That little square of velcro on the top of the Tactical Cap...


My understanding is the little 1 x 1 tab is for an IR tab so buddies can keep track of one another through night vision.

Being empty annoyed me to no end - so I had 1 x 1 III tabs made for that spot.  By the way, I also found you can buy short-term IR spray - so you can actually mark it IR that will last usually about 24 hours or so.

Anyway,  I'll start offering the tabs soon.

TOC: Comms


My sincerest thanks to Sparks, our own Paul L. from the III Chaplain Corps (who is also a Comms guy), Tone and so many others of you who have been helping me wade through the wants and needs for the TOC.  I make no secret about it - Comms has never been a skill I even toyed with as a hobby, much less applied professional energy into as many of our III have done.  My thanks to everyone who has donated already beyond the Comms.  By the time we are done, we'll have the baddest, most capable TOC outside of the service.

This post from Sparks goes even further and talks about how to integrate Listening Posts along with the TOC, a critical piece of information I did not have.  When it comes to Comms and you guys are helping me out, please remember: I don't even know what I don't know.  So I need you to really dumb it down for me.  ;)

Thanks to all of you - with your help I've got a semi-decent handle on what we must have, and what we'd like to have.  And so many across the country have volunteered to assist in any manner we need - from relaying HAM signals to manning Comms stations if we land in their AO.  We've done a very good job of weeding out the bad players in our part of the Liberty Movement.  You've done that work.  Good on you.

Soon the III Percent Society will begin to prioritize and purchase gear for the TOC so we can begin to deploy.  We may not have all our wants, but we'll have enough of our needs to make a difference.  So now I ask: Do we have any III Patriots who have access to wholesale prices for Comms gear?  You can write me privately if you don't want such info going into the clear where your boss might see it.  Kerodin@kerodin.com

Remember, wherever we deploy our Primary Mission is to gather the Truth and deliver that audio, video and interviews from Ground Zero to our web allies who will disseminate that information.  We're going to short-circuit MSM spin by gathering the data, and sending it straight to you - real-time whenever possible.

The Feds in "Riot Gear" headed to the border are NOT headed there to confront the illegals.  They are going to point their weapons at you.  Our best response right now is to broadcast that abuse of power to every American household, to let them see the truth about the men and women in their government.

The Border: My Last Word


So, some "Patriots" and "Militia" are kitting up and heading to the border.

Here is my warning, and if you get your feelings hurt, maybe you'll pause long enough to think: If you are headed to the southwest border "...to do something..." or to "...protect our sovereignty..." or some such, and you are going armed, then listen very carefully: You are just begging to step on your dick and cross into some malum in se mistake that will stain your Soul for all eternity.

If you do not hurt someone, someone wearing USG uniforms will possibly be forced to hurt you in defense of some south of the border refugee, or you will hurt the USG triggerman in your own "defense".

The switch that controls the gate along the southwest border is in Washington DC.  It is not to be found in Texas, NM, AZ, or Cali.

If you are a "Patriot" and headed to the southwest, are you ready to murder those "invaders"?  Are you going to shoot those Border Agents who are changing diapers?

You have no legitimate fight on the border.  You have no legitimate authority to fight on the border.

If you insist on going, so be it.  The Patriot gene pool needs a cleansing as well.  We need people who understand where the real enemies are located, who are smart enough not to engage to Sparklies and waste energy.

Do nothing that does not degrade the will or the ability of the true enemy to fight.

Request for real-world experience

 
I asked a few days ago about the Oshkosh above, several of you who have direct personal experience with the Oshkosh shared some of its weak spots.  I thank you all.

So now I'll ask a more general question.

The Mission: The ability to safely move between 4 and 12 fighters across seriously rough terrain (assuming even secondary roads are no-go).  The vehicle must be safe from small arms fire to .308, and if possible up to .50 BMG.  The vehicle does NOT need to be mine-resistant.  Once the vehicle gets clear of enemy operators, it must be able to hit highway speeds (I'll be able to settle for 55mph if necessary.)  Compatibility/inter-operability of parts is a major plus, but not a deal-breaker.  I'm assuming most options will be diesel, but dual fuel is cool.

I don't care if the vehicle you most recommend seats 4 our up to 12 - juat tell me the best.  If a 4-man vehicle is best, I'll just make multiple trips.

Search your memories, don't hesitate to suggest a good vehicle from Europe if you think it satisfies the mission best.  List it's strengths as well as its weaknesses.

If I need to get down III Mountain, through possibly some small arms fire), hit the highway, pick you up, and get home safely using paved roads, dirt/gravel roads, old timber trails, perhaps making our own road here and there - what would you recommend?

