I'm watching many people getting very worked up in anticipation of what may come regarding 2A.

You see the wording in the California Senator's plan, you have to understand it has been the same for years, sitting in her drawer, just waiting for the proper moment when she thinks she can do something with it - even if that "something" involves little more than verbal political points.

I'm not saying that 2A isn't going to take a ding - it may.  NRA is not going to hold the line - that's not their role in this charade.  House R's will be given a pass by NRA to vote "sensibly".

What I am saying is this: Every single one of you has been prepping for this eventuality.  Not this "possibility", but the eventual day when they would make another move against your 2A.  Many of you have made written statements on our blogs what you will or will not tolerate. 

Why get excited now?  Why act as if they sky is unexpectedly falling?

You knew they were coming. 

They told you they were coming.  They've been telling Americans since 1934.

Yet in the 2+ years I've been writing online, I still haven't seen a coordinated, logical plan of action for this day come together.  I've seen some good plans, all pushaw'd by someone, never to congeal.  Why a plan has never been able to congeal is a topic for a long discussion, one day.  It has been discussed by some, for a while, who saw the truth.  And now you should see why the games were being played.

For those of you who have been ignoring Bill Nye, perhaps you're hearing that little voice in the back of your head right now: You are alone.  That's how it will be.

Talk of an armed march started at TL's place last week.  It's now been endorsed by Sipsey - which is funny on several levels.

You do realize, don't you, the march to turn in AR15's will be larger and faster than the march to keep them, don't you?

You think I'm being Doom & Gloom and pissing in the cheerios?  You're mistaken.  I simply never lied to myself - I knew they'd be coming, one day.  That day draws near.  It may be tomorrow, or next month, or sometime in 2014.  So what?  You're only worried if you haven't been serious about this day, or you are afraid you'll actually be called upon to live your rhetoric.

Breathe.  Hold the Line.  Stay your course.  If they mean to have a war...

Not one more inch, huh?

A question was posed by a member of my Tribe that is the premise for this post.

Are you any closer today to stepping off the porch than yesterday?

The likely outcome of the coming push is likely to be minor as relates to the mechanics of firearms: Maybe they get a Hi-Cap mag ban.  Feinstein's AWB is DOA if Congress has to vote.

Where the real damage is likely to come into the picture is by expanding the pool of "Prohibited Persons" under the "Mental Health" banner.  Maybe you'll need a "Mental Health" permission slip from the local ObamaCare office.

If any of this comes to pass, are you going to war?

What if under the ObamaCare/2A Mental Health rules, if you've ever been prescribed an Ambien, you must surrender your collection and go through a hearing (maybe ATF, maybe a court, maybe an ObamaCare Mental Health Review) to get your collection back and buy more in the fuiture?

What if they do ban hi cap mags and they do NOT grandfather yours into the mix, making possession a Felony?

Kissing the wife and going to War?  If so, with whom?

What if they get a whole new AWB?  You get to keep what you have now, but no new sales, no transfers.  Going to war?  Again, with whom?

Does it matter if Congress signs off?  What if Congress refuses, and an EO is used?  Going to war in any instance?

Gonna throw a brick?

Every single one of you who have chanted "...not one more inch..." are about to go to war or be proven as liars and cowards.

I don't think the Marxists care either way.  Their arithmetic says you'll just take it, just like at the airport.  Their arithmetic also says if anyone leaves the porch, they'll be swatted like gnats, and they will have public opinion on their side.

These questions are for you to consider.  Please don't answer stupidly here in public.  If I get too many dumb replies, I'll just turn Comments off.

Your exterminator says: "You have rats, but they stay in the basement and walls for the most part."

.Gov passes a law that you may not have full auto or a rifle with a short barrel without their permission, and hi cap mags are out.

Modern American man: "Whew"  I still get to keep my 10/22, right sir?"

HONG KONG — The state news agency in China, the official voice of the government, has called for the United States to quickly adopt stricter gun controls in the aftermath of the shooting rampage in Connecticut that left 28 people dead, including 20 schoolchildren.

Here's how Jefferson explained the entire concept: Rightful Liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.

Imagine if everyone stayed inside their own circles - we'd never have any problems. 

