Did you fall for the head juke & buy more Gold/Silver yesterday or today?

Did you get caught in the snare over the last 48 hours, pull your FRNs from the bank and buy more gold, silver & platinum?

You do realize you just got played, yes? Don't feel bad, use it as a learning experience.

Here's the game: Serious players buy commodities by the pallet or truckload. In precious metals, they buy in kilogram lots. The consumer market buys in ounces. When the guys who own pallets of gold or silver want the value of their holdings to go up, they scare the consumer market who then rushes to gold and silver to create a spike in the market. When silver moves a few cents per ounce, it moves a few bucks per kilo, and a few thousand per pallet.

Don't believe me, here's the chart for the last 8 hours alone:

Folks, the rumors and games of the last 24-48 hours is standard market manipulation so guys with big holdings can make big moves on the spreadsheet.

Do you think these guys didn't know Central Banks would be announcing a "potential" deal to print if things go badly in Greek elections? The mere "possibility" of more printing drove the Dow up 150 points yesterday.

They do the same thing with corn, pork, stocks, and debt contracts, folks.

The lesson for you: Don't get excited.

You keep doing your thing, slow and steady. Add to your stores. Train. Harden your minds and hearts. Do not be suckered in by information peddlers who make money on every move, whether the move is up or down.

If you bought gold or silver today or in the last 24 hours, you paid an artificially inflated price.

Here is what you must buy now, in these days before the camel's back surrenders: Weapons, ammo, water, food, fuel.

Those are the essentials. Anything else is nice.

But remember this: So long as you have the means to defend yourself and kill the enemy, you have the means to pay the Iron price for what you want and need, rather than the Gold price.

For those of you who don't get the Game of Thrones reference, it means that just as you can shoot the guy flying the drones, you can shoot the guy with a basement full of gold bars.

Too harsh a concept for you?

Then I strongly suggest you work more on hardening your heart and mind.

When one plays by Mother Nature's Rules, one understands and one has the means to prevail.

Koch Brothers

The chances of Liberty prevailing are enhanced with the presence and efforts of the Koch brothers.

Politico has an article today that is passively attempting to portray the brothers and their efforts as somehow unseemly and unfair, but if you can filter the Politico's Lefty bias, there is good insight offered.

Here's the link.

Indiana & Fort Wayne

Folks, I am considering a house in Fort Wayne to use as a central rest stop/safe house during my summer Gun Show Tour & travels.

Fort Wayne appears to be pretty hard-hit economically, and prices for homes are low, so this fits my short term needs and offers potential upside longer term.

My question for you folks in Indiana: Any insight into Fort Wayne would be great. Also, any brief insights to general quality of life in Indiana - taxes, much grief from LEO, et cetera.

CDP: Liberty's sine qua non - Responsibility

Liberty comes in 2 parts, rights and RESPONSIBLITIES. Everybody loves the rights, few seem to take on the responsibilities part any more. I have a responsibility to maintain the rights of my neighbor as well as myself. While I have a right to have a junk yard I do not have the right to pollute his land and water with my junk yard. As long as my junk stays confined within my property I am maintaining my neighbor’s rights. My neighbor may not like my junk yard but until it harms him he has no right to tell me what to do with it.

Examiner.com: Enthusiasm gap

Posted a second Examiner column.

Most of my Examiner columns will deal with mainstream politics, given my task there of "Tea Party Examiner", so many of you may not be at all interested. But I have found the venue does give me opportunities to get my shots in for the folks who have not yet awakened, but may be so inclined.

Whatever you do, don't get excited...

That title is one of those fallback phrases my Uncle always had ready for his nieces & nephews when frustration or fear or other potentially debilitating emotions/circumstances would suddenly manifest.

His point was simple: The moment you surrender mental acuity, you place yourself at a disadvantage to every other Soul in the mix. The severity of the situation changed nothing. It could be as simple as frustration building because it is hot and your chore is to cut the grass on the slope. It could be that your foot is caught in a loop of trot line that is rapidly playing out over the edge of the boat. It could be the State Trooper cruiser (or cruisers) coming down the dirt lane, and you know they are coming to talk to you. (Yep, faced that one more than once).

When you look at our political woes as a country today you really can divide everyone you meet into two categories: Those who intend to force others to do X or Y (Masters), and those who will not force others to do X or Y. (There is a large chunk of folks who will go whichever way the wind is blowing, so even they can be dropped into one of the two categories. Most of these folks can usually be convinced to sit down & STFU.)

The solution is simple: If you intend to have Liberty you must remove the Masters from our lives. Because most of them are hard-wired to meddle, they may not simply all move to California and start their own little Utopian Hell. They must leave American soil. Their hearts are not American, anyway.

