Folks, we dropped off a load of 25+ packages Saturday, and will drop another 40+ tomorrow.  We'll drop the remaining 40+ Tuesday.

We've decided to drop everything in the mail we've got in the shop - so if you have multiple items and one is backordered, we'll be shipping everything that isn't backordered, then catch up when we get the rest in the shop.

As you know, both KA-BAR and Cold Steel discontinued several of our more popular blade selections over the holidays without telling us.

So, when you get a chance go to Condoroutdoor.com, ColdSteel.com, and KABAR.com, look at their selections, and see if there is anything you think we should add to III Gear.  You know I am a fan of the tanto point for combat blades, but Cold Steel is breaking my heart and dropping their San Mai III tantos and going for cheaper alternatives.

We also have an account at US Palm for body armor.  The only issue there is that I have to order 3 units at a time, and they aren't cheap.  So if you want body armor, let me know and we'll see if we can get an order together.  Here's their website: USPalm.com

I have an account at Maxpedition, but I'm not really ready to start stocking their gear just yet.

Patches: I've had to order more III shoulder patches and III minuteman patches.  I also ordered a batch of Molon Labe 1" x 4" patches for the back of your tactical caps, in the original Greek.  I'll let you know when they come in.

Shirts:  Hoodies are being printed.  (They must use unicorn ink).  The OD III shirts are promised to be here by Feb 2.  The Liberty Congress shirts are mostly all shipped now.

Any ideas for shirts?  I tend to go for understated - such as molon labe on the breast, or the III Arms logo on the breast with molon labe on the sleeve.  I also tend to go for OD - you never know when you need to blend into a shadow.  But if you want different colors, let me know.  As I mentioned elsewhere, send me designs if you think they'd make good shirts.  We'll find a way to get them printed up.

Leather: I have a design for a sheath that is outstanding for combat, my prototype works great.  The folks at CADD are in a position to help, as is one of our III Patriots in Colorado, so you'll start to see those at some point.

Canvas Gear: I mentioned before I like canvas for my packs.  We are going to try our hand at American made canvas and see what you think.  They'll be ready for review in a month or two.

Blades: Mos of you know I have a lot of experience with blades.  I have a serious fighting design I want someone to bring into reality.  I have had a few emails on the topic, so hopefully we'll have a prototype soon.  A good blade can attack from any attitude - whether a front strike, a block, a backfist, whatever. 

The reason I'm posting so much about III Gear is because so much interest in our ideals has been raised in recent months.  Every single person who flies a III patch of blade or shirt helps Brand us as good guys in the minds of the population.  So if you can think of anything we should add with III Brand on it, let me know - from shot glasses to lapel pins. We've already got guns covered.  ;)

Advice & meanderings

**UPDATE**  Does anyone like to shoot 210 grain .308 as a combat load - if so what powder load do you like?

About a few topics I know what I am talking about, and I know that I know it.

On some topics I have a working knowledge.

On some I have enough knowledge to get myself in trouble.

On most, I'm clueless.  ;)

So I ask people who know - such as this:

In my past I have reloaded with my father.  Mostly .45 ACP.  I found the little progressive reloading system to be sufficient for what we were doing - which was building ammo so we could raise hell and burn the barrels out of a few pistols and .223 rifles, work on our double-taps and triple-taps at combat ranges.

But now I have a question about ammunition you'd take into combat.  Do you guys generally trust the average progressive set up from Lyman, RCBS, LEE, Dillon to turn out ammo you would trust with your life?  My biggest concern was always with automatic powder measures.  A little more or less in the average 230 grain .45 FMJ that you are planning to shoot into a steel plate is one thing - but do you trust the standard automatic powder measures with ammo when people may be shooting back at you?  Would you bypass that step in a progressive and weigh each charge on a digital scale for your sidearm?

How about your duty .223 or AK ammo?  Are you comfortable running straight from the machine?

Now, you guys who load .308 to hit an eyeball at 250 yards - do you trust the production progressive loaders, or do you build your rounds one at a time?

Do you prefer a simple single-stage press?

You guys who start warming up at 600 yards - that'll never be me.  ;)  You folks impress the hell out of me, but that isn't my skillset.

Weigh in if you feel like it.  It is just another Saturday...before the serious ugliness begins.

Water Cooler

I have sensed a shift in Gunners.

I think it is a dangerous shift, a standing down.

