Finishing the Revolution

I don't spend much time writing about individuals of the regime.  There is no point.  They are replaceable.  They are the Wizard, not the man behind the curtain. 

However, I have two quick points that are relevant, and important in coming to a proper analysis of what/when/why things will happen and unfold.

Item One: There is no doubt that our current President sees himself as the Second Coming of Lincoln.  Our current President has a narcissism that is epic. 

Item Two: In his narcissism, this man truly believes he is the heir to the throne of the world.  He believes himself capable of finishing what Lincoln began, but then taking it to the next, final level.  This man believes that Divinity has put him in this time and place that so surreally looks like 1860 for a reason.  It is important that you understand, this man truly believes He is the One, that he has a Divine and moral Mandate to be rid of you and your bitter-clinging ideals.

He is not a pragmatist.  He is not a cunning realist or mere politician.

He is a True Believer - the Truest Believer in the Church of Obama that exists.

He thinks this is all ordained, and that it is his moral duty to finish the transformation of America.

He will never stop.

He will never negotiate.

He will never Reason.

He will always seek the EndGame, no matter what happens between now and then.

Understand that what is happening now is dual-pronged.

First: The Enemies of Liberty think the timing is good.

Second: This man truly believes He is the One.

Analysis: 'Gestapo' tactics meet senior citizens at Yellowstone

Make posters and place conspicuously in the hands of every .Gov employee you meet.

So, you have all read about the "Gestapo" story at Yellowstone, and similar stories from elsewhere.  You have read that Rangers in DC were ordered to "...make it difficult..." on citizens, especially businesses.  You have all seen the reports that the Administration wants the default debate and tensions to ratchet higher.

First order of business: Does anyone still wonder if .Gov employees with badges and guns would actually "...just follow orders..." and violate their oaths?  Have we heard of even one single incident where a LEO enforced his Oath and either arrested a fellow officer, shot a fellow officer who was in the commission of the crime of violating that oath, or even resigned because of the orders being given?

Nope.  All we have done is to confirm what many of us have known from the beginning - they will turn the muzzles of their weapons on defenseless Americans.  Period.  Full stop.  If you are still wearing a badge and gun, you have chosen your side.  We know it, no matter what words are coming out of your mouth.  The only LEO I do not categorically include: Some Sheriff offices.

Second order of business: It is going to happen.  Somewhere.  Sometime.  On a bus being forced out of Yellowstone, maybe.  At an unexpected TSA checkpoint in a Florida bus station, maybe.  At a Veteran's Memorial in DC with armed guards (.Gov badges), where LEO uses the threat of arrest, violence and the muzzle of their weapons to enforce that WWII Vets may not set their eyes upon a memorial in the country they helped to defend.

Someone is going to get fed-up and pull a snubby .38 and simply put an end to a bully's life.

That is what the Enemies of Liberty want.  That is the bait they are setting, right now.  That is the jaw they are presenting, begging someone, somewhere, to "Hit me, just hit me!".

Someone will do it, somewhere, sometime soon.  There are hundreds-of-millions of people in this country - wanna play the odds that it won't happen?  It may not even be a real player for Team Freedom - but some OpFor guy wearing a Tea Party hat and a GOP t-shirt who gets caught on film, but manages to escape arrest (or is executed on-site)...

And that will be the true beginning of the North American Liberty Games, Episode III.

That will be our modern Boston Massacre.

That is the excuse the Enemies of Liberty want.

Give it to them?  Choose not to take the bait?  Meh.  Some things are beyond our control.

But when it happens, you'd better ratchet-up.  They'll be coming for you.  Whether you are on the A list or D list, some .Gov bureaucrat already has your name on a list for proper solutioning.  You've already been assigned a number, like freight.  Your path is already in a computer, somewhere - it may include a warehouse facility (read prison/camp) or simply a disposal lot number (read burial site location).

I have been through that system, folks.  I know how it works.  Any of you who have ever "cycled-out" of .mil have seen parts of it in play as well.

