Being a Patriot just got much more dangerous.

'The Establishment' roared in recent days, and now the agenda is clear: Push the 'Tea Party' name and practitioners under the bus, declare them to be radical and extreme (this is coming from the Republican Establishment today, from the Hill to Wall Street Journal and beyond), link them to high-profile people with legitimacy such as Ted Cruz, giving them cover to crack down on the lesser-known adherents to Tea Party philosophy - and those further to the Right.

Put your thinking caps on, folks.

It is no secret that Tea Party politicians were diluted immediately upon arriving to Washington.  But now it is clear that the Establishment still considers them to be too powerful on the Hill, and in the public eye.  Establishment Republicans felt the pressure, and recent attempts to de-throne the Speaker from the Right have been taken seriously. 

Notice the word "Conservative" in the media today, being spouted by Establishment Rs?  When is the last time you heard that word from the Hill or big name writers?  It has been a while.  Now it is revived with claims that the "conservatives" sided with Boehner - thus creating the illusion that the "Conservatives" speak for the Right wing of the party, have legitimacy, and thus mark the line of serious political discussion.  Anyone to the "Right" of "Conservatives" is open-range.  That McConnell accepted an earmark for Kentucky in the bill is an open FU to the Tea Party, who demanded, and rec'd, an end to such things in recent years.

Look at how the Establishment is hammering Cruz today, and seeking to hang the Tea Party Brand around his neck, while claiming that he and his Tea Party extremists have damaged the Republican Brand with their foolish political games of recent weeks and months, and put the nation at risk.  Terrorists put the nation at risk, right?  And how do we deal with terrorists?

What is the end result of all this?

If the Establishment is willing to eat Ted Cruz, what do you think they'll do to protect you and me?

As your house burns to the ground with your family in it, Establishment Washington has given the green light, and made it clear that you and your silly principles are not welcome, and will receive no cover from the second party in Washington.

It is open season on the remnants of the Tea Party - which means Patriots have officially become Varmint Class - no seasons, no bag limits, kill at will.

Krav Maga: First class AAR

A fellow Patriot just attended his first Krav Maga class, and sent me a report. 

This particular Patriot understands the importance of being able to fight at very close quarters, and that it is merely one aspect of an entire skillset that ranges from empty hands to knives, handguns and rifles, which is all but a subset of one's needed overall knowledge for the upcoming North American Liberty Games. 

Every Patriot needs a full package of skills, and time is short.  None of us have the time to become a proficient SF explosives expert, nor could we ever become so unless we enlist and live the life of a SF explosives expert.  None of us can ever match the ju-jutsu skills of a Gracie, because we were not raised from the age of toddlers in a Gracie dojo.  Very few non-military snipers will ever have the shooting abilities of a trained military sniper, and even if a civilian manages to teach himself to shoot that well, how many hours has he trained in moving in hostile territory?  How many hours has he trained in a ghillie?  And how many times has he put that training to the test in real life?  Don't set your goal of becoming a super-ninja - it is too high, time is too short, and that window of opportunity has passed for most of us.

Like the Patriot who sent me this AAR, you should seek as much training as possible, from the best teachers you can find - and understand that every skill is just one arrow in the quiver.

Here's his AAR.  I hope all of you fare as well:

There were four of us first timers. About twelve in the class. Three very serious looking guys in the course.

After warmup with pushups, situps, running a bit, the first exercise was to simply grab your opponent's wrist/arm with both hands. Object is to move about and not allow them to grab yours. I got one guy, but NOBODY could grab mine. Everyone tried, FAIL. Thanks to you. Heh. Your III CQB course rocks.

We hit the focus mitts for a while, then practiced escaping from a two handed choke from behind. (Defense: arms up quickly, hands strike down behind the head onto the hands targeting their thumbs, drag their arm down while simultaneously stepping a bit sideways, sweep arm (that was dragging down opponents arm) directly backwards into groin, followed by upward elbow into jaw, spin into opponent striking head/neck with forearm, controlling attacker by one hand on upper back of arm, striking arm pulling opponent down while kneeing attacker in the head (or groin if he tried to stand up).

Hope that made sense.

Then front kicks to the groin, both rear leg (power) and front leg (to injure/distract while you step in and clobber him with elbows and knees combinations.

