Citadel in the news

Folks, most media have an agenda.  We all know it.

Drudge linked the Citadel (based on the CNS story) before they knew Kerodin was involved.  They wrote the story and linked it because the Citadel concept is striking a deep nerve across America with our Countrymen.  People are angry, concerned, and becoming motivated to take action.

The disease of scandal that so many Enemies of Liberty tried to infect the Citadel with has failed miserably.  Sorry, Mikey.  Sorry Leftists.  Your smear campaign was a massive FAIL.  The Citadel and related endeavors are growing every single day.

That said, I want to point every one of the readers of this blog to a piece that came out today at TPM written by Eric Lach.

I can tell you his piece is the most objective, honest and factual piece I have yet read.

I have to tell you that Mr. Lach gives me hope that there are honest people remaining in Media, along with Drudge and a few others.

Since coming online I have made a few enemies.  No, the word enemies is not too harsh a descriptor. 

I have also met many more people who have transcended thresholds of "Brothers" or "Family" to a place I reserve for people who have earned a place only short of the place my wife holds in my heart.  I call these people Tribe.  Mullenax.  Kenny.  Miss Violet.  Leslie.  Zoomie.  Lewis and Israel.  Bill.  Craig.  China.  Peter.  Jim.  Reg.  Rich.  David.  Mike M. Will.  Daniel.  Vernon.  Mike C.  Dan C.  LT. 

There are, literally, dozens of you.  Please don't be offended if I did not mention your name specifically.  If I tried to make a comprehensive list and I missed someone I would be forever mortified.  I think most of you know very clearly where you stand with me.  If you ever truly need me, say the word and I will do whatever it takes to be there and I will help you prevail, or die trying.

There is a core group within the various III projects that so many of us have undertaken who have become part of my Tribe.  ("My Tribe" does not mean Tribe in which I am Leader - I lead no one.  I may go first, but in my world every single member of the Tribe is equal.)

BonnieGadsden is another such man.

When future history books are written, you will read about several of the Patriots already mentioned on this page.

Patriot hurting...

There are times when Life seems to throw everything it's got at you, and doesn't give a damn if you survive or not.  There are times when it seems even Mother Nature wants a piece of you.  In such times phrases like "Keep your chin up" or "Be strong" don't do much.

What does help is the quiet knowledge that people are around who stand ready to be there if you need them.

Curious: At weekend rallies...

...did anyone who attended an armed weekend rally see a single case of LEO stopping people, demanding ID or carry permits (if required in your AO)?

How about LEO walking the crowds with cameras obviously documenting faces?  Any sign of riot gear?

This speaks to standing orders and the mindset of LEO and their bosses.

Open Letter to NRA Members

Are you a member of the NRA? 

Do you believe in reasonable restrictions on 2A matters?  Have you dutifully sent your membership dues each year, called or written your political representatives when NRA issued a call to action? 

Consider this quote from Charles Schumer, United States Senator: ...the senator responded: “Well they [NRA - Ed] sure are a fringe group, but whether enough of my colleagues are ready to admit that, I’m not sure.”  He continued: “They are a very extreme group. They don’t even represent average gun holders.”

A sitting United States Senator has now labeled you as fringe and extreme.

How does that feel?  Does your mind and integrity rail at being lumped in with those other fringe and extreme Americans who choose to own and shoot ARs, and Americans who take the position that the Second Amendment should be interpreted literally?

Do you understand that the attacks from the Left in America will not ever stop at "Assault Rifles" or high cap mags?  The NRA is the largest 2A group in America.  They have been devoted to protecting your right to deer rifles and shotguns, unfailingly.  And when they give ground to the anti 2A elements in society on issues like ARs, it is never enough.

Folks like me think NRA gives way too much away.  We draw a harder line.  But look at what NRA efforts have gotten you. 

Look at New York today.  A Ruger .22 single action revolver is now an "Assault Weapon".

Your deer rifle and goose guns are on the list.  Schumer simply hasn't gotten to you yet.

People like me think it is time for NRA and all of its members to take a hard position and defend it.

This is the moment in your life to stand up.  Even if you don't want an AR, even if you think they are unnecessary, even if you do not own a magazine with a capacity of more than 5 rounds, you need to stand with your fellow shooters, your Countrymen, for 2A is not only about deer rifles, it isn't even about firearms exclusively.  It is about your fundamental Right to possess arms.

