Just f'n hit 'em - finish them later, if needed...

The commonly accepted number for ft/lbs in a punch delivered by the "average" person of about 150 pounds is 230.  Math guys - no picking of nits.  We know there are many variables.  We'll use this number for discussion purposes.

Let's get this out of the way first: "K - BS!!  The lowly .22 punches a clean hole in a skull, and it only has about 100 ft/.lbs on the low end of the scale!"

Correct - and the primary difference is that the .22 is delivering all of that energy in a focused manner at a point of impact only .22" diameter.  Your punch delivers energy over a much wider area, even if you are good and know how to punch properly (which, by the way, is essentially with 2 knuckles)

To get an idea of how much force can be delivered by a simple punch, stand behind a heavy bag and let a big guy hit the bag.  You will step to the rear.  You will take some abuse.

What has any of this got to do with anything?

Kenny posted about whether one should aim for the head or chest of an armored man coming at you.

Kenny includes all of the right reasons for going center-mass, even if you know you won't penetrate his vest or plate.  The energy of the rounds will transfer and will fuck up his entire plan.  And the guys behind him will have to adjust.

That gives you time.  Time is what you will need most.

Hit his plate or IIIA with a 9mm or a double tap, and he's got issues.  If you answer the door with a .223 or .308, bigger problems.  And many of you plan to answer the door with the 12 gauge for many reasons we all know - and now considered in the light of this conversation, you can see that a load of .00 to the vest will be as close to a Chevy as you're likely to keep in the house.

In a fist fight you don't always go for the knock-out punch first.  Sometimes it is best to simply step aside, let him trip and then stomp the back of his head.

Why should a firefight be any different in tactics?

The tactics aren't any different.

Here's the link to Kenny's piece.

Facts are facts...

PROGRESSIVES ALWAYS END UP MASS MURDERING THEIR FELLOW CITIZENS.
When I say the names Stalin, Hitler, Mao, today's Progressive apologists say something like, "Oh, they were monsters, OUR progressives-collectivists-socialists-communists aren't doing that!"

Well, Stalin didn't do it either. Until he could. Then he did.
Lenin didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Hitler didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Pol Pot didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Castro didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Che Guevera didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Mao didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Ho Chi Min didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.
Kim Jong Il didn't do it. Until he could. Then he did.

Woodrow Wilson didn't do it, because the American people threw him out of office BEFORE he could. (Trust me. It's the only reason he didn't.) He DID put people in prison for speaking out against the war or his government. Because he could.

Franklin Roosevelt didn't do it. But he did put thousands of Americans into concentration camps. Because he could.

More here from the Gunslinger.

Kenny on the Dorner Paradigm

To Law Enforcement everywhere: You're going to run out of you before we run out of us. Not a threat, just a simple observation.

It simply can't be said any more succinctly than that, folks.

Keep watching LA with the eye and interest of a Militiaman.

IIIGear Update

Massive shipment went out today.  Included a lot of stickers/patches that had been waiting for backorder.

I'm waiting on another shipment of patches (which include a new one, to be unveiled once they arrive).

For some reason, several of our last shipments have been taking a lot of time inside USPS from the time I drop them off until they arrive at your door.  One order took 5 days from my door outside of DC to Pennsylvania.  Just an FYI.

You'll never believe this: Hoodies are in and I am good with the artwork!!  New OD III Tees also arrived, and a few of you still have Liberty Congress shirts coming.  We'll get all of that stuff out first of the week.

One of our III Patriots runs a tee shop so we gave him our next order - he'll be printing up the III Arms/Molon Labe tees we talked about a few days ago.  I have a button for his shop I'll be posting on the right sidebar in the next few days.  Sorry it seems so long for me to answer email and get simple tasks done these days folks, we are swamped and working to get Miller all set for his first III Arms gun show.

I rec'd an email from a new potential IIIGear customer today who asked why we charge $20 for a patch - so I explained.  I will explain here as well, since our audience is much, much larger today.  All of our III Gear is a revenue source for the 527, our Advocacy group that we use to buy our radio and other media buys, expand the III Brand, grow our audience, et cetera.  Our purpose is to let the entire community of Patriots across America know the III exists, for what we stand, and our role in the coming storm.  So, we aren't trying to scalp you on patch prices, we're financing operations.  (btw - still not one person receives a salary for the 527.  It remains a volunteer project.)

You'll notice on several of the items available at IIIGear that our prices are competitive with retail prices, especially when you add the fact that everything leaving our shop is now branded with the III.  Our KA-BARs and Cold Steel, for instance, are essentially provided at cost.  That's a service we decided to undertake for Branding and morale, rather than operating funds.  We decided that if we could put a good product in your gear kit or Go Bag that sports the III Brand, we'll grow tighter as a group.