Then more focus mitts for 1 minute straight, then change sides, lather rinse repeat for 5 minutes...and then hard knees into opponents midsection (you held a big pad) for 30 seconds straight each leg. I chose one of the serious guys for these, he could knee kick so hard I saw stars when his 30 seconds was over. He said that I could kick like a mule, but that's because I was trying to pay him back. I definitely got more than I gave, but it was my first time. Just wait, Mister Serious Looking Man...

Then partner up with focus pads; the overhead lights got turned way down, like nightfall, and flashing strobes like you were standing next to a LEO car. That screwed with my depth perception but I think that was the goal.

Then close one eye and do more. Then the other eye. Yep, that was the goal.

I was totally gassed after the hour was over.

And totally hooked.

Find the skills you need, folks - then get as much as possible, right up to the moment the festivities begin.  You will be tested on the job if you are a Patriot.

Hubris versus Reality

Every time I read "4GW" in a Liberty blog I throw up a little in my mouth.

Mosby tackles the issue, as part of a larger message: You need skills that you probably do not have.

Why do I hate the 4GW language?  Because it is a fancy label placed on a simple topic.  Far too often we like to dress-up what we do to make it seem romantic, heroic, or beyond the capabilities of our neighbor.  4GW is such.  "Low Intensity Conflict" is such. "Martial Arts" is such.  Even the word "Combatives" and the "CQB" tag get pretty close to the same arena.

I tell my fellow Patriots when I teach to be careful and do not let the application of a technique (say a rear choke) blind them from the obvious solution (like picking up a brick and slamming it into the other guy's face).  Killing a man is no harder than walking to him and pushing a knife into his body at a vulnerable point.  It is no more sophisticated than shooting him in the back.  Hit him with a Chevrolet, at high speed, while accelerating.  Punch him firstest with the mostest.  Don't announce that you intend to sneak up on someone - it ruins the surprise.

Do not over-think such things.  If you do not have X skillset, go find someone who has it and is willing to help.  Just be careful not to let it go to your head.

Enemies draped in the symbols of Patriots

Many of our allies worry about their Tribes being infiltrated by .Gov LEO or provocateurs, or simply snitches.

But what of the Enemy operators who drape themselves in the symbols of Liberty while actively and openly working for ends that are not truly Liberty-based, and those who work to simply re-define what Liberty means?

They exist.  This is hardly a new tactic in large population subversion campaigns.  America has done it.  Communists have done it.  But I wonder if anyone but American Communists have dared such crass and blatant manipulation, while contrary evidence still exists in the memory of so many people.

They self-identify as a "...progressive patriot organization..."

From their website: There's a progressive patriot group based out of Rockford we call the Sons of Liberty. Our purpose is to heed the call whenever boots on the ground are needed for a MoveOn, PDA, CodePINK, & OCCUPY event, or for any other kind rally, for that matter, whereby democratic values are advanced.

Consider: A prison guard (Strike One: Who voluntarily walks into a prison for 30 years in return for a paycheck?  Someone who is the living embodiment of Franklin's admonition of those who are willing to trade Liberty for security, that's who...) heads an organization called the Sons of Liberty in overwhelmingly Leftist Illinois, while working in Democrat booths at county fairs, deriding Tea Party principles, building "Sniper-Sweeper Teams" for a coming conflict.  Confused messaging?  Don't think it is an accident.

An ally of ours in Wisconsin emailed a heads-up about a group operating in Illinois that wraps themselves in the words and symbols of the Revolution, true Patriots, and Rightful Liberty, while putting forth Marxist ideals and labeling them as "Traditional Patriotism".

Just take a few minutes and explore, then look around and see if you have any such groups in your AO.  (You do, beginning with every LEO actor, for they claim to represent RoL and America, as they stomp heads and put people in prison for 2A "violations".) 

There is an effort underway to publicly, and violently, if needed, claim the symbols of Rightful Liberty and re-define the meaning of Liberty.  This represents an evolution, in my opinion, an emboldening, of anti-Liberty forces.  They do not seek to stay in the shadows and whisper of their revolution - they are willing to be publicly identified.

Patriot Leaders: Search your ranks.  Search your AOs.  Make your lists a bit longer, as needed.

Just because the guy in the foxhole next to you is wearing a Gadsden cap, don't assume he defines Liberty as do you.  We've seen the same tactics used (albeit in stealth mode) by White Nationals, by Anarcho-Capitalists, simple Anarchists, right on down to simple idiots who think they are the smartest in the room.  Stab these f*cks in the neck, because they will shoot you in the back.

Explore: One, two, three.

Adjust any rose-colored glasses as necessary.