You folks deal with more "real" people than do I on the average day, so weigh in and let me know if you are getting the same sense within your work/social circles.  (I deal with Washingtonians - and "real people" they ain't)

The moment President Obama listed his 23 edicts, and DiFi's AWB was pronounced DoA by Reid, McConnel and the House, I have "sensed" a significant standing down of the community.  Not the folks like us who are hardcore, who pay attention to 2A every day - but a lot of the "NRA" types who got off the couch, I think they are already heading back to the couch.

For a while there was such tension that at those Saturday rallies had anyone gotten stupid I truly believe it would have been as historically significant as the Boston Massacre, and the news would have spread from Capitol to Capitol at WiFi speeds and we'd have been hip-deep in RevWarIII in moments.

That tension feels significantly lessened.

Still Standing - and Winning

One of the great Patriots involved in the Citadel project sent me a link to a story in the Washington Times.  The piece discussed the Citadel, Beck's Independence USA and Peter Thiel's Seasteading project.  A major media outlet covered us favorably (again) without any stigma.

Shall I interpret?  That means, as we have known internally all along, that despite the best efforts of many sad, pathetic, diseased Souls who tried to kill the project, they are left holding another heaping, steaming pile of FAIL.

The lies, the hit pieces, the attempts to sabotage via comments on story threads.  F. A. I. L.

The Citadel is sentient.  It lives.  It is bigger than any single participant, and it is far too well-received in the hearts of real Patriots to go gently into that good night.  Every single day we add new Patriots who want a place to live among us in safety and patriotism, and in reverence of our Founding Ideals.

If any of you had any doubts about whether or not the Citadel would survive the assassination attempts of little minds - now you know.

We are still standing.  We are bigger and stronger now than a week ago.  We gain new supporters with every single story - whether favorable, objective, or a hit piece.

Am I gloating?  Yep.  A bit.  I deserve it.  So does every single supporter of this project who came under attack from MBV and his Useful Idiots.  And I am also proud, damned proud, that our idea about joining together in a single location to build a large Tribe is a concept shared, at least in many ways, by so many other Americans.  Glenn Beck has plans for a community much larger and more elaborate, I daresay even more sophisticated, than ours.  That is of monumental importance for America.  The Seasteading project is brilliant in its concept.

We are not alone, Patriots.

The values we cherish are still out there, and people like us, and Beck, and others, are finding ways to get us all together and to propagate those ideals.

To the haters - you lose.  Gads it must suck to be you!  Even when you try to destroy, you futz it up!

And to every single Patriot who supports our concept and our ideals - let's keep rolling.  We have the Enemies of Liberty on the run.

The joy of open water

I was born and raised on Chesapeake Bay.  I was sucking crab claws at 2 months old, from what I am told.  From catfish to spot to Bluefish to striped Bass and drum, to trot lines and pots for crabs, to oysters and cherry clams, I am a pure blood Chesapeake guy.  My family has always been into older wooden powerboats, usually Owens cabin cruisers.  I had a beautiful 1929 Vineyard motoryacht that was my pride for a while.  Waterfowl is a religion on the bay among the old timers - a title I grow closer to owning every day it seems.  That brings us to canoes and decoys. 

Have you ever seen what a gifted waterman can do with a block of wood, a few wood tools, transforming wood into something so beautiful and lifelike that it fools ducks and geese into thinking it is a brother?  Have you ever seen the work of a serious craftsman who builds wooden boats on the bay?  From crab boats to canoes, the Chesapeake is home to some of the finest boat makers in the world.  These aren't guys who make wooden things that don't sink - these are old-world craftsmen who build art that serves a waterman and his family for generations.

I'll be leaving my beloved Chesapeake when I reside full-time in the Citadel.

I received an email and a link from a man who will become a new neighbor in Idaho.  He makes canoe/kayak hybrids.  In Idaho there is lake Coeur d'Alene and all the sports it offers.  There are smaller lakes and marshes and streams.  And there is this guy who makes canoes that the old craftsmen I know here on the Chesapeake would nod and consider one of their own.

I know what it is like to be a mile from shore in a semi-enclosed canoe or sea kayak with nothing but a paddle and a healthy case of "Oh F me!" when a squall comes up and you are suddenly taking 4 foot salty swells in the kisser.  I know what sort of boat you need to survive.

I invite you to visit the website of Wahnooyak canoes if you want a serious watercraft that will last for your children, and beyond.

And - they prefer gold as payment.  That should tell you even more.

I will own one of his works of art.  I will enjoy the beauty of Idaho from within one of these fine boats.  Mrs. Kerodin will have one also.

Just look at the work they do, even if you don't intend to buy.  Surely you can simply appreciate the work of an artisan.

Patriots Entrepreneurs

From time to time I have thrown out opportunities for Patriots who want to make a few bucks.

Now I am going to do it again.