So - that's the "why" about IIIGear pricing.

As we are prepping for Miller's show the 527 has added a few new items to the menu.  Once they arrive in the shop we'll put them up.  Most will be limited runs, we like to keep the gear fresh in design.

Backorders: We have some KA-BAR and Cold Steel on backorder.  KA-BAR said they'll be shipping early next week.  The Cold Steel Magnums are still "unknown" for delivery dates.  Condor is catching up, rec'd a shipment this week.

Remember, if we've connected in the last week or so, give USPS a chance to get your gear delivered.

Self Defense is always the "Moral High Ground"

The former chief has good reason to be concerned about Dorner's location: In the package Dorner purportedly sent to CNN was a ceremonial coin with Bratton's name on it and three bullet holes — a discovery Bratton called "chilling."

Police continue to guard at least 40 people mentioned in the anger-filled manifesto.

Miller speculated that the burning of Dorner's pickup showed potential for calculated "pre-staging" and "planning." If this is premeditated staging, he said, "It makes you wonder: What is his plan for the end game?"

There is a city filled with puckered LEO assholes right now.  Hello LAPD!

The worm turns, as my uncle used to say.

Forget the politics and ideology.  Focus on the facts.  One man with skills reached his personal limit and stepped off the porch.  He established his Friend or Foe list, and went to work.  His "manifesto" is as much a PsyOp device as an explanation.  How many LAPD LEO do you think are seriously concerned about hearing the radio crack and learn that their house has burned to the ground, or worse?  How many of the uniforms assigned to protect the 40 or so named targets in the "manifesto" are really happy for that detail?  Consider trying to count the dollars the city is paying right now, all because of the actions of one man.

Self defense is not limited to the punch currently headed at your nose.  It extends to the punch that is intent, one day, at coming at your nose.  If you know someone intends to hit you, hit him firstest, with the mostest, preferably from ambush.  Forget all that silliness of "Honorable Duels".  There is a time and place for ritualized combat, make no mistake - but those times are rare in the real world.  When someone intends to take you out, hit that S.O.B. with a Chevy.  In the back.  At night.  In overdrive and accelerating.  Then reverse over the meatbag.  Twice.

Each of us draws the line as we see fit.  When do we take a threat, or actions intended to injure, seriously enough that we gear-up and go hunting?  In your life, that's your call.

Example: Tino, MBV, Firestone, King and several others have taken direct, persistent, dishonest actions against me on several occasions, utilizing various methods, all with the intent of doing me personal injury.  When I assessed each one of them, learned the details of each one in real life (age, health, background, financial situation, etc), I assessed my physical security and that of my family.  None of them have ever been stupid enough to show up and threaten me physically, and I have determined that none of them ever will, except, perhaps, from rifle range.  I've made a time and place known to the world if anyone would like to try - King's Mountain, April 19th.  So far, no takers, just more bluster.  (If any of them ever publish a "manifesto" I'll pay attention, and wear clean socks for a few days.  ;)

Then I had to assess the ability each brought to the fight (make no mistake, anyone who is attempting to take bread from your table is attacking you with intent to do physical injury - it is a fight) to injure my ability to feed my family.  In each case they are incapable.  While they were all able to run off at the keyboard, none have found a single person who claimed (much less verified) they were "cheated/scammed" in any of my business dealings.  They were unable to get a single LEO or prosecutor or US Attorney to validate their lies.  All they did was drive more interested Patriots to the projects.  Since my income is unrelated to III Projects - the threat assessment is that they can do no damage to putting food on the table.

My lines for leaving the porch to do a piece of work have not been crossed.  Who knows, maybe they'll try harder and one day succeed.  ;)

Society gives people essentially three avenues of redress when one is physically threatened, either up close and personal with direct violence, or with economic harm, the inability to buy bread for the family: Ignore it (not really in my DNA), go to court (I hate court, but have found it can be a suitable tool when handing out a good beating isn't a viable option), or physical defense.  Sadly "Society" doesn't condone physical response (anymore) for attempts to injure a reputation or to make one unemployable - this is where you may, one day, have to put your personal interests ahead of what opinion "Society" may have of you, and step off the porch.

Dorner stepped off the porch because people took his reputation and they injured his ability to earn a paycheck.  He may also be genuinely morally indignant about the abuses of LAPD LEO - and I think most people reading this blog have no problem at all believing Dorner's accusations against LAPD LEO.

Self defense.

