France will never again be a nation of Frenchmen until her citizens encourage the Muslims in their midst to leave...or strangle them to death wherever they may be found within her borders.

Consider that reality as you look across your AO and consider your future, and the future of your children.

Humans: Our own worst enemy

For those folks who are looking forward to some major paradigm shift in the current state of human affairs, worry not.

Whether fact or spin, the concept that fracking may be contributing to Earthquakes is telling of our arrogance as a species.

But if the tie between fracking and Earthquakes proves to be nothing more than environmentalist spin, not to worry: Humans have proved time and again that the least responsible among us will find a way to inflict damage upon the species with the latest and greatest.

Be it nuclear weapons, microwave disruptors, a biological bug released from some lab, we Humans are certain to be responsible for our own demise.

Indeed, we do not even need a big force-of-nature to thin the herd.

We created a "thing-of-value" in a FRN from nothing but our own greed.

We can't eat it. We can't build shelter with the paper. It will not keep us warm and dry in a winter rain.

When we lose faith in that FRN, the result will be panic, plunder, starvation, disease, and Tyranny from those with the weapons.

Rest easy, folks. We'll find a way to screw it up.