Why may we not permit them all to move to California? Because one day they will build sufficient economic strength and political allies with our foreign enemies to leverage demands upon their border states and beyond. One does not rustle all cancer cells into a leg and surrender the leg. One seeks to eradicate all cancer cells from the body. In our political dilemma, there is no need to sacrifice anything.

Ours is the morally correct position.

We need not negotiate with Evil.

Bad People may STFU, leave, or face trial for Treason at the hands of Citizens.

When you look at our political problem and when you begin to clear your AO, don't make things more complicated than you must. Don't nuance between black & white and allow Bad People to hide in the greys.

Our society has "accepted" that "Liberalism" is a valid political point of view, may be debated and imposed, and that those people who advocate the premise should be protected under our system.

But what is Liberalism if it is not the advocating of Mob Rule, theft of property and labor at the muzzle of a weapon, and forced behaviors (the absence of Liberty) at the muzzle of the same weapon?

Why is that political philosophy "valid" and why must it be tolerated by moral Americans?

And tell me, how are "Establishment Republicans" advocating anything different? Their positions are merely shades of grey, nuanced differences in how much one must surrender. They still believe in the principle that you will obey or they will draw the muzzle to bear on you.

This is black & white, folks.

Bad People who mean to be Masters versus Good People who mean to live at Liberty.

It is simple. Do not let them confuse you by invoking 1A. Do not let them divert you from the Hard Things that are required in the name of survival based on the argument of "Tolerance" or "Diversity".

These people think they are morally justified to force you and yours to surrender your property and labor for other people.

Their entire political philosophy is based upon theft, forced servitude, and the threat of violence.

Whatever you do, don't get excited.

Do the Hard Things.

They may sit down and STFU, they may leave your AO, or they may answer for their fundamental crimes against their fellow man in a Citizen Trial in the front yard of their own home.

I call for a mass forced emigration of Bad People from America. We have Socialist nations at our northern and southern borders. Our own Bad People should do well in such countries, surrounded with like-minded idiots. And both Canada and Mexico should welcome the increased tax base from which to steal.

My proposal: Begin in your home and force the Bad People to the curb. Next, force the Bad People on your block to leave your block. Get them all walking/driving toward the northern or southern edge of your AO. Block by block, add Bad People to the column. Your column will eventually meet up with other columns created by other Patriots, until we have massive columns of people walking/running/driving toward Mexico or Canada.

Any Bad People who insist on remaining? Article III Section III trial for Treason, on the spot.

Problem solved.

Restore the Constitution is not a request.

You argue my remedy is "unconstitutional"? When is Self Defense unconstitutional?

Sorry, my remedy is perhaps the most humane, most moral, most Constitutionally acceptable option on the table.

And for you anti-Constitutionalists who would argue that the Constitution is itself a mechanism of Evil and that supporters of the Constitution are no better than the Marxists - do not even start with me. Not on this thread.

BTW: What do you think of the logo above, with the added "Restore the Constitution"

Better with or without?

Condor & American Liberty Congress

I've decided I'll wear the Condor Tactical drop-leg rig in DC for the Liberty Congress. Since there is no telling what the weather may be on November 3 in DC (It could be snowing or it could be in the 80's), I want to make sure I am wearing a holster that will be prominent no matter what outerwear I may need for warmth. An empty belt holster buried under a coat kinda kills the moment.

I mention this only because I'll be placing a Condor order tomorrow at 3pm Eastern so if anyone wants to get in under the wire, now is the time. As far as I know they are still back-ordering the #163 Solo Sling Packs and the #607 pullover fleeces, but everything else came through on my last order.

Thank you all for the great support on III Gear. This has become a way to keep a modest bit of cashflow going into the 527 while at the same time giving you folks something useful and tangible for your support.

Also, I know I mentioned this about a week ago: Now that I have the first order of Cold Steel done (I pick up the folders tomorrow) and KA-BAR is en route to the engraver, I will be running the price of blades up by about 40% tomorrow night. Just an FYI.

The Liberty Congress shirts will also be going up about $8 tomorrow night - the extra printing on the sleeves adds up.

Massapequa Park

A few neighbors don't like how one man keeps his yard.

They went to Town Hall, got a law passed: Mow your lawn or face up to $10,000 in fines AND go to jail.

We have similar laws here in my little "Historic District" of Gaithersburg, though the jail part won't kick in until you push back against the Deputy or City LEO who finally comes to enforce the issue. Many communities have laws about how you keep your lawn, painting, et cetera. (By the way, did you know that my County Dog Catchers wear IIIA armor? Nope, not kidding.)

Either you own your property, or your neighbors/city owns your property. It is Mob Rule, defined.