Remember why horse thieves were hanged in the old West - because leaving a man without a horse was often a death sentence of its own.  Hanging horse thieves - self defense.

Burning down the mansion of Thomas Hutchinson in 1765 was self defense.

This fight in which we are all now engaged, this fight for Liberty, is pure self defense.

When fighting for your life, there are no rules.  The only options are Life or Not Life.  Do what you have to do.  Let me repeat myself: There are no rules in self defense.  You are innately permitted, indeed obligated, to defend your life, your family, and that extends to the ability to defend and feed them.  You need not ask for anyone's permission or approval.  Your Creator gave you those Rights when He put you here.  Do not offend Him by failing to defend the life He gave to you.

Self Defense is always the "Moral High Ground".

Side note: One thing I have not seen is a single person stepping off the porch, in Los Angeles or elsewhere, just because Dorner chose to do so.  Not one gang-banger or Patriot has invoked the Enemy of my Enemy philosophy to capitalize on circumstances on the ground.  If you step off the porch, don't expect anyone to follow, until it is in their personal self-interest to follow.

As you contemplate the words and deeds of war...

...remember that in the real world, in real fights, even if you win easily, it won't be free.

In most real fights with two relatively equal fighters, both will die.  The "Loser" will be killed by the "Winner", and most of the time, the "Winner" will die without real medical treatment.

Even in a fight with a superior fighter, who has superior training and experience, only a fool underestimates the damage the 130# "office nerd" can do when he is fighting for his life, or his ideals.

Sorry folks, that's just the way it is in the real world.

So as you contemplate what evil may come, as you talk of engaging that evil, do not lie to yourself.

I do not care how long you have trained in what martial art.  I do not care how slicked & tricked your AR may be and I do not care if you can hit the X ring at 1,000 yards.  When everyone understands that second place means death, you'd better think long and hard about who, what, where and when you choose to engage.

No man is easy to kill if he knows it is a deathfight.  And every fight is a deathfight, or you shouldn't be there.

Evil this way comes.

Hesitate, and die.  Under-estimate, and die.  Assume, and die.

Hell, even if you "win", you may be dead and never know you "won".

What's the take-away?

There.  Are.  No.  Rules.

More goodness from Mosby

A negligent discharge is ground for dismissal from the Ranger Regiment. I firmly believe a negligent discharge in the field should be a fucking hanging offense.

As my uncle used to say when it was time to pay attention, this is serious business.

Playtime is over, boys and girls.

Men who mean to be your Masters are sending forth their swarms and killing your Countrymen, right now.

Which day do they have you calendared?

Liberty or Death - there is no middle ground

CA has a link to an article that contends the current anti-2A push by the Marxists has backfired, and the writer of the column is dead-on in many of his observations.  The fact that the President felt the political need to do a photo op with a shotgun is proof of the political hit he has taken.  Think of Saturday morning cartoons and the exploding cigar.

CA also prudently cautions everyone not to lower your guard - the Bad People will never, ever quit.  They may delay, or change tactics, but they will never, ever give up.  And he is dead-on accurate, too.

I made the point in the post below and it bears repeating: A group of Americans purchased every firearm and round of ammo and magazine designed for fighting that could be found in the entire flippin' country - in about 30 days.

And every manufacturer out there is backordered until who-the-hell-knows-when.  Even peripheral "gun stuff" is out of stock.  Can you find any .308 brass to reload?  Can you find a major reloading company that has reloaders in stock?  Good luck finding powder.  When you do find stuff, how is the price compared to what it was 90 days ago?

The average 2A American is also aware why .Gov is placing so many orders for ammunition.  Either they have a plan and intend to use that ammo, or they are simply starving the retail market as a political anti-2A tactic.  Either way, Americans don't like where that puts them in the food chain.

Here is a simple reality, folks: Life in America is now forever changed from what you knew.

There is only one way this ends.

Liberty or Death.

Americans have been here before.

Are you going to measure up to the original III when the time comes?

The Citadel "Movement"

The Tea Party began as a "Movement".  Same with Occupy.

A considerable number of media requests coming in to my box refer to the "Citadel Movement".

Why?

Because the concept of the Citadel has tapped into a major artery in America.

We are mainlining.  Beck's concept in Texas has tapped part of the same sentiment.  Real Americans are fed up.  We've been tolerant for generations, and we are tired of being tolerant of stupid and lazy people.

Stupid and lazy people are a fact of life.  They are everywhere, and they breed too often.  But we don't lock people up simply because they are stupid or lazy.  We don't put them in ditches just for being stupid or lazy.  We are not Sparta where a newborn who looks like he may be stupid or lazy ends up at the bottom of a cliff.

