III Arms: Founders #1 1911
**UPDATE** I missed video Jim had sent me as well - firing Unit #1 - it is now below in the middle of the post. - K
Jim Miller posted this image at his Facebook page, here.
Video below - missed the video earlier.
They say success is the best revenge.
I'm really not feeling much in the way of vengeance right now for those who cried "Scam" and "They'll never deliver a single unit" and so many other negative attempts to destroy this Patriot effort.
I feel pride. I am proud to know Jim Miller. I am proud of every single Founder who trusted us enough to give this a shot. I am proud of every single Patriot who has given us moral support, and who flies III Arms banners on their blogs.
And I feel sad for those who tried to kill this growth of the Liberty Movement.
Don't get all weepy and think I've had some sort of emotional growth - I'm not that evolved. ;)
I am simply proud of all of you. I know who is destined to own that first 1911. May you never need to fire it in self defense - but if you do, I know that 1911 will do its part to help keep you alive.

III Whiskey: AWESOME!!!
I rec'd this from David over at NCRenegade, here.
III Whiskey.
This is outstanding, Patriots. It means our III Brand is growing, it means our roots are growing deeply into the minds and Souls of Americans. This is a good thing.
I also know a III Beer and III Vodka are in the works. There are two III Patriots in Pennsylvania who make a superb selection of brandy's and bourbon and more.
Here's the note included in the email, I believe written by Hans, a brilliant mind in our community who contributes often at NCRenegade, and who I have had the honor of meeting because of Brock.

On

Its
fair enough. Simple and direct is worlds better than fluff and marketing.

Smell

Lots
of grains, thankfully, and not just a sea of corn and rye. A bit of burn,
owing to the abv. I actually find a bit of leather and raisin, hard oak and
charcoal smoke with a strong corn and wheat top.

Taste

Touch
of water fixes the hard edge. The result is a bit unusual. Very sweet front
of raw sugar and corn meets a big base of oak and cigar smoke. A bit of mocha
and a big, oaty wave come in the middle and it ends cornbread and sweet tea.
Odd, but enjoyable. Very impressive for a young and new Bourbon.

III Citadel: Update
We are very proud about how the Citadel Project is progressing. Families and businesses are moving toward the Redoubt. The way I like to see this in my mind is to picture Benewah County at night time, and each III Patriot family and business is a pinpoint of light. Those pinpoints are growing in number and brightness. If we zoom out to the greater Redoubt, there are even more pinpoints of Patriot lights. But, of course, my concern is Benewah County.
What we have come to call the Stronghold is our Showcase. Families will begin to live there this spring and summer. Other families and businesses are coming into the county over the 2014 year. Finding a contiguous parcel of land physically large enough to satisfy the needs of the full Citadel is challenging, but we are patient. We are certain that when the time is right, the opportunity will present itself. Until then the evolution of the Citadel Project is advancing one family at a time, one business at a time, one individual or couple at a time, truly patriotic Americans who possess the Pioneer Spirit that built this fine country. Walls and other facets of the Citadel will happen piece by piece as the time is right. Until then, we will continue to bring III Patriot entrepreneurs and families into the area to help improve the local economy and to help the people of Benewah County understand that we intend to be a positive addition to their wonderful community.
At the Stronghold we will continue to prepare for III Arms to relocate when the time is right. Jim Miller is producing fine Fighting Rifles and Pistols at III Arms. We need to begin a series of serious conversations related to the Citadel at the blog.
The Steering Committee has taken the decision to suspend the private forum for applicants and Founders and move our primary venue of discourse to the III Citadel Blog. We have taken the blog private - if you are a III Arms Founder or Citadel Applicant (either pending or approved applicant) simply email VJ@IIICitadel.com for access to the blog. Round Two of Applicant questions are live at the blog. I will be posting over there later today as well.
I encourage all Patriots who intend to be part of the Citadel - whether on Citadel property or simply part of the Citadel community while owning your own property in Benewah County - to watch the national political atmosphere carefully and t relocate as soon as is feasible for you and your family. Holly and I are headed that way, our new Studio is already undergoing remodeling. We hope to act as a welcoming committee for all III Patriots who come to visit or relocate, just drop us an email.
Final note, regarding the broader III: A few very generous III Patriots have dug deeply into their war chests and are providing the funding needed to launch a Washington DC-Class fundraiser which is essential to grow our war chest as an organization. The operations in our future require financial support, that is simply a reality. Because of these Patriots, we will be able to reach out and make serious gains for III Patriots.
Stay safe, Patriots.