But in all times there will be men who mean to be Masters - and they claim the right to penetrate your circle and make you behave as they command.

And that's when we start killing one another.  Or, some people just let Bad People do anything they wish, without defending their circle.  That's their choice.

I'm sorry if I just wasted time for some of you.  Most of you get the concept of Rightful Liberty and don't need the cartoon-class graphic or first-grader slow articulation and mono-syllabic words.

Where does your SEIU guy live?

Do you remember when the SEIU bussed hundreds of protestors to the DC area home of the BofA General Counsel?

I know most of you have done at least some Opposition Research in your AO, should it ever be needed, just as you've mapped out where allies live, in case they ever need you at their backs.

Question: Does a website exist where Enemies of Liberty have been databased, including their employers, office titles, whatever foul things they do to injure the Constitution, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, et cetera?

I remember an offshore site did that related to American abortionists for a while.

Do you know if any such wide-ranging database exists now for Team Liberty?

Any lawyer who can weigh-in on whether or not such a simple database would earn a Stack?

Anyone who has a job with access to certain databases has an opportunity to do a LOT of work for Liberty.

Does anyone see any reason such a batabase should not be built and maintained publicly?

Our enemies already have us mapped and listed by order of priority, I'd bet my arse.

III Congress: Real 2A Fighting

These are 18 of the dead children murdered by Adam Lanza and hundreds of millions of others.

The 'Others' are all those politicians and special interest groups who advocate and impose infringements on 2A.  'Others' are every single voter who ever voted for any of those politicians.  'Others' include NRA and the other pro-2A groups that, time and again, are willing to trade a bit of our Liberty in a political deal.

I've thought for a long time this country could use a serious, real pro-2A organization with a real 'zero-tolerance' platform.   NFA and GCA and AWB and every other infringing gun law on the books are direct and treasonous attacks upon the Constitution and the Liberty of Americans.

What good would another pro-2A group do?  Get on the soapbox?  Hand out flyers?  Make speeches?  Accept dues and try to put pressure on politicians to trade away less Liberty next election cycle?  I would find another such pro-2A group to be just another circle-jerk, and a waste of my time.

So - what would you suggest a real no compromise 2A organization would do?

What could such an organization do to truly challenge the unconstitutional laws in the land?

Short of someone being willing to break a law, get raided and put in prison for 10 or 20 years, what sorts of real actions could be taken that would make such a pro-2A group better than NRA, GOA, SAF, JPFO?

Think about it.  Please don't submit any comments that are clearly illegal, like: "Let's buy a guy a CNC and make stuff in our basements for sale!"

Do you think the country is ready to test the Firearms Freedom Act in Wyoming, Montana or one of the other states that has passed the law, the way Colorado is testing the limits of pot?

The Politics in play...

Holly made an interesting observation about the hypocrisy and the politics in play at the moment over Sandy Hook.

We'll be pummelled on every station for 2 weeks with relentless images of weeping people, little teddy bears and flowers piled on curbs, candle vigils, and small coffins, while bombarded by calls for disarmament of Americans.

Yet the American People are not permitted to see the load after load of dead Countrymen coming home in their coffins.

If you fall for the hyperbole and righteous indignation of the media and the politicians for a single moment, you can't be helped.

**UPDATE**  I think Janos took this response personally as a rebuke.  It was not meant as such.  He's now closed his III blog.  Too bad, he was smarter than the average bear.

One of the down sides to blogging for any length of time with a smart audience is that conversations between people can continue for months (or longer) across dozens (or more) Posts & Threads.

Janos fell victim to that earlier regarding my position on who is and who is not a legitimate Target in a WROL or SHTF paradigm.  I have written 2-3 posts in the last week or so touching on the topic of legitimate Targets.  However, because we have been discussing this topic for years on this blog, and even longer at WRSA, there has been a LOT of ground already covered, positions articulated and properly nuanced so that everyone who has been part of the conversation from the beginning know when I am writing in my style of shorthand.  Anyone reading only my recent posts on this topic could easily walk away aghast at my ruthless targeting matrix.