Stand and be counted. 

When Schumer and his ilk decide to come for your duck gun, the men they send will not be carrying single-shots.

Attention Haters: You lost.

If one can be judged by the people who line up against him...

SPLC doesn't like me.  Stormfront doesn't like me.  Vanderboegh.  HuffPo.  Sovereigns.  The list is long and diverse.  But from racists to Communists (who claim to be Patriots) to Marxist media to Liberal simpletons, I am despised by most of the despicable elements in our society.

I'm cool with that.

Here's an interesting perspective: I am entreprenurial and I have owned or partnered in several small businesses.  Some did better than others.  Some still generate revenue and help pay the bills, such as the publishing company.  Some never took off, and some are options for my future.  Interesting, is it not, that the people out there claiming "scam" or other unfounded garbage have never had a business dealing with me?  There are, at most, five disappointed customers and one former employee complaints online, from my entire business lifespan.  That's not a bad business record, in my consideration.

But as we have all seen, facts do not matter to one's enemies.

Not even the Feds ever accused me of a "scam".  Regarding the Citadel project, we all know that LEO is looking on.  They know where every dollar regarding the projects is located (various business accounts).  They know that not a dime has been mis-spent and is accountable.  They know proper business paperwork and filings have been done.  They know every detail and nuance about the business side of the project.  And they have *not* even telephoned or knocked on the door asking questions - because they know that the project is exactly as has been discussed, publicly, and presented, publicly, for more than 6 months.

And if LEO ever does ask for clarification of this or that, the answers are easily pulled from records.

So, if I stand opposed to and despised by racists, Marxists and filth like MBV - good.

When I look to my right and my left I find people standing with me who I am proud have chosen to stand with me based on our interactions.  There are hundreds in this community alone. 

Here's another interesting tidbit: We all knew from the beginning that because the Citadel concept was born on this blog that one day my name would be used to malign the project and everyone involved, because the ideals embodied in the Citadel offend Enemies of Liberty.  They do not like the idea of patriotic Americans who dare exercise their rights and choose to live among one another and respect the Founding Ideals of the republic.  And not one single Patriot has abandoned the project as a result of the attacks of small minds.  Not one.  Not one single person has asked for a refund.  Not one.  (and if they did ask, a refund check would be cut, of course.) And more people join the project every day.

So, if I am judged by my enemies I am equally judged by the people who choose to be allies - and I am proud to stand with a group of patriotic Americans of various races, ethnicities, religions and world views.

The Citadel project is now alive, not only as a venture, but as an ideal in the hearts and minds of Liberty-loving Americans from coast to coast.  The project has weathered first contact with ideological enemies and emerged even stronger than before, now tempered to an even stronger hardness by the fires of enemies.

Spring arrives in just about 2 months, and site development will proceed on schedule.

Enemies of Liberty: You lost.  You can't destroy the Citadel project, because it is not about Kerodin.  Thank you for helping make the project stronger.  Thank you for helping more Patriots find the project.

Housekeeping

IIIGear: Thanks to everyone who rec'd gear recently and gave us a heads-up.  More orders are shipping today and Monday.  We are working through the snafus thrown our way over the holidays, especially by KA-BAR and Cold Steel.  As some of you know, KA-BAR discontinued the 1265 without letting dealers know, and they shipped 1245s (8" black tanto) as a replacement.  They've all been engraved by the great folks at CADD and are on our shelves.  I learned yesterday that one or two of you who ordered the 1265 had not been contacted and given the new options - so if you have ordered a 1265 and haven't squared away with us yet, let me know.  Cold Steel did the same thing with their Japanese Tantos.  They discontinued them (with orders on the books) - but surprisingly they are back in stock on most models - so if you placed a Cold Steel tanto order that hasn't been delivered yet, give me a heads up.  A few orders remain in the back-order pile, they'll ship as soon as we have everything in stock.

IIIGear leads us to III Congress: There was a spike of activity for the Congress when we evolved the idea.  What makes a "Congress" is active participation by members and delegates.  A very small number of people remain actively engaged - so if you are serious about the Congress please head over there, pick up a task, submit a working document for consideration, or otherwise make yourself known.  Several of us intend to meet in April.  But if you think efforts are better spent elsewhere, please head over there and say so.  None of us want to spin our wheels on unproductive pursuits.  Weigh in at IIICongress, here.