Aim for the carotids if using a blade.

WRSA has the story that is NOT a Sparklie.

In Washington the debt battle has moved beyond simple brinksmanship, and beyond routine Right/Left bickering.  Anyone who still believes the EBT chaos last weekend was a "Glitch" is beyond my ability to help.  It was a shot across the bow.  It was a muscle-flex.  It was real power on display.  Many of us intuitively knew Saturday's "glitch" was a deliberate Enemy Action, but now we have real evidence we were right. 

FedGov is telling States to suspend the SNAP (EBT/Food) program November 1, until further notice.  To play such a card in Washington is a big deal, it is evidence that the discussions behind closed doors are hot and ugly and real.  Who folds doesn't matter.  The fact that the stakes are so high is what matters.  The fact that .Gov would pull that trigger when it doesn't have to is evidence that one side means to crush the other.  ANY shuttering of EBT is a SELECTIVE DEFAULT - there is money to keep these programs going.  This will only happen if Bad People WANT it to happen.

You and I know what will happen if the EBT system goes down for real.  An army of FSA will be told it is because those nasty, hateful, extremist Republicans and Tea Party and Patriot groups want them to starve to death.  That army doesn't need a rank and command structure.  It is a horde, a mob.  They will simply expand outward from wherever they reside into the stores and residential areas, picking the country clean, burning parts of it to the ground, and venting some of their frustrations on the Enemy they have been told to hate.

Reach for Go Bags?  No, not yet.  Keep them close and be ready to move if needed.  But, that the letter surfaced after such an obvious warning over the weekend says the threat is merely on the table at the moment.  It is designed to win the political debate in DC.  Yes, it is an elbow to the face tactic, lacking any finesse, but when real Power is the prize, people play rough.  It also serves to remind all players, you and me included, just how easy it would be for the Enemies of Liberty to burn this country to the ground.  You don't live near high concentrations of low-income Black folks?  You are thinking in a single dimension.  More White families accept .Gov largesse than do Black families.  Now consider how many people in your county work for some .Gov entity, Fed to Local level, either full-time or on a contractor basis.  Those people are the second claw in any FSA pincer.

This one is real, folks.  It is probably just posturing and threatening, but make no mistake - dropping threats like this should make it clear that the stakes have never been higher.

American Patriotism: Proof of Life

Gary Hunt writes of a turning point.

I agree.

For the first time a large number of Americans did not simply sit and grow angry.

They did not simply write letters or send emails or make phone calls.  They've already done that, many times.

They did not simply head to their local rally point or voting booth.    They've already done that, too. 

Vets and other Patriots from across the country showed up to say their words in person.  If that is where it had stopped, yesterday would not have been significant.

"To the White House!" the cry climbed on the misty, cool DC air from very near my shoulder, and a long train of Americans began snaking from the Memorials toward the home of the President.  They picked up the symbols of .Govs animus and decided to return them to sender, and seek a discussion about our current long train of abuses.  Yes, those inside the White House were invited outside to talk, many times, by Vets and other Patriots in attendance.  Those invitations died on the air.

But that simple act, the courage given to those who heard the cry to head to the White House, the tall stacks of Barry-cades dropped at both sides of the property, represent action.  Tangible, real action.

The rattlesnake rattled her tail.

The result? 

The King's Men abandoned the field.  Some whispered apologies as they walked by us, heads and eyes low.  Some of them know what they are doing is wrong.  It is not too late if you are working as a cog in the machine.  Walk away.  Just walk away.  Find the courage in your hearts to do the right thing, now.  I dare say most of us will forgive you - today.  Tomorrow may be too late.

October 13, 2013 was a significant day in American history.  No blood was shed.  But the nation heard the rattle.  It started with the voice of one man, backed up by a thousand and more.

We have entered another phase of resistance.

Until yesterday we had only used our words.  Yesterday, we added a single defiant action, to prove our sincerity.  Proof of Life of American Patriotism was provided, and left at the front and rear doors of the White House.  When the King's Men saw that Proof of Life, they blinked.

We've used our words.  I believe yesterday marks the end of words alone.

Real Americans are about to start giving out free handfuls of Fuck You.

The "Shutdown" Was Shutdown

Another set of Patriots on the Mall with us was Prepping Preacher and his wife.  They traveled in from Maine.

"Semper Fi" he offered former Marines as they passed him, and all responded proudly.  He was there for all of the Marines who were also on the ground, and for all of those who could not be there.