Since I am writing very little philosophically these days as I focus on the building & doing for Liberty, I did indeed write about my targeting matrix with broad brush strokes, in shorthand with a LOT of nuance between the lines that a reader would only properly understand if he'd been along for the entire ride.  My targeting matrix conversation actually began with my first book, before I started writing on Kerodin.com, then on the Kerodin site, here on this blog prolifically, and at places like WRSA and TL's place.

I'm not going to take the time to drill to bedrock on this topic again, it is too complex to properly articulate in a few posts.  But I can share the summary of my position.  If anyone is interested in understanding how I reached my conclusions, simply use the Search feature on the right toolbar.

Upon my conception I inherited Rightful Liberty.

No man or woman is entitled to ANY of my Rightful Liberty, unless I offer it for some reason.

Any man or woman who deliberately infringes upon my Rightful Liberty immediately gets green-lighted on my Targeting Matrix.  If I know a person wants to infringe, and may one day succeed, that person earns a place in my Matrix.  If I know a person wants to infringe but simply will not ever be able to actually do damage, that person stays off my RADAR.

I believe that preemptive action is warranted once I satisfy my Soul that an attack is imminent, or may seriously become imminent - and because I am smaller than most men.  I'm just not going to wait for him to bloody my nose or pull his handgun. 

I do NOT believe in Proportional Response.

Rightful Liberty matters to me, and I do not tolerate infringements.

I do believe in mens rea.  I also impose a very strict personal code upon myself and my Threat Matrix.  That said - I fight to prevail, by any means necessary.  And for full disclosure, I don't like getting hit.

I also believe in Constitutional and legal remedies, when they are available to me.

I don't really care how anyone else protects their Rightful Liberty, so long as it is being done in accord with the premise of Rightful Liberty as well.  I don't really care if anyone else permits intrusions, or allows himself to become a slave.  Not my business if you give away your Liberty, or trade it away for an FSA chit, or you permit someone to take it from you.

But when it comes to my Rightful Liberty, I am on solid moral footing by invoking self defense - even if that self-defense includes me hitting the guy in the back with a Chevy.

To Janos specifically: You explain in your comment that many of your neighbors have been known to you nearly your entire life, and that they would take a bullet for your kids.

But if they vote Blue or Establishment Red, they are voting your children into slavery, they are infringing my Rightful Liberty, which is not tolerated in most cases.  A "Good Person" does not pull a lever for a Slave Master.  There is no such thing as a "Good Person" who votes Blue or Establishment Red.  There is no such thing as a "Good Person" who works at City Hall if that person's job facilitates, in any manner, the infringement of my Rightful Liberty.

I hope this helps you understand that I have done much, much more work on this topic over the years than simply the recent posts which do not define how & why I add certain people to the Matrix, or what threat level they earn, or the severity of my self defense, and I have it refined to a place in which I am content.

Blame? Many bloody hands in Connecticut

Politicians like to play the blame game.  Mayor Bloomberg thinks Citizens should not have firearms, so he blames every firearm-related crime on the availability of firearms.

OK.

Ready for the truth?  Some of you may not like it.

Many millions of people have the blood of those children on their hands tonight.  You know some of those people, I guarantee it.  Some of you may even dismiss my reasoning so you can continue to live in denial that some of your "friends" or "family" or co-workers are responsible for the deaths of defenseless children.  Some of you will dismiss my reasoning because in your deepest heart you know that your tolerance of these "friends" and "family" and co-workers means you have some blood on your hands, too.

You are not alone.  I have a bit of the blood of those children on my hands as well, because I have tolerated infringements upon my Liberty.  .Gov has a set of rules relating to firearms for me, and I play by the rules.  I stay inside the lines.  I comply with their demands. 

Every single Gun Control advocate in America, living and dead, has blood of innocent children from Connecticut on their hands.  Every single man who votes Establishment R, every single Soccer Mom who votes Blue, are responsible for those dead children.  Are you ready for the harshest, yet most truthful statement you'll hear about those dead children?

Most of their parents are responsible for the deaths of their babies.

Most of those parents probably voted to disarm the teachers entrusted to protect their children.

It is their own fault.