Do you have what it takes to die well...

 

Thomas A. Baker (June 25, 1916 – July 7, 1944) was a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He served with Alpha Company, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry division in the Philippines. He received a Medal of Honor posthumously for his actions in combat on the island of Saipan.

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty at Saipan, Mariana Islands, June 19 to July 7 1944. When his entire company was held up by fire from automatic weapons and small-arms fire from strongly fortified enemy positions that commanded the view of the company, Sgt. (then Pvt.) Baker voluntarily took a bazooka and dashed alone to within 100 yards of the enemy. Through heavy rifle and machinegun fire that was directed at him by the enemy, he knocked out the strong point, enabling his company to assault the ridge. Some days later while his company advanced across the open field flanked with obstructions and places of concealment for the enemy, Sgt. Baker again voluntarily took up a position in the rear to protect the company against surprise attack and came upon 2 heavily fortified enemy pockets manned by 2 officers and 10 enlisted men which had been bypassed. Without regard for such superior numbers, he unhesitatingly attacked and killed all of them. Five hundred yards farther, he discovered 6 men of the enemy who had concealed themselves behind our lines and destroyed all of them. On 7 July 1944, the perimeter of which Sgt. Baker was a part was attacked from 3 sides by from 3,000 to 5,000 Japanese. During the early stages of this attack, Sgt. Baker was seriously wounded but he insisted on remaining in the line and fired at the enemy at ranges sometimes as close as 5 yards until his ammunition ran out. Without ammunition and with his own weapon battered to uselessness from hand-to-hand combat, he was carried about 50 yards to the rear by a comrade, who was then himself wounded. At this point Sgt. Baker refused to be moved any farther stating that he preferred to be left to die rather than risk the lives of any more of his friends. A short time later, at his request, he was placed in a sitting position against a small tree . Another comrade, withdrawing, offered assistance. Sgt. Baker refused, insisting that he be left alone and be given a soldier's pistol with its remaining 8 rounds of ammunition. When last seen alive, Sgt. Baker was propped against a tree, pistol in hand, calmly facing the foe. Later Sgt. Baker's body was found in the same position, gun empty, with 8 Japanese lying dead before him. His deeds were in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Army.

Citadel: Continuity of Liberty

Our Governments, from Federal down to local levels, have Continuity of Governance protocols in place for nearly any circumstance.  From nuclear war to land invasion by Canada to solar flares that drop the grid, to economic collapse and probably even First Contact with ET, FedGov has plans in place to ensure it survives.  From tunnels out of DC to bunkers to underground mountain cities, Government has built the infrastructure to survive an event and come out the other side with men, food, shelter, water and weapons.

Why shouldn't Citizens do the same?

Most people who read this blog have already decided that they should do the same, and they have taken steps to ensure they survive and even prevail in the face of catastrophic events.

What about Liberty?  Liberty is the bedrock premise of life for Americans under Natural Law.  Should not Americans take steps as individuals to prepare for life-altering events, be they natural or man-made, to secure their Liberties?  Is not that exactly why our Founders and Framers established our current form of Government, to help us protect those cherished essentials of America - Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness?

Of course.  And such preparations need not be limited to owning a shotgun and having a few racks of food in the basement.  History has shown time and again that threats to Natural Law can come from even your neighbors, and such threats can last for years of strife and danger.

Enemies foreign and domestic.  There are enemies among us working tirelessly to murder your Liberty.

It is sad to many of us that we must even consider the concept of moving behind walls again for safety in America.  And in the last week we learned that we are not alone - a very significant portion of our Countrymen find the idea appealing.

It is what it is.

Consider the Citadel our effort to ensure the Continuity of Liberty.

You do NOT have to wait for the Bad People to start swinging before you counter.  You do NOT have to wait until they swell your eye shut.  The very intention of disrespecting your natural rights is the initiation of force and under those same rules of natural law, your permission to quell that threat, by any means necessary.  (Not "any means you wish".  Any means necessary.)

Do Americans still have what it takes to remain at Liberty?