That is what bureaucrats do.  They execute the machinery of .Gov.

Bet on it.

Silly Congresssional Twit using words for effect - she thinks she's slick - "Martial Law"

Congressman Sheila Jackson Lee used the phrase "Martial Law" from the floor of the House.  She was referring to a legislative procedural maneuver, but make no mistake - the choice of words was designed to elicit a response for the more common understanding of "Martial Law".

These people think they are the smartest people in any room.

These people are not afraid of economic collapse - they want economic collapse - because they have convinced themselves they can control the crash and be in power at the end of the game.  The hubris is staggering.  The miscalculation of historic proportion.

But, ok - we've had stupid people do stupid things before, and I believe in Darwin.  It will work itself out.

As to the Congressman's use of the words "Martial Law" as bait?

Careful, dummy.  I know how Roget's and Webster's define "Martial Law".  I know how dictators and Police States define "Martial Law".

But the average American who has a deeply embedded streak of Fuck You in our DNA define it thus:  Martial Law - Occurs when stupid politicians, bureaucrats and Useful Idiots push one step too far and Americans get all Martial on their arses.

But I am not going to work too hard to thwart Ms. Lee and her ilk.  This is the moment to heed Napoleon: When your enemy is making a mistake, STFU.

That "List" you are on - it really is serious...

Pat Buchanan writes this week about the visceral disgust of those on either side of our current ideological divide regarding Rightful Liberty and the moral authority to take the fruits of one's labors for the benefit of another, by force if necessary.

It has been recently noted that the last time America was this divided and angry, 700,000 or so of our Countrymen died, at the hands of other Americans.  The population in 1860 was about 31 million people.  The 700,000 dead represent about 2.25% of the population.  Today, 2.25% would be roughly seven million dead.

America was a far more "civilized" people in 1860 than today, and far less-dependent upon technology to feed the country and keep disease and famine at bay.  It was far more "religious".  Many Patriots believe that a return to the core tenets of Christianity will be required for any attempts at Restoration to be effective.

I will remind you now of a prophecy introduced to me by Bill Nye just after a few of us sat with Glenn Beck: The White Horse Prophecy.

How do we connect the dots of these observations?  Are the dots even to be connected?

I have no idea.

But as I let the "big pictures" currently in play across America float across my mind, I can see how a few big chunks may fit together.  And like a tugboat moving an iceberg, it will only take a small number of True Believers (on either side of the fight) to move the world.

Here are a few points upon which I think most people reading this blog can agree: Our current tension level is higher than at the time the Civil War started, and to paraphrase CA: There's going to be a fight.  Most of us can agree that a return to the core morality embodied in Christianity (please note the distinction I made there) is an immediate existential imperative.  Most can agree that ridding the world of something genuinely "Evil" is killing, not murder, and carries no moral burden.

If you believe in individual, Rightful Liberty, then you are an impediment to the goals of Evil Men currently seeking to solidify their grip upon the control levers of society.  Do not take that lightly - these people think you are a threat to reaching their goals.  They intend to remove those threats.  You are already marked.  Your home has already been range carded, as has your place of work. your child's school, your spouses office, and the places you go to buy groceries and medicine.  Remember, they GPS'd your front door during the last census.  Do you understand?  You are the Indian, this time.  You are the Jew.  You are the Southerner in 1861.  You are marked for death.  Right now.

I hope you understand just how serious your enemies are about your removal.  They have gone so far as to put our Founding Fathers on the same list they use for "War Criminals" and "Terrorists" - and you know our "National Policy" regarding War Criminals and Terrorists, yes?

This is real.  They are coming.  They are coming for YOU.

Own it.

No playing Groundhog Hockey in the house!