I'm not going to tell this homeowner to gear-up, or go to court (though few small cities want a Federal Court case). I make it a point to have the business card (city-issued) of every Government slug who has ever come by my place, my neighbor's homes, that I meet at city functions, the Neighborhood Watch who snoop on neighbors more than anything else...

Just sayin'.

Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God.

Yes, I am saying that the mob, every single SOB in it, who voted that this man must cut his grass or face their wrath, is a Tyrant.

Here's the story.

UPDATE 10:35 - NYC: The New York City Board of Health showed support for limiting sizes of sugary drinks at a Tuesday meeting in Queens. They agreed to start the process to formalize the large-drink ban by agreeing to start a six-week public comment period.

At the meeting, some of the members of board said they should be considering other limits on high-calorie foods.

One member, Bruce Vladeck, thinks limiting the sizes for movie theater popcorn should be considered.

"The popcorn isn't a whole lot better than the soda," Vladeck said

Any different from neighbors and city politicians telling you to cut your grass? Or, just more Tyrants for whom you should have business cards...

Wanted: One Real Stuffed Wolf

Kenny continues to catch heat for his wolf post.

Forgive the media machine part of my brain: If anyone has a genuine wolf that has been stuffed and would donate it for the III, I will create a brass plaque and add any names who wish to be part of it, invite Norfolk news crews, then deliver that bad boy to PETA's headquarters.

It isn't a John Parker moment, but it sure will put a spotlight on the III for a while. They hate us anyway, let's make them froth at the mouth and do stupid things. We can spin the fallout into an argument for Liberty and Freedom if we do it properly.

Any thoughts?

III Gear: KA-BAR

KA-BAR hit my shop this morning, and will ship to the engraving shop tomorrow.

Nothing was backordered - so if you have ordered a KA-BAR the only time remaining is whatever it takes to engrave plus shipping (from me to engraver, engraver back to me, and then me to you).

Folks who ordered Cold Steel fixed-blades should have their knives by today or tomorrow at the latest. They shipped to you late last week via USPS Priority.

Sparklie GunWalker Contempt

Contempt of Congress? Really?

This somehow is the measure of "Victory" in GunWalker, whether or not the GOP has the sack to issue a Contempt charge? This is Washington DC folks, do you think a Contempt of Congress charge frightens a sitting Attorney General who serves at the hand of an ideological President? If Holder is held in Contempt he'll frame the f'n thing as a badge of honor, and display it in the foyer of whatever Lobby Shop he opens after leaving Government! It is a BIG GOLD STAR on a Liberal resume.

Politically, it is a sneer at Congress. A smirk and dismissal.

Legally, the AG can get it kicked by sending a $1.99 box (retail from Staples) filled with redacted Xerox copies of the DoJ phone directory over to the Rayburn Building.

As I have said for the 18 months or so since GunWalker was dropped (deliberately) into the laps of bloggers, this entire "Scandal" is nothing more than a controlled-crash landing of a blown political Op and Eric Holder will leave office only when Eric Holder chooses to leave office. He may even let the public think he is leaving under a cloud, if it serves the purposes of his ideological allies. But he will land within 2 months at any Lefty Lobby Shop he chooses with an eight-figure salary.

GunWalker is a classic Sparklie, a textbook example of substance and execution of political theater designed to divert attention away from real matters of import.

The only reason it remains in the press today is because it serves the purposes of both political parties. It will go away when its value is spent, and not a moment sooner. (The D's like GunWalker because every moment talking about the issue is a moment NOT talking about the economy)

Rhetorical question: How much energy and time have you wasted on GunWalker, where the Masters chose for you to focus?

NC Renegade

The Bad People have managed to wipe out 40% of the average American's net worth in just 3 years. Most of that is home values, of course, then factor in loss of income and add inflation.

But folks, don't you dare lay it all at President Obama's feet. Or W's. Not even the GOP Congress that continues to facilitate the spending that has brought us to this point. That is way too easy and lets too many people off the hook.

You need to look at every single person who voted for every single one of those people for the last 4+ generations. And you need to look at the people who refused to vote. And you need to look at the people who have refused, since ratification, to take arms and be done with this when voting proved futile.

But before you get all twisted around the axle blaming all those folks, just take a deep breath and remind yourself that it is YOU who is in the mirror today, and it is YOU who must decide if you will end the cycle, or just get through the rest of your life as best you can, and leave the mess for your posterity.

It is our turn to decide.

Here is David's take on this topic.

Drones 101

Worried about drones? I'm not.

Here's solution Number One, for those times when you just want to play.

Take this...

Strap it to one of these...

...light the fuse and play Kamikaze Drone Hunter!