Those children are dead because Americans have allowed themselves to be disarmed in a world that has mentally broken people in it.  Adam Lanza had a broken brain.  He pulled the trigger.  But millions of Americans helped make it easy for him.  Americans have permitted - indeed demanded in many cases - that law-abiding Citizens be disarmed in a world that has violent criminals and rapists and child murderers in it.

How many of those parents voted Blue do you think?  Or Establishment R?  How many do you think might be NRA Fudds who are fine with an AWB, as long as they can keep their pretty side-by-side?  Their babies are dead right now because instead of allowing the adults who are responsible for the safety of those children, (in loco parentis) most of those parents probably voted for politicians who voted for laws that disarmed the teachers in that school.  Let them own that fact.  Their children are dead because of laws many of them probably supported.  Words have meaning.  Votes have consequences.

That neighbor friend of yours who votes Blue, you know the one you are polite with and still do cookouts together, has blood on his hands.  And you choose to associate with such people?

In my first book I made a plea to rational Patriots to drop the facade and stop treating the Marxists in your life as if they are just people with different political views, and those differences are legitimate.  Simple fact, folks: Establishment Rs and Blue Dog Ds and Liberals are all flavors of Marxists, nothing more.

That Blue voter makes sure your children go into a free-fire zone every day you send them to school.  Those Blue voters make sure you are defenseless in most places, at most times, if a Bad Man with a gun decides to open fire.  Those Blue politicians have bloody hands.  The Establishment Rs are right there with them. 

When will you stop being polite to people who are actively working to enslave you and make it easier to murder your children?  When will you tell that Obama-supporting Milfy Blue lass at your kid's soccer game to eat shit and die when she smiles politely at you and says hello?  When will you stop trying to coexist with people who think it is fair to put a muzzle against your head if you resist paying your fair share for ObamaCare?

When will you stop tolerating the Enemy, and letting him get blood on your hands?

Can 'o worms: Best Rifle Load

At the risk of what may come, I'd ask your preference for .308 combat loads.

If you were going into combat carrying a .308 rifle and had your selection of any premium brand commercially available ammo, what would you select.  Price is NOT a factor.

Consider that you'll never be sure what you engage, when or where - so one minute you may need penetration, next shot may be on soft flesh with no barriers at close range.  One hour you may be walking a suburban street with up to 300 yards line of sight, the next you find yourself engaging in a stand of woods in that same community at much shorter ranges.

Remember, the objective is to drop the target, right now.

My tendency (in all calibers) had always been for the heaviest hollow point with the biggest powder charge - until I had the honor of chatting with the legend Lee Jurras in email a few times.

Yes, I know placement is the most critical factor.

Barrel is 18.5 inches.

Graphic Artist

Do we have a real-life graphic artist among us who would be willing to do me a small favor?

I need a digitized swatch of original Vietnam Tigerstripe pattern in 300dpi.

Here's the kicker: When the fabric company uses it, the sample must be large enough that when it repeats the pattern lines up sufficiently.  Example: When you tile a small graphic on your computer monitor background, you can see the misalingments clearly.  You can experiment and see what I am talking about.  Use the picture above as your screen "Background" and set it to "Tile" & "Repeat". 

See how choppy it looks?  We need to eliminate that choppy look.

So I need a digitized swatch large enough that when it does, in fact repeat (it must at some point) it will repeat with as little mis-alignment as possible.

Physical dimensions: The roll of fabric is 60 inches wide, so your swatch should be 62" to be safe.  I think if the first repeat is at 36 inches we'd be good, 48" would be even better.  Consider such a size laying on the table of a seamstress, and she has to cut out the back panel of a coat for a big man - she can cut it without being in the "repeat" zone, so the final coat looks good, not "choppy".

I hope I explained that adequately.  I could really use some help with this from someone with skills and, of course, a good graphics software set-up (because we are going to add a few little details that will make it trade-markable).

This will not be "It"...

The 2A blogoshphere is white hot right now.  I mentioned yesterday that I watched the President's speech, and the moment he started choking up, I knew he had decided to use Connecticut to make a move on 2A.

Breathe.

I have no crystal ball.  But I do not think this will be the Mao Moment (the label I use for that moment when the Executive drops all pretense and moves for the throat).