You folks have been sufficiently introduced to our dogs to know they like to kill things, and they consider our entire neighborhood, and particularly our street, their personal property.  They have a doggie-door so they can come in and out of the house as they wish.  (Security note to any potential burglars: Go ahead, give it a shot - try coming through that doggie-door.  I double-dawg-dare you.  ;)

They can often be heard from our back deck chatting over the fence to some poor guy walking down the street, telling him things like "Just keep it movin', pal.  Don't start none, won't be none.  That's right, get the heck on down the road.  Go get a flippin' job!  Next time you come this way you'd better be throwing a burger over the fence - with extra pickles!  You Bastard!"

That's usually our girl.  Our boy rarely talks.  He prefers to let silly things wander into range, then say "hello" in a rather touchy-feely manner.

Whenever we leave for a while, we know there will be some sort of death and carnage to sort out when we get home.  Even with a pet-sitter checking in daily, dead things simply pile up, usually outside.  Yesterday as I made my first walk through the house, I kicked a heavy pillow as I walked through our dining room.  No, we don't keep pillows on our dining room floor.  It turned out to be the biggest groundhog I have seen in many, many years.  He must have thought our yard looked like a good place to pop up. 

He was wrong.

Thankfully, it was a still relatively fresh kill - no rotting-corpse smell yet, just the smudges, smears and fur-bits on our hardwood floor that you would expect after your two hundred-pounds of dogs have just finished using a groundhog as a hockey puck.  Another part of the house looked like a tornado went through, and we found the cause - a dead mouse told the entire story.  It must have been an epic battle.

Anyway, and this ties into our weekend at Brock's, believe it or not, Holly and I have been listening to the usual chatter from the back deck today as our dogs remind people they live elsewhere and should go there.  For some reason, today our dogs are ending many of their sentences with "...you Kentucky F*cktard!"

By the way, there will be a few haiku coming to public life in the near future that are absolutely guaranteed to vapor-lock NSA for at least a week.  ;)

Upcoming weekend in DC

During our discussions over the weekend, I briefly made mention that our Framers watched the French Revolution and became motivated to wrap up the still-open political wounds in America as quickly as possible.  Remember that the French stormed the Bastille in late 1789.  It did not take keen senses to see that the Revolution coming to life in France was to be an ugly affair, with a level of violence that much of the colonies had - thus far - escaped.  But they knew that North Carolina, Rhode Island and Vermont had not yet ratified the US Constitution.  Several very vocal anti-Constitutionalist Founders began to soften their tone and in many cases, even endorse and support full ratification.

This happened because our Founding Fathers were very wise men with a nearly prophetic ability to see what is and what may come.  They knew that American political wounds were still angry and only beginning to heal in some places.  In other places, there was still discord.  There remained the embers that could flare-up to engulf the colonies easily and unwind all the advances that had been made for individual Liberty.  They knew we could still devour ourselves.

In those early days of America, when the ratification process was still happening, the Framers were very, very careful to use a single thread to bind all of the colonies together and all of the men in those colonies, whether Bostonian or Virginian or Carolinian, the thread being used by the Framers to join us all as "Americans" was not God, it was not trade, it was not color of skin or one's lineage - it was our mutual respect for individual Liberty - Jefferson's Rightful Liberty.  Make no mistake, those other common traits within the colonies (religion, trade, common European background, common language, etc) were all helpful factors - but what would make the man from Georgia walk to Boston and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a man from Massachusetts was the mutual respect for one another's Rightful Liberty.  That was our common bond.  (It is no coincidence this is the same common bond we have established for the Citadel.) 

In America today, Bad People have managed to replace that common bond with squabbles used to separate us rather than unite us.  You and I know this already.  You and I understand that America missed the horrors of a Reign of Terror by the skin of our teeth when our republic was birthed.  And while you and I understand the need to do what we can to avoid such unrestrained reprisals in the coming North American Liberty Games, we also understand that we are among the smallest minority currently occupying the American political space.  If even a small percentage of Americans decide to begin burning their political enemies from home and hearth, and hanging them from lamp posts, one would have an easier time stopping the incoming tide with a spoon than to stop such mob violence that will take a life of its own.

This coming weekend in Washington DC is being watched very carefully by many of us. 