Nor are we obligated to live under the ideas or edicts of stupid or lazy people.  We are not obligated to live more danger-filled lives just because stupid and lazy people claim we should all follow one of their stupid rules.

We are at a place in time and space where the stupid and lazy people have gained a lot of ground at the levers of power in America and they are using power beyond their ken.  They do not realize that we are nearly done tolerating their stupidity.  They are too stupid to see it.  It's always the unknown unknowns that'll get ya.

There is a reason that the entire national inventory of firearms and ammunition was purchased in little more than a month.  The stupid people don't have what it takes to understand how many dollars, how much personal time, how much emotional energy, is required for any group of Americans to clear the shelves of any commodity in America in 30 days.  People got off their couches and bought everything they could find for a fight.  They are still buying.

Why?

Because there is a Movement that has been born in America.

The Citadel concept and the mind-blowing response and support from Americans is nothing more than a symptom of that Movement, evidence that the Movement exists, as if more evidence is needed.

I read a few comment threads every now and again as I watch the organized Left and the losers in Life try to kill the Citadel.  They focus on "Kerodin".  You see the stupidity in action?  Stupid people don't even understand when they are fighting an idea versus a person.

The Citadel is an idea.  It can't be killed.  It is already alive in too many hearts across real America.

It is part of a Movement.  That movement has a name: Liberty.

Tino Feld: April 19th or you share the same title as Mark D. Firestone

**UPDATE**

Hey Tino.  You like to lie and hide.  Cold there in Minnesota, eh?  It's been a while since I was in Minneapolis - about 3 or 4 months.  I'll be back, soon.  We'll do lunch - just you and me.  Let me know a good time.  It won't take us long.  How's the colon?  It's fascinating how angry, pathetic people like you, MBV, the Key West idiots, all rot from the inside.

You've said some pretty vile things online.  You crossed several lines that men just don't cross with other men.  What, you didn't think you could be found?  You thought you could lie and defame free?

You've been found.  Now it's my turn.  Sure, you'll keep lying and doing your thing, because that's the kind of genetic waste you are - and now I'll begin doing my thing.  I don't work on garbage like you online.  I live in the real world.  You must have forgotten - so do you.

We'll talk more, soon.  I promise.

Tino Feld - you are a coward.

Aw - little Tino wet his panties.

Rape Safety

Neary a decade ago I put together a hardcore curriculum of self defense techniques designed for women - the name of the program was Rape Safety (at RapeSafety.com - imagine that.)  It is a serious, no-nonsense, brutal collection of techniques.  Seventeen in total.  It was designed to teach in a short time frame.  The course is not cheap - afterall, I live in a very affluent area.

Given that so many people are digging into my past and making the name relevant again, I figured - what the heck, I'll start offering the program again.

I won't be charging III families, but I simply don't have time to travel to teach.  But at III events I'll make sure if anyone wants to begin studying a few techniques, we'll find some time to work in a few.

But make no mistake - 6 months of Krav is what you need.

I'll get the RapeSafety website back up and running sooner or later, it's not like I have time to take on many local students.  But we may as well re-build the Brand.  It may come in useful one day, again.

Lapua 200 Grain Soft Point

The Lapua Mega is for hunting big game. This bullet is at its best in the field and typically more than duplicates on impact, causing an immediate shock effect in your quarry. The Mega is a soft point bullet with a protective copper jacket – traditional hunting performance. This ensures that the bullet’s lead alloy core remains intact when shooting through brush or branch. The mechanical bonding locks the lead alloy in place, allowing the bullet to achieve up to 97% weight retention. Mega product family covers the most popular calibres in Scandinavia including 9 products.

Anyone have any suggestions about this bullet from a .308 rifle hitting a man-sized target at 200 yards or fewer?  Any idea what powder/charge you'd personally load, knowing that most shots would be 200 yards or fewer, but once in a while you'd like to tickle a medula or hit the Five-Hole at 300 or so?

Would anyone not feel comfortable going into Harm's Way with such a load?

Just curious...

20 round AR Mags

Folks - the guy who claimed to have a Mosin mag ready for production never responded - so I have no idea where he is on that project.

However - HK and I have a meeting with a shop tomorrow that may produce 20 rd AR mags for us.

The start-up cost ain't cheap.

How many of you guys are still buying 20 rounders when you can find them for about $20 each?

Most places I check are claiming they won't begin to get re-stocked until summer.  I have no idea how accurate that may be.

So the question is: Are 20 round AR mags at about $20 on your "Buy" list these days?