This ain't that moment.

President Obama is a guy who wants to always do bigger and better.  You have to understand his gargantuan Ego to understand where he will go, why and when.  He'd never be happy with merely re-instating the AWB.  He hasn't put his personal mark on it, AWB is 'been there, done that', so it is of no value to his Ego.  President Obama wants to be the guy in history books known for killing 2A entirely.

He can't get there from Connecticut.

I do expect much bellicose posturing, but I really don't think President Obama's plan for killing 2A is mature enough yet, so I do not think he'll try to pull that trigger - sorry for the pun.  He may give his base a few scraps, like banning hi-caps and some other easy ones.  But I simply do not think he is ready - yet - to declare all production stop at S&W or Ruger, or that all ARs are now banned, or that gun shops may no longer sell to the public.  That's his goal, to be sure, but this isn't his path, I think.

Yes, this will be news for a few cycles.  Yes, the Marxists will try to get something, but I think the Hard Left will be sorely disappointed by the President, because I do not think he's willing or ready to reach that far - yet.  Look for "Mental Health" to be the big one that slips in the matrix out of Connecticut.  I think that is where he will look for a "Victory" on this one.  Bi-polar?  No 2A for you.  Ever take a sleeping pill?  No 2A for you.

He'll reach and expand the scope of "Prohibited Persons" more than he'll worry about the mechanics of the firearms.

I could be wrong.  That almost happened once - scared the hell out of me.  ;)

Liberty - Alexander had it...because he took it.

This post should not be taken as a personal rebuke of the recent conversations had on below posts or regarding any of the participants.

I take the position that I have a Natural Right to Jefferson's definition of Rightful Liberty.

I take the position that any deliberate infringement of that Rightful Liberty is an infringement I have no duty or obligation to avoid or tolerate.  It is not my responsibility to make sure you behave yourself.

I take the position that any direct action to infringe my Rightful Liberty morally entitles me, under Natural Law, to be rid of that infringement by any means necessary.  I do not believe Natural Law holds me to any standard of Proportionate Response.

I take the position that any Human Being who aids and abets the infringement of my Rightful Liberty is equally responsible for that infringement as the person who is directly infringing.  If a Trooper points a pistol at my head in an attempt to violate my Rightful Liberty, and doing so as a result of the orders given by a Commanding Officer, both are responsible and both legitimate targets of my self defense, even if I must travel a thousand miles to find your Commanding Officer and put a knife in his neck while he sleeps in his bed next to his wife.

I take the position that the politician who voted for the law that improperly brought that Commanding Officer into my life, and the Trooper with the pistol at my head, is equally guilty of attempting to infringe my Rightful Liberty.

The Voter who voted for that politician is equally guilty.  The clerk in the politicians office who helps him accomplish his daily tasks of infringing Rightful Liberty, is equally guilty.  The auto mechanic working at the LEO carpool that kept the Trooper's vehicle operational so he could come to my house and stick the muzzle of his weapon in my face is equally guilty.

Do you understand?

It is MY Rightful Liberty.  It is MY duty to defend it.  If you try to take it, if you play any role in trying to take it, you are guilty of trying to deprive my Rightful Liberty given to me by Natural Law.

Jim Klein is correct, mens rea is a principle to be heeded by any man with a conscience.  The Trooper holding the pistol to my head, his Commanding Officer, and the Politician are absolutely guilty of attempting to unjustly infringe my Rightful Liberty.  In their Souls there is no innocence.  The clerk who delivers the warrant from office A to office B is guily, she is a cog in the machinery that allows it to happen, but she is guilty to a lesser degree.

But the voter...

The voter empowers it all.  A voter in San Francisco helped to bring that Trooper to my sphere, and to point that muzzle at my head, risked my future and the future of my wife, because that voter is, at best, stupid.  At worst, an ideological Marxist to some degree, people who believe they have a Right to a portion of my Rightful Liberty.

I challenge all of you who claim the title Patriot: Figure this out in your Soul now.  Do not make Lincoln's mistake and leave too many Enemies on the field.

Alexander never had to look to his rear.

Let us be done with this once and for all.

Alexander is the only hope for Liberty.