The Truckers say they are coming.  The Veterans say they are coming.  These are two powerful groups in America with roots that reach deeply into every facet of our lives, and they reach into the very emotional Soul of America.  Our enemies know this, too...

Given the political climate and the sense that many of us have regarding the intent of Evil People, these groups in Washington this weekend, especially if the .Gov remains in "Shut-down", combined with the willingness of Evil People to not only use a crisis, but to create a crisis - this coming weekend in Washington DC may become a real "Thing". 

In 1776 the nature of the American man and woman was different than today.  The nature of American political leaders was different.  Men like Jefferson and Franklin and Henry and Adams are usually limited to once in a generation, and by that I mean, you may have a Franklin in Gen X and a Jefferson in Gen Y, but good luck ever having another Perfect Storm that put so many such men together in one place, at one time, as happened at the birth of our nation.  Today, we do not have the ability, I fear, to stop an American Reign of Terror if violence erupts.

I am undecided at this moment what my weekend may hold.  I will watch and determine as we get closer if my presence with a camera and internet link may be of use in the heart of the city.  If I decide to venture into the city and some of you plan to do the same, we can create a muster point if desired and ride this wave together.

For now, let's watch and see how the Enemies of Liberty seek to lay the ground. 

They may choose another time or place.

They may seek an epic American weekend.

III Jeep Project

There is much territory to cover between now and the time I get busy setting up the Jeep for its proper role.  What I call our "Shakedown Cruise" went pretty well.  The truck was sold brand new in Iowa, lived it's entire life in the same town, averaged 6,400 miles each year, and was never abused.  Holly and I have put a bit over 4,000 miles on it sin the last 5-6 weeks.  We are averaging 20.5-23 mpg highway (which blew my mind, because the original EPA rating was for 18 highway, and we are loaded down with an extra 1,000 pounds of gear, Akita's, etc.)  We had the 4psi radiator cap issue that has been resolved.  One of the Goodyear tires separated, and the kid we bought the truck from used rims that were not quite right for the Jeep, so we currently have a mishmash of rubber - no biggie, 4 ply tires don't live long in Idaho, so we planned on going to 8 ply anyway - we just would have preferred doing it on our schedule.  We'll get a package with rims at the same time, and proper spare.

Anyway, when I get around to outfitting and modifying this Jeep for its intended role, would it be at all interesting for you folks to see what we do, why, how, and so forth?  I am no gearhead - the thrust of the posts would be outfitting the truck to be a III capable machine.  I'm a Warn guy, so everything we upgrade would be Warn.  I have no idea if we'll do anything like changing axles, et cetera - that's where I'll need advice from you guys who know what you are talking about.  I'm certainly not going to do a lift kit, and I'll probably even go down in tire size closer to OEM.  (the kid who put on the Goodyear's went to P235s).   I've owned 4x4's since I was able to drive, always Jeep or Chevy, and I can change tranny's, transfer cases, even engines if it is a straight swap - but that's monkey-see, monkey-do.  I make no claims to having any real automotive skills, especially diagnostic skills.

I'd probably set it up on its own blog just to keep things neat and tidy, but maybe it would be a useful ongoing topic of who is choosing what rig, how they are outfitting, why, and so forth.

Just something to ponder...

Warriors, true Warriors, die every day.

Warriors are not bullet-proof.  When our hearts are pierced, we bleed out.  When our knee takes a solid blow, it becomes damaged.

Warriors die every day.  We die on the streets.  We die when outnumbered by Bad People.  We die sometimes in our own beds, if our defenses have failed and our enemies manage to get close.

But never has a Warrior died in a basement or cellar or bunker among women and children - for Warriors do not hide in basements, or cellars or bunkers. 

When given the choice, the Warrior chooses to march out and meet his battle - life or not life.  Those are the only variables.  Victory is in the Fight, in not cowering, in not avoiding by words or device. 

It is the fight that separates Warriors from others.

Warriors do not enter battle carelessly or easily.  To put one's life on the line or to take the life of another without just cause is not how true Warriors live. 