If you are a III Patriot and looking for a bit of side revenue that might even turn into a business for you, consider these opportunities below.

The III needs:

~ A first class real estate closer who is comfortable seeking out the whales and getting them closed.

~ A Patriot who can make leather sheaths for knives.  I have a simple design and I need someone who knows how to work leather to make a small batch.  I'll cover materials to get you started, you set your profit margin and leave enough room so IIIGear can still offer them at competitive prices.  We are not looking to be the cheapest guy in town - I want to build sheaths that are ready for the battlespace.

~ A Patriot who can make knives and axes to my specs.  I am not looking to build anything fancy - my designs can be plasma cut from plate steel, then ground down.  Handles can be paracord.  Basically if you can work a grinder and a belt sander, finish the steel and put on an edge, this may be for you.

~ I mentioned elsewhere that IIIGear is going to launch a line of canvas gear packs, so we are good there.

~ IIIGear is going to offer a select line of branded jewelry, we've got people lined up for that.

~ I have an email into the guy who supposedly has the Mosin prototype magazines.  If that pans out, I will be looking for someone to help there as well.  You'll need to have tack-welding skills and metal finishing skills.

~ Do you have a product (even if it is just in the hobby stage) that can benefit III Patriots when in the battlespace, or help with morale and cohesion?  Can you design killer artwork that we can print off on a run of shirts?  Do you know how to weave paracord bracelets?  Anything that a Patriot may find useful, if you are looking to turn it into a sideline business or a full-time gig, talk to me and we'll see how we can work together to get it done. 

~ You can bet your arse I will be talking to Bill and offering any help I can if he chooses to move forward with his seed/prep business, because the man is honest to a degree that is indisputable and he will be fair with whatever he offers.  I'm not looking to partner, but if I can help, even if it means showing up to help him fill bags or buckets, I'll be there.

I do not know when the world is going to implode.  I do know in my heart and gut that it will happen.

I intend to keep swinging all the way into the darkness, and to help as many of you as I am able to be ready when the darkness comes.  Even if you just have an idea that you think might help improve your life, if I can help, I will.  I don't have money to invest (everything I've got is in Citadel-related assets), but I can help with advice, I can help get the word out, and I can promise that this community of Bloggers will help as well.  Remember when I asked bloggers to speak up recently?  Those who spoke up are selfless people who will help you succeed simply because you are a fellow Patriot.

One final note: I simply do not have time to run another business.  For instance, if the Mosin magazines pan out I will be looking for someone in this community to work with who can assemble and ship to customers, handle the money, et cetera.  When I think of how many of you are Mosin shooters and the good that could be done by offering the magazines, I can't just let it sit.  But I'll need help.

I have featured General Mattis on my sidebar for a year or so now.  "Be polite.  Be courteous.  But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.".

AWB SitRep & Housekeeping

DiFi's AWB is one of the biggest Sparklies in Washington right now.  It is DoA in every facet, unless Boehner decides to simply give them a gift, say hi caps or whatever.  (I think if he tries his caucus will hogtie him)  I've never been able to fathom how the Rs constantly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory time and again...unless I consider that they are all on the same team.  As we predicted the real threat immediately is the list of Prohibited Persons and how rapidly it will grow, now that Doctors are being given power over 2A. 

Were the Marxists ever serious about confiscation?  I think so, in some of their sillier moments.  Reliable sources relayed that they were approached (LEO) and their temperature taken about kicking in doors.  But reality smacked them in the face and made them back up, at least for now.  We'll see what tomorrow holds.  But do not think they are done.

I still predict the End Game will be joined prior to November 2016.  If the Marxists miss that window of opportunity, they'll never have a better chance.  I think they know it.  Watch for continued gutting of the economy, debasing the value of currency and infringements of 4A to levels that will confound the rational mind.

If you walk away thinking the Left was just beaten and you lower your guard, you really don't comprehend the battlespace.  Do not go back to Singing with the Stars.  The next 48 months will determine just how bloody the American genocide will be, and who ends up in the ditches.

I believe the beginning of the Ruckus is now in our rearview.

IIIGear and related Liberty Movement activities: As you know we got bombed over the holiday season with IIIGear orders.  KA-BAR and Cold Steel discontinued several of their blades that we had orders on the books for customers.  Our OD shirts and hoodies got delayed, but the Liberty Congress shirts made it through.  Several items were backordered.  But most of those issues are finally working out and we are shipping daily.  For some reason a UPS Ground order took 5 days from my place in DC to Pennsylvania, and we've hit similar delays with USPS. 

