This post is for the countless f'n idiots Holly and I run into during our travels at motels across the country.
Our dogs are Akitas. They are Japanese hunting dogs. Like Pit Bulls, they hunt bear and boar and deer - they are hearty of disposition and generally consider ALL 4-legged creatures to be practice prey for real hunting - said bear, boar and deer. That means, my slow-witted motel-sharing countrymen, that just because your cute little Boxer, German Shorthair, Beagle or other dog is of sweet disposition and you think it is fine to let them out off-leash - when your stupid little fuckin' dogs run up to my dogs to play and make nice-nice - who are ALWAYS on a leash when out - my dogs do NOT consider how happy-happy your little fur-buddy may be before they kill it.
Please outgrow your stupid before my dogs end up killing one of yours. I'd rather they kill YOU than your dog, but that isn't how it works. I can only pick up and hold my 110 pound boy for so long while he tries to get free of my loving embrace to eat your little ankle-biter while you run across the courtyard apologizing. If I didn't like dogs so much, I'd let mine kill yours. But that's not me.
So, at least now it is public record - I have warned the world. My dogs will eat yours if they are off leash and come to "play".
Sweet Gods we need to cull the herd of stupid people in America.