And if you are serious about ending the drone threat in your AO, you find the fat nerd in the basement who is flying the thing and take his ass out, AFTER you take out his family and his house as warning to others.

This is not rocket science, folks.

Say what you mean & Mean what you say

How many of you have a Stupid-BS-O-Meter?

How many of you ignore it when dealing with people that you want to like?

You realize that is folly, I hope.

One of the characteristics I most admired about my Uncle is that while he loved me, he never hesitated to tell me when I was being stupid. Sugar-coating simply wasn't what he did. As an adult I have found I prefer to associate with such people, people who are not afraid to tell you what they think, and F* you if you can't handle the truth.

Don't get me wrong, there are proper times for polite silence.

But not in politics. Too many people define politics as some benign artifice, words used to lie or cheat to advantage, a "thing" they should strive to rise above and not participate. But politics, folks, is always a deadly serious topic. When discussions break down we bi-peds are left with two options: Walk away or pick up a weapon.

I have zero tolerance for BS in politics. Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

If you do not live up to your words, you are a hypocrite and your credibility is sh*t on all topics. And here in Washington, the kingdom of double-speak, the smarmiest of political animals like to change words so you can't immediately understand what they are trying to say. I'm sure many of you have heard the latest buzz-word "Optics" used by DC Spin Masters. It means "How is X interpreted by the average guy". If "...the optics are good..." then Joe Sixpack likes it. If the Optics are bad, Secretary Jane will not be pleased. (For the record, "Secretary" is another word you'll never hear in Washington anymore unless you are talking about a Cabinet Level politician).

We've all had experience with people who nuance their language to say one thing, yet mean another. "Sales & Marketing" means what it means to the speaker, and it means what it means to the listener, and the two are not always on the same page. Sometimes it is accidental. Usually, not so much.

Here is where "The Liberty Movement", especially our little corner of it, earns the dismissive derision of the public and politicians who pay us no mind: Too many of us say bold, powerful words (some of us LOVE coming up with new personal slogans) and yet, we do not live our statements.

You may say: "K, politicians do it all the time, why do we get held to a higher standard?"

The answer is: Firstly, we are not politicians. We are not expected to double-speak. We claim to be ideological descendants of the original III Patriots who stand tall and will go to arms for the noblest of causes. We claim to be "more moral" than most of our Countrymen. We claim to be the examples for our Countrymen to emulate on many topics.

Secondly, our Community freely talks of going to arms - the final recourse in politics.

When you say you are going to do something as serious as go to arms, and you blink - you've just surrendered every ounce of credibility you possess. If you say you are going to Thermopylae and you hang out in Athens instead, who's going to believe you when you claim the sky is blue? Why should they? You've claimed to be a high-speed, low-drag John Parker and you won't leave the couch when your own line in the sand is breached?

Please pay very careful attention to these words: I do not care if you choose to pay your taxes or if you choose to get a driver's license or you choose to bend knee to your local Sheriff and get your CCW. If you choose to play the game to keep Big Brother off your back a while longer, go for it.

But when you say things like "F* the State, I will not comply" and then you comply - hypocrite.

When you say things like "F* the Feds, I'll carry anywhere I want, whenever I want..." and then you apply for your CCW and pay the fee - hypocrite.

When you constantly put yourself upon an alter and deign to tell others how to live, to tell them to live in defiance of Evil Government mandates, when you tell people to stand straight and never bow down, and then you pay your taxes, get your Government approved CCW and make excuses for your failure to obey your own diktats and lines in the sand - hypocrisy defined.

I've gotten on MBV for these same hypocrises, there are plenty buried in his old posts at the original WRSA, especially when he is berating folks like Linoge while claiming the III will never back up. But this is not about MBV or any individual except for you. Be sure to say what you mean and mean what you say. Say your words simply and back them up. Especially do not set standards for others and then explain why you do not need to heed the same standard.

This is how we, the "Liberty Movement" will be taken seriously.

This entire post was inspired by a piece over at Kenny's place. You can read it, I'll link below. It is about 1170 of his neighbors in his AO who bent knee to the State and begged for the ability to exercise their innate Right to carry.

A second point is the recent incident in Denver, when LEO hauled drivers from their vehicles, handcuffed them and searched their cars. What would you have done if you had been there, and you had decided to carry without the blessing of the State? Would you have hit one with the grille of your truck and then come out shooting to defend your Rights? Would you have surrendered your piece (and your Rights) and gone to prison?

Live your words, whatever they may be.

Comply with the rules if that is the strategy you have adopted, but do not claim one strategy only to be proven a liar when the State calls your bluff. It makes us all look bad.

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Double-speak is for lesser men, not Patriots.

Here's the piece at Kenny's place.