Here's the upside - we are moving IIIGear, the 527 and several of our other III endeavors to Idaho.  Everything will be under one roof as soon as we can make it happen.  H and I have decided to expand a few of the IIIGear lines, and to invest in more inventory.  As you all know I have gone back and forth with this for nearly a year.  Sometimes it felt like it simply wasn't worth it.  But as I look back at how many people are sporting III Branded gear and how many of us are proudly identifying with the Brand, I think the benefit to morale and cohesion is worth the work.

We are exploring a small line of canvas gear.  Personally, I prefer canvas gear bags and packs to nylon.  So we are working to have a small line made here in America.  We'll keep you in the loop as it evolves.  I mentioned the silver earlier - I like that idea. 

We've been working behind the scenes and putting together the Media Kit for recent III projects.  This will kick into a more public phase soon, and we'll be inviting you to weigh-in to help us select a Model for our cover.  That'll be fun.

There is a LOT going on in the III world right now.  Some if obvious in the media and on our sites.  Much is behind the scenes as our projects advance.  We will continue working to build morale and cohesion right up until the lights go out, then we'll meet you on the Green.

III: 1 ounce silver coins

We have been looking for a way to do some fundraising for the Citadel and other III projects.

Jamie had what I think is a fabulous idea, and she has done a lot of legwork in finding out how viable it would be to design and have a 1 ounce silver bullion round (.999 of course) minted.

Forget the 30 second artwork I added to the silver blanks above - if we do it we'll do something awesome.

My question: Is a III silver bullion round something you would buy to support III efforts?

My thinking is that the first one purchased would have some profit built into it - it is a fundraising vehicle, afterall.  But after you've bought the first we would try to be as close to market prices as possible for all future purchases.  Part of that market price would have to include the cost of striking our own designs - we could never mint enough to get the same price breaks as the US Mint, for instance.

Of course if the bottom falls out of the economy you'd be holding a silver bullion coin and the value would skyrocket.

Is this an idea worth pursuing?  We actually have the resources to do an initial run if there is serious interest.

A real Seed Entrepreneur

Folks, Bill Nye is one of the most stalwart and sincere, honest Patriots I have met in my time online. 

He is considering a venture to help Patriots reach their prep goals regarding seed and other essentials.  As you probably know there are seed pimps everywhere, raping good people who simply haven't done their research.  Personally, I think it is time for an honest Patriot to get into the business and crush the pimps.

Bill has posted and asked for input to see if the effort, risk and time he'd have to invest is worth it.  Undertaking such a venture is not easy, it is filled with risks.  So give him an honest assessment and let him know if you'd support his work.

He is a man I would trust and a man I would send money for an order.

The Nation's Pulse

The Citadel has gotten a tremendous amount of publicity in the last ten days. 

Forget the silly attempts to do damage by MBV and his taint-sucklers, their attempts have failed in an epic manner.  Every single day the projects add new people to the roster and each of the related III projects gains more customers.  Forget the Leftist Media that have piled on, they too have failed.  Every single negative story sends more orders and reservations into the projects.

Put it all in perspective for a moment.  There is a much bigger story unfolding.

Nearly 2 dozen Americans have asked for guidance, asking how they can get a Citadel community going in their AO.  The Citadel has hundreds of reservations on the books.  Families and couples and single Americans from coast to coast, border to border, from college aged kids to retired seniors, have considered the idea of moving into a community with like-minded Countrymen and surrounded by protective walls, and they want a residence. 

They want safety and they want people near them who see the world as do they.

The response has been humbling.

Now consider what we all witnessed this weekend at 2A rallies across the country.  Armed men and women got off their couches and felt the need to show up.  And LEO was, from every report submitted here, very polite and respectful.  (That tends to happen when outnumbered by serious people who have lost their sense of humor about 2A  ;)

Now consider that every gun shop, gun show and firearm and ammo manufacturer in America is essentially sold out of almost everything that is designed for a fight.  You can still find many handguns, lever guns, deer rifles.  But firearms and ammo designed for defense, good luck finding much.  Americans everywhere have gone on a hunt to arm themselves.  What scared them into action?

In just days nearly the entire national inventory of fighting arms and ammo to feed them, and accessories such as magazines, were gone.

You know that many, many people who were not engaged a month ago are now fully engaged and temperatures are running hot.

Now consider this final thought: What if every single person who has purchased firearms and/or ammunition in the past 30 days decided to pull their cash out of the bank and go to the store and turn it into food.

The banking system would implode in 3 days.  The cascading failures that would follow would implode every single facet of the American economy.  In days.

Still think the folks who want to live in the Citadel are wrong?