His flag waved in the cool, misty Washington fall air.

We were surrounded by Vets and other Patriots.  I felt like a kid again, back at the VFW just a few miles up the road.  But I am no longer a kid, and as I watched the WWII and other Vets, I thought about how it was my turn to support them.

How I did that isn't important now.  Who had my back isn't important now, except to me.

Make no mistake, folks - we are at War.  With Communists and their Evil cousins.

We need not travel to foreign lands to find or engage them.

They are here.  They are everywhere.  They read history, too.

They have a plan, as they always do.

That plan only relates to you and me in the chapter titled "Be rid of the opposition".

If you aren't doing it already, watch your six.  If you aren't doing it already, figure out who really, truly has your back, and return the favor.  Keep each other informed in case the world goes sideways.  Be ready to go into the world and cover his or her or their backs.

Playtime is over.

This war escalated yesterday, at least on our side.  Even if you couldn't be on the Mall yesterday, you were there.  You were there with us.  We know you have our backs.  We know if the world goes sideways and eats us, you will serve the next course.

Respect the world around you, it is dangerous.  This is not your father's America anymore.

Polygonal Battlespace

At the front door of the White House, Vets & other Patriots returned a few misplaced barricades they found littering the Mall.  Another pile was deposited at the back door.  The message is clear, and direct.  The optics suck for the regime.  Once Vets and other Patriots began marching on the White House with Barry-cades in hand, every option on the table sucked from the regime perspective.  They chose the least-damaging political resolution.  It became clear to us that the regime never once considered that the Vets and other Patriots scheduled for the WWII Memorial would come to the White House.

They were flat-footed, under-staffed, and nervous.

Military Vets are not a Tea Party gathering of old blue-hairs sitting in lawn chairs at a small community park.  Tacti-Cool geared cops who suffer from over-nourishment (thanks Jeremiah!) and an extra X chromosome learned yesterday that they are not the hardest Team in the polygonal battlespace.  Not even close.  As tensions peaked, they stood down when faced with passionate Vets and other Patriots who dared challenge their diktats.  There was a deliberate tactical decision taken somewhere in their ranks for a strategic purpose - because they came to understand that if things escalated much more and things were to grow sporty - they were too few with too little.

That was a moment to behold.  The crowd cheered as the King's Men left the field.

Even Kings bleed.

And make no mistake, if you continue to work for the machine that is grinding Americans, you have chosen your team - and we are watching.  We will remember.  Making lists is not a one-way street. "Just following orders..." will not be accepted.  Apologizing is futile.  You will be judged for the injury you have inflicted as you "...just did your job..." and infringed the Rightful Liberty of your Countrymen.

Jim Miller and I watched the events with a wide view of the field.  Alan and CA and JX (a friend of CA's who I will not name, not sure how out he is online) were in the front ranks, pressing the message of the day.  They were shoulder-to-shoulder with several hundred others who have grown agitated with the oppression coming from Washington.  Yes, 'agitation' is the proper word.  Had this group of Vets and Patriots been 'Pissed off', there would have been a much different discussion yesterday.  You must understand this group of Vets and Patriots know how to shoot, move and communicate.  Many of them understand incoming hostile fire, and close-quarters interpersonal disagreement resolution.  They do not rattle when a thug in a riot helmet makes a mean face or uses his big-boy voice.

Yesterday was a necessary step in the fight for Liberty.

Yesterday the rattlesnake signaled its only warning.

We were in DC, but remember the fight for each Patriot is in his own AO.  Local, local, local.  You will not need to travel far from your front door to find Evil and engage.  Making noise in DC offers important images and words needed for the fighters who seek Restoration of Liberty.  As it did yesterday, it also offered a morale boost and a bit more open recognition of the illegitimacy that covers the Enemies of Liberty.  But images of Americans kicking orange cones aside and hiking on 'closed' trails across the country are just as important. 

Resist.

Everywhere.

The day was a good day for Liberty.

Do not think the Other Side won't swing back.  They will.

I have asked recently if we had a Sam Adams out there, and today I watched two men rise to that level of patriotism.  They did some Spanking while others did some Flanking.  Flank & Spank (TM)

The Flank wasn't necessary.  When the enemy walks off the field, you win the battle.  Liberty won today.

There is more.  There is a LOT more.  CA was brilliant.  Alan Mullenax was at his shoulder and walking the walk that History will record.