Fighting 'hawk
So. you have added a 'hawk to your kit. It is a tool and weapon, or can be designated one or the other.
If you plan to fight with your 'hawk, just keep reality in mind. If you plan to fight a guy 'hawk against 'hawk, shoot him if possible. You are probably not going to invest the time to become a "Tomahawk Fighter", and if you think you are ever going to throw your 'hawk ala The Patriot and kill a man by sticking it in his skull or hit a moving target and sever his spine - well, you'll probably just throw your 'hawk away.
BonnieGadsden has linked a video for you to consider.
Don't box Mike Tyson, don't wrestle Royce Grace, and don't pull a knife on a real Knife Fighter. At most, if you find yourself in a CQB situation and decide to use your 'hawk, hopefully your enemy is unarmed, falling (or fallen) or otherwise outmatched by your tomahawk. Then split his skull, or bury the blade in his chest, or hack his arm before he can pull a sidearm or knife.
Just don't fall into the Egoism that many men do - "I have a Tomahawk, ergo, I am a death-eating 'hawk fighter".
There is ALWAYS someone better than you, regardless of what you are doing.

Our Framers had a choice: Abolition of Slavery or Union - they got both
Constitution as a waypoint: We could do much, much worse...
KrisAnne Hall explains for those who only bother to read the headlines, instead of think.
The Constitution ended slavery. The Constitution ended Mob Rule. The Constitution established the only piece of real estate on Earth operating under true personal Liberty. That we have let it devolve is our fault. Let's get back to an even keel before we try to "fix" it. Because what is "broken" was broken by men. Let's get rid of those men, and see where we stand.

Fight to Your Weapon Update
What I am explaining in the picture is the premise of the "Fight to your Weapon" class.
The moment the enemy grabs your wrist (as my left wrist is grabbed here) there is no need to get fancy, no need to execute any technique, whether elaborate or simple.
Just pull your pistol or knife, and kill your enemy.
I wish I had been training with my Blue Guns for this picture, I might have even said "pew, pew, pew!"
I've posted a new technique from the class at III CQB.
In a few days the passwords will be changing and only Members will have access going forward. The cost is only $8 per month, and I've got hosting fees to cover each month. Sign up! There's a PayPal link on the III CQB page.
Here's the III CQB link.
Stay safe.

Your Fighting Paradigm: Lone Wolf or Wolf Pack
There was a time when I knew any SHTF paradigm would find me operating as a Lone Wolf. All of my training since becoming an adult had been individually focused. I don't socialize. My politics and my aversion to diplomacy rule out 99.9% of everyone I meet as a possible ally. But for my wife, I planned to live and die with her, alone. If I chose to fight, I would hunt alone. That is simply where I am best. I have never trained as part of a unit.
But after a few years in this community, that paradigm has shifted, to a degree. While I still fight best alone, I am not alone. Tribe is building around me that has my back, as I have theirs. Some of us are physically moving to a place where we can literally be just minutes away from one another if needed, and if SHTF, we have one another. In addition, I have formed strong bonds with many other individuals around the country. Some of these folks have their own cells, clans or Tribes of varying size, and many of them have made it clear that if H and I show up, we will be welcomed. I have shifted from Lone Wolf to being part of a Wolf Pack - several Packs, actually.
Today I am a creature of both worlds. It is what it is. I have never trained in SUT, so in a Wolf Pack I am a liability if I try to play a position for which I am not suited. I have to choose my roles within a pack very carefully to ensure I do no harm. I can't get real SUT training now, for several reasons. Aside from reading about SUT, which is better than nothing, the reality is that as part of a "typical" Team, I am a vulnerability.
Another part of my paradigm is that I will continue to travel between Wolf Packs, as needed. I have no intention of discussing in the clear what I consider to be my true role in the North American Liberty Games, but it includes travel, shadows and it includes facilitating the goals of local Packs. That is how I am hard-wired, how I have trained and earned a living in the past, and in all humility, that's what I am best at doing.
Max Velocity understands that some people will be Lone Wolves, either by choice or circumstance. I have to agree that most people are better off not following the Lone Wolf path. Some - that's the only way you can operate. Either way, if you are a Lone Wolf, Max has taken the time to help the Lone Wolf consider some practical strategic and tactical considerations that may have been overlooked.
No matter what your role in the coming festivities may be, understand that there is no universal "Right Answer" - except that all Commies need to leave or die.
Here's Max's piece.

Ruger Scout Extreme
I know several of you have been considering the Ruger Scout in .308 - Impact Guns has an exclusive version, pictured above. Personally, I think a pistol grip is a requirement on a Scout. The stock is a bit fancier than necessary, perhaps, but that's personal taste.