There must be Principle at stake.  There must be Obligation.

What separates the Warrior from the average man?

Warriors will go in Harm's Way - by choice.

NC PatCon

Sorry I haven't been posting much, folks.  HK and I have been prepping for a bit of life-change well-off the east coast.  It is official: Last round of traveling CQB classes will be through October this year.  If you want CQB after that from me, you'll be trekking into the mountains of the west.

At the moment I haven't been in email for a few days at all, life is too busy.  I expect to roll into Brock's PatCon Friday morning before class, which starts at 9am.  Holly and I will stay the evening, and head out sometime late Saturday.  We have 2 groups for CQB tentatively forming in Alabama and the DFW area of Texas in October - I can squeeze in one more if it is on my travel path.  Shoot me an email and I'll put you in touch with the local hosts.

You've all been watching the headlines.  You know what is coming.  You know what you need to do to avoid the first wave of chaos, then go to work.  So, do it.  Talk is cheap.  When I let my mind consider the reality, I shudder to think how many "Patriots" will be killed in their own homes, and how many of those at their own computers. 

You know what you need to do.  Do it.

You will never get permission to do what must be done.  You will get little or no warning before every other person in your neighborhood.  There will be no cavalry.

I may be out of comms until Brock's.  We shall see.

Use what works for you, ignore the rest...

For the record I play by all of the unconstitutional restrictions .gov has imposed upon me regarding 2A.  I pick my battles.

Every once in a while I wear my holsters to CQB class as I would in the real world.  As you can see, once more I shatter all conventional wisdom.  My Uncle taught me how to wear and what to wear, after many, many, many combinations that fit my personality, my personal idiosyncrasies, body size (I'm a small guy who insists on full-sized 1911s and Browning Hi Powers), not to mention his insistence that I shoot two handed, engaging multiple targets at once.  His methodology only worked with me, none of my cousins could master the autonomous functioning of left and right hands operating independently.

The holsters above are made from Kirkpatrick Leather, and they are the best leather rigs I have ever owned.  They are the "Texas Crossdraw" Models, one is right hand, one is left hand.  They were made for 1911s, but as you can see, they do darned well for Hi Powers.  Of course, if I ever decide to leave the porch, I'll order a set of Hi Power rigs.  Right now I am working on them to make my wife a crossdraw for the Ruger SP-101 (Stainless, 5-shot .357 magnum with Hogue grips)

Sometimes I wear the empty holsters in public as my own little insignificant protest regarding my 2A predicament.  Sometimes, I carry the Blue Gun Trainers for a bigger F. U.  I know - that'll show 'em!

Anyway - why do I choose crossdraws when the "Conventional Wisdom" has essentially poo-poo'd the carry style.  Sit in your car and try to deploy from a crossdraw - you can put a double-tap on target before the bad guy has time to cue the "Oh Shit!" moment.  And if you are being jacked from the passenger side, same same.

Yes, I always carry two.  My sense of symmetry decorum would be forever offended if I carried only one, and I'd have no choice but to commit suicide if I carried anything but a matched set.  (This is how compulsive I am - 2 Hi Powers exactly the same in every other respect, one with a 10 round mag and one with 13 - I could never carry.  Nucking futs, right?!)

Another reason for the Kirkpatrick Crossdraws: I can scoot them around to kidney carry and they lay against my body very comfortably.  At the same time, I don't have to re-train my brain to turn my hands upside down when drawing from the rear - my hands stay in their natural position, grab the butts, and draw.

As you can see, one of the things I do not believe in is retention systems.  My students know this - If I ever were to decide and carry against the wishes of my Federal Masters, I would not let a Bad Guy get into CQB range.  In addition, I am very well-versed in protecting my rigs from enemy hands in CQB.  And if he gets "Lucky" enough to pull one of my pistols, he's got more to worry about from the one he doesn't have...