Barry-cades were Returned to Sender.  They were picked up on the Mall and walked across the street and dropped at the front and back doors of the White House.

American Veterans and Patriots stepped up today.  Big time.

I am proud to be in such company.

I'm about half-tired of people pointing weapons at me...

Israel's family had their first run-in with life under ObamaCare.  It ain't good.  If you have had any contact with the medical system since ObamaCare officially started, feel free to share any helpful information.

The poster above articulates what I have written many times: Every law on the books is, ultimately, enforced by the muzzle of a weapon.  Period.  Full Stop.

I was born with Asthma.  When I was a kid I spent a fair bit of time in oxygen tents, trying to breathe.  There were no inhalers at the time.  They did not exist.  This was at a time when the medical world had not fully embraced the concept of allergies. (I sh*t thee not - my pediatrician at the time did not believe in allergies - it's one of those paradigm-shifting moments just like when doctors did not know about spreading germs - as recently as the Civil War.)  Fortunately for me, Children's Hospital in Philadelphia was available and was ahead of the curve.  You may wonder how I managed to become proficient in martial arts with asthma hanging around my neck - it is called tenacity.  ;)

I am on a cash basis for my medical care.  I have a burr under my saddle regarding the insurance industry that is almost as big as the burr I have regarding "big-government".  I try to stay outside of the insurance game wherever possible.  When I need something, I go see my doctor, and I pay her.  When I need meds, I go pay for them.  Yes, they have tried to make it very difficult for people to remain outside the insurance-paradigm for generations, and now it is apparently going to be much, much worse.  For if I refuse to enroll in ObamaCare (take a guess where I stand on THAT spectrum), and I refuse to pay the "tax" (take a guess where I stand on THAT spectrum), what happens when I need a new inhaler?  For me, rescue inhalers are not optional - they are not a butter item, they are a guns item.  Given the right set of circumstances I will die without them, and it will not be a pretty death.  Ever watched a fish die on the dock trying to breathe?  (by the way, do they even still teach "Guns & Butter" under that name anymore in school, or is it some PC-titled silliness in economics classes?)

Will my doctor be forced to turn me away from her practice when I call next time?  Will I be able to get a prescription for new inhalers?  If I manage to get the prescription, will the pharmacy fill it if I am not enrolled in ObamaCare?  Have the people in my government now pointed yet another weapon at me and told me that if I will not bend knee and play their reindeer games, I will not be entitled to life-saving meds?  Have these people in my government now put me in the position that I must pick up a weapon and become a criminal, simply to score a $20 inhaler (retail!) so I can live?  When I was young my asthma was triggered by allergens - and I have plenty.  Over the years I have built tolerances and endurances, but I am not "cured".  As I have gotten older my asthma can be triggered in the absence of allergens and merely by an abrupt change in temperatures - such as walking from a nice, toasty house into a cold, dry winter day.  Once I push-through my initial "flare-up" (either with a rescue inhaler or by just being determined and measured and suffering-through) and catch my second wind, all is well and I am good to go. 

But I promise you - no inhalers = death sentence - and I refuse to be murdered that easily.

I have tolerated their meddling in my healthcare to date - I have played by the rules and gone to my physician and rec'd the government-mandated permission slip to buy my meds.  But they are now taking this to another level.

We speak often about the ability to use food as a weapon.  It is no joke.  Now consider how many people in your life would suffer needlessly without their prescriptions, or simply die.  That is no joke, either.  The Kerodin Doctrine of Self Defense is invoked if they begin pointing weapons at me when I try to buy a simple inhaler - or when your wife needs a mammogram, or when...

Truckers protest?

Not so much.

Let me clarify: If their intent was to have an impact on Friday morning rush hour, or even a presence lining the shoulders - Fail.

Really, the rain is usually all it takes to essentially shut down the beltway and make life miserable.  Every report I have indicates very, very few truckers showed up to play.

How does this fare for DC this weekend?  Not sure, still thinking about it.  I think the political tensions are dropping among the "Establishment", not escalating.  And if they bump the Debt Limit?  Sunday in DC will be just another day...

I am watching the blogosphere, and I am seeing Patriots who understand what evil this way comes.

Steady, Patriots.

Hold.  Let them crash and break their bodies upon the mettle of our Hearts.

Then...

Push!  And as my students hear often...go to work!

Take from them everything.

Honor is not in standing tall in victory on the battlefield.  Honor is to be found on the field, and refusing to yield, refusing to hide or surrender.