Browning Hi Power Classic
**UPDATE** I rec'd an email from one of Browning's primary US Distributors - he told me that Browning has been dry for a while with the HP, and he doesn't expect much of a change for at least a year. I know this won't matter to many of you, but wanted to pass on the update.
The Browning Hi Power Classic with fixed sights and 13 rd magazine in 9mm seems to be unobtanium nationally - does anyone know why? I figure some of you who pay attention to such matters may know. I can find a few MKIII Hi Powers, but don't care for them.
Anyone know if Browning is having production issues?

And finally - this cop and I would have a serious fucking problem. Not here, not now with an AR pointed at me and his fat buddy on my flank. But I would get his name, and we would talk about this behavior at a time and place of my choosing.
Here's the link to PoliceStateUSA.
You live as you choose, folks. Me, I have a serious problem with people pointing weapons at me. I have a long memory about some things. I believe in revenge.
If you are a parent and one of your kids was in that middle picture, you should be hunting at night.
Coexist? No. That option is off the table. We see with our own eyes how these people will behave given the chance. They are a danger to the species. They need to go.

Your Fighting Team
We've got SF vets here in our community, who are goldmines of information for we accountants, plumbers, automobile mechanics, yacht captains and others who self-identify as III Patriots, and who believe we will soon be called upon by our Principles to stand tall in the role of the Militiaman for Liberty.
Most of you are probably aware of the SF Mission and Training, and I hope our SF Patriots will pick up on this post and correct anything I get wrong, or expand where it is needed. I am including Max V and Matt Bracken in this as they have highly advanced training that, while not precisely fitted to the US Army SF Mission, at least overlaps in many areas, and in other areas rises to a level that SF does not.
The US Army Special Forces, the Green Berets (one of the highest personal achievements known to Mankind, if you ask me) are the ONLY unit deliberately tasked with Unconventional Warfare (UW) as its primary reason to exist. It is a noble Profession and invaluable skillset in a world where Liberty is threatened.
The point of this post is my recommendation that all FreeFor units out there, whether formal militia or if you and your people simply identify as Tribe, consider setting up your Team based on the traditional SF Model. The traditional SF Model has been in place for a long time, because it works. SF is the only known unit that has as a primary Mission the role of going deep behind enemy lines to connect with indigenous populations who are favorably aligned to US goals, and tasked to live among them, help train them into a more efficient and proficient fighting force. Our SF Warriors are, in themselves, true Guerrilla Fighters, and their job is to train and lead farmers and blacksmiths and accountants to fight as Guerrillas. You and I will probably never earn the coveted Green Beret, but we can earn the proud title of Guerrilla Liberty Fighter.
In my mis-spent youth I hired several former SF men in the DC area to train me on some of the basics. (Soldier of Fortune at that time still allowed classified ads for Mercenaries). I learned to rock-climb and rappel from such a man. I learned much from such men.
Whether you accept it or not, the North American Liberty Games will pivot toward success or defeat based upon 2 primary factors: The success of American Guerrilla Liberty Fighters, and the success of Americans who are willing to do the Hardest Things, the tasks that cannot be tracked back to the Guerrillas, Militias, Tribes - tasks that may send the practitioner to Hell. So be it.
The typical SF Unit is comprised of 12 Warriors. Commander, #2, Ops sergeant, 1 Asst Ops Sergeant tasked with Intelligence Ops, 2 Weapons Sergeants, 2 Comms Sergeants, 2 Medical Sergeants and 2 engineering Sergeants. If needed, the team can be divided into separate operating cells of 6 each.
Here's a good summary, the link is here and has more details:
ODA - Composition
ODAs are made up of 12 men, each with a separate Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). Each ODA member is cross-trained in other specialties. A typical 12-man ODA comprises:- 1 x Detachment Commander (18A)
(Captain)
The Commander is the team leader and is responsible for outfitting his ODA, organizing missions and briefing the unit on mission objectives. - 1 x Assistant Detachment Commander (180A)
(Warrant Officer 1 or Chief Warrant Officer 2)
The Assistant Detachment Commander assists the ODA's Commander, ready to take over command if needed. If the ODA splits into two teams, as happened in Gulf War I, then the 180A commands the second team. - 1 x Operations Sergeant (18Z)
(Master Sergeant)
The Operations Sergeant is responsible for the overall organization, functionality and training of an SF team. He makes sure the team is outfitted correctly and supports the ODA commander (18A). - 1 x Assistant Operations and Intelligence Sergeant (18F)
(Sergeant First Class)
This team member ensures that the team has all the equipment and supplies needed for the mission. He also gathers and analyzes mission-critical intelligence. - 2 x Weapons Sergeants (18B)
(Sergeant First Class / Sergeant)
Weapons Sergeants are experts in a wide range of U.S. and foreign weapons systems, from pistols and to light artillery and anti-aircraft guns/ - 2 x Communications Sergeants (18E)
(Sergeant First Class / Sergeant)
SF Communications Sergeants are proficient in the gamut of radio communications equipment and techniques used in the field, everything from Morse code to encrypted satellite transmissions and IT technology. - 2 x Medical Sergeants (18D)
(Sergeant First Class / Sergeant)
Special Forces Medics are first-class battlefield trauma medical technicians as well as being proficient in more general medical care. The ability of SF medics to treat the medical problems of local populations is a valuable component of counter insurgency 'hearts and minds' operations. - 2 x Engineering Sergeants (18C)
(Sergeant First Class / Sergeant)
The Engineering Sergeants are the guys you go to when you want something built or destroyed. They are experts in explosive demolitions and can blow bridges, buildings and other structures to kingdom come. SF Engineers are also proficient in military and civil construction and can carry out a range of projects from fortifications to civil engineering tasks such as digging wells or building a schoolhouse.
A Special Forces Communications Sergeant operating a vehicle-mounted radio
You and your guys will never be equal to an active duty SF Team. That is NOT the yardstick to be used, anyway. When Mosby or Max or Dan Morgan or Sparks show up and assess your Team, impress them as much as possible not by staging a good inspection - but by being a good, well-rounded, dedicated Team.
If you are lucky enough to have enough manpower to build 2 or more Teams, do it! Consider a rank system if you think it will help morale and cohesion in your unit. Forge the Mission around the goal of Liberty. Get into specialty training (as does SF for some Teams) such as, SCUBA if you live in an AO where SCUBA may be needed, piloting aircraft, et cetera.
My point is this: You have decided that some form of methodical, savage violence will be required if you are to have a chance at survival, and if Liberty is to have that same chance. Use a unit Model that works, that has proven itself. It is military in flavor (even if implemented by mere Militiamen), so run it in a military fashion. Personally, I think rank is a motivator in such circumstances, as are medals and tabs that recognize Members for specific tasks or qualifications.
The SF basic Model covers all of the militarily fundamentals. It can work for you.
Let's not re-invent the wheel, there is no need. By the same token, the concept of Leaderless Resistance is a wonderful concept - as long as it is kept within suitable constraints. If you are the boss, you make the calls, and they had better f'n be followed. If your Team doesn't like you as Commander - respect their wishes and step aside. You can stay within the unit where you fit, or you may leave - but fighting within units is a fundamental and absolute FAIL.
Personally, I would NOT allow any of your Team to wear any SF/SEAL/Para-Rescue/Recon, badges/pins/shirts, et cetera, from any of our military units. You did not earn those identifiers. If you do choose to add rank to your unit, I see no problem using traditional rank insignia.
Read the article, here. I also linked the wiki page.
Think about it.