Get yourself a comfortable crossdraw and use it in the car for a while.  Drill with it.  Consider how quickly your wife can get that weapon deployed and on-target if needed.  If you then decide to have her switch to strong-side hip carry as soon as she gets out of the car, go for it.

Experiment.  Challenge "Conventional Wisdom".  As Mosby says "Skull stomp a few Sacred Cows".

The key is to win.  Nothing else matters.

Get off the line of attack

My students hear that phrase so often during CQB class they probably get sick of hearing it.  My goal in repeating it is to hopefully imprint it on the brain.  I only have a few hours with each student, and "Getting off the line of attack" is the fundamental premise of surviving a deathfight at buckle-to-buckle range.

The premise does not simply apply to fights at close range.  It is a strategy and tactic that works from the national level to the personal.  If the enemy intends to attack X, be somewhere else.  Sounds simple.  Is simple.  My students also hear: Do not try to box Mike Tyson or wrestle Royce Gracie.  You never attack an enemy's strength, especially if you are no match for his strength.  If the enemy defends X, hit him at Y.

After our Los Angeles class, one of our Patriots took the premise and considered it, along with his own common sense and many other factors - and moved from SoCal to Texas.  Why?  In the event of an economic implosion, he and his family are in a better physical position.  While they may still be on "a" line of attack - they are "not" within the Los Angeles kill zone.

The entire Citadel Project is predicated on getting off the line of attack.  A group of Patriots decided they wanted to be as far away from the likely combat zones as possible when the economy busts, EBT cards dry up, and the Police State hits the streets of every major metro across the land.  Our families will be tucked safely away from the worst carnage, and the likelihood of rampaging hordes finding us are slim to none.  And if they do find us, our position is already defensible.  One or two Riflemen can protect thousands of people in our AO - and that is NOT hyperbole.

Knowing our families are safe, those who are of a mind to do so can cowboy-up and go looking for dragons to slay.  Many people have tried to find fault with our Citadel concept, and I have not heard even one convincing argument yet.  Even if we do not have walls and bunkers, we have terrain, we have Tribe, we have the means to produce food and energy.  Real families are already coming, right now.  Not to change the nature of our Redoubt, but to become part of it, to carry our own weight, and to let Bad People spend their energy and resources on each other while we take pause, conserve our assets and energy, before we choose to enter the fight on our terms.

Whether you plan to duck in the hills of Appalachia or the Rockies or the High Desert of the South West, or the marshes of Florida while letting the first waves of idiots kill each other, good for you.  There is no reason you can't slip out once in a while and help Patriots by giving OpFor a mouthful of FUBAR now and again.  But save your real energy for when OpFor is weak and tired and his morale is low.

Holly and I are looping back for the winter.  We promised more than a year ago we would lead from the front.  We are NOT armchair quarterbacks or generals.  We have skin in the game - in fact, we have all our chips in the pot.  Our path lies that way, and anyone who chooses to walk with us, or follow us, is welcome.  I know many of you are doing exactly that - preparing to get off the line of attack where you currently live, and coming to the charming little place we have decided is home.

Bring jobs.  Bring your families.  Bring your commitment to Rightful Liberty.  In protecting ourselves, we can help protect others.  Every single person Holly and I have met in our new home has greeted us warmly, authentically, and with kindness.  Several of us watched as a complete stranger walked up to Jim Miller and shook his hand, because he appreciated the patriotic message on Jim's shirt.

For those of you who prefer ranches or farming, there is plenty of land available that is fertile and profitable.  For those who want to be surrounded by Americans who still understand what community means, this place never forgot.  For those of you who simply want to get your loved ones off the line of attack, you could do much worse than Benewah County, Idaho.

I think most of us watch the news headlines every day and understand that there is no way we can ever vote our way out of this national disease - at least not by voting alone.  I think we all watch the headlines and understand the pace is quickening.  There are people who want a fight.  They have no place in their world for you or me, and they mean to be rid of us.  I think more and more Patriots are fully comprehending that economic implosion is imminent.

Get off the line of attack.

Then, if you choose, you can effectively counter-attack.