The General that I pray soon holds a Gadsden Flag for you and me
The following list of quotes from General Mattis was sent by a fellow Patriot.
It is my sincere hope this former Marine General is willing in the near future to be a man to hold the Gadsden Flag and declare that Restoration is his goal. If he does, I will go where he says to go, and I will do what he says to do. And I know many of you will do the same.
Anyone out there with access to this man, your Duty is to reach out and ask him to step into the fight for Liberty.
Here are his quotes:
1. "I don't lose any sleep at night over the potential for failure. I cannot even spell the word."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
2. "The first time you blow someone away is not an insignificant event. That said, there are some assholes in the world that just need to be shot."
(Business Insider)
3. "I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you screw with me, I'll kill you all."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
4. "Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they're so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
5. "Marines don't know how to spell the word defeat."
(Business Insider)
6. "Be polite, be professional but have a plan to kill everybody you meet."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
7. "The most important six inches on the battlefield is between your ears."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
8. "You are part of the world's most feared and trusted force. Engage your brain before you engage your weapon."
(Mattis' Letter To 1st Marine Division)
9. "There are hunters and there are victims. By your discipline, cunning, obedience and alertness, you will decide if you are a hunter or a victim."
(Business Insider)
10. "No war is over until the enemy says it's over. We may think it over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote."
(Defense News)
11. "There is nothing better than getting shot at and missed. It's really great."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
12. "You cannot allow any of your people to avoid the brutal facts. If they start living in a dream world, it's going to be bad."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
13. "You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually it's quite fun to fight them, you know. It's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up there with you. I like brawling."
(CNN)
14. "I'm going to plead with you, do not cross us. Because if you do, the survivors will write about what we do here for 10,000 years."
(San Diego Union Tribune)
15. "Demonstrate to the world there is 'No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy' than a U.S. Marine."
(Mattis' Letter To 1st Marine Division)

Yes, we need Providence.
And we need a General Mattis.