Another solid Patriot suggests looking at up-armored M35A2's.

Any first-hand experience you have with the vehicles is a plus.

New Immigration Page above

Mexican land in 1848

In 1848 Mexico ceded by treaty what is today most of our southwest.

Seems they want it back, and our current .gov is helping secure that outcome.

We all know how .gov plays with numbers.  They claim 300,000 people have crossed the border since April.  That probably translates to nearly a million.

My wife and I went to watch fireworks last night.  I grew up for quite a while in this neighborhood.  DC has always been cosmopolitan, but until the last 10 years, newcomers to America found it prideful to assimilate.  They took pride that their children could speak English in school.  I know, because 35 years ago I sat in those same classrooms.

Now it is different.

Last night at the fairgrounds where they hosted the fireworks, it was an ESL zone.  The local Walmart is the same.  ESL = English as a Second Language.

If you think you can help close the border by going to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or Cali, you are wrong.  You are a grain of sand on a beach.

Our southwestern border gets shut down only by the switch in Washington DC.

By the way, that is also how you end Social Security, foreign wars, and GMO.

TOC: Fifth Estate Comms


One of our most dedicated III Patriots who walks-the-walk is a Comms guy as well.

I asked him if he would take the time to put together his ideal Comms package (a starting point) for ensuring the TOC is able to succeed its Primary Mission: Capture the Truth at scenes of Government abuse and then get that information - audio, video and interviews - out to our allies across the web, on HAM, FB, Twitter, etc, who are brave enough to put that raw information online.  The key is to collect a lot of data, and get it disseminated most ricky-tick from as many online venues as possible.

We know there is no such thing as Comms security unless you go old-school Cold War.  We know many armed bureaucrats - such as BLM potential murderers - can enlist the aid of Signals Experts (like guys in cubicles in a certain base in Maryland) and compromise anything and everything.  With that knowledge, all we can do as we execute our TOC mission is put redundancy into our systems with the best defenses available - from satellite direct feeds to III Patriots on a Honda 900 moving 20 miles from Ground Zero to deliver a flash drive of information.

This venture is not inexpensive, Patriots.  We need members, that will eventually bring us not only access to power politics, but also desperately-needed revenue.  Get your brother, mother and hunting buddies to join us and help.  "...shall not be infringed..." - is sacred to us.  Obeying the Constitution only when it is good for your career is bullshit.  We are not NRA or Oathkeepers.

The Comm trailer in the picture above is a Satellite uplink.  He suggested 3 additional Sat Uplink options across three satellites.  We can tailor encryption that takes Maryland a few minutes to crack - to buy us a bit of lead team.  He suggested several options on the trailer that make a lot of sense.

For video he suggested a good high-quality video unit: http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/product-HXRNX3/ and several Ion Pro Air 2 wifi cameras, and a multi-camera security system to make sure we have camera on the trailer at all times.  A SatPhone option is a prudent measure for select members deployed with the TOC.  And remember, the trailer offers a 1/2 mile wifi zone surrounding it for authorized users.

I'm a fan of Motorola DTR550s for Comm Tactical radios, based on articles at Signal Corp.  We'll also need radios that we can hand out to responsible Militia on-scene so we can all stay in the loop real-time.

I warned you at the beginning of the post that the Comms package for properly running the TOC is expensive.  Granted - a great majority of you have as much money in firearms and ammo.

The trailer alone starts at $28K.  Obviously, this is a goal, not something I can put on a credit card.  Nor am I going to try to raise money for it via donations. 

I'm going to ask you to join the III Percent Society of America, and get your buddies and family to join.

The III Percent Society has a Mission.  We have a Mandate.  We need Members. We need you to show up when we are in your AO to help.

238 Years Ago


As you can see Swag is beginning to arrive.

The oval shoulder patch is 4.5" x 3.5", Velcro backing.  That's III Society gear.

You'll see 3 lapel pins.  The polished brass and the brass/black pins are also exclusively for III Society members.  There's also an all-black that we'll sell through IIIGear for the TOC.

The new III patches on the left are 3x2 - perfect for your tactical caps,  The sand/coyote is the first non-OD I've purchased for IIIGear.  So, you've probably guessed we'll be stocking several items in sand from Condor.  I personally have 2 Condor 163 sling bags used as Go Bags in sand, and now a few tactical caps.

Why?  Why worry about IIIGear and a new III organization?  Why bother with a lapel pin or patch?

TOC: Fundraiser Weekend

On this very special weekend marking the 238 years since our Declaration of Independence, and because you and I have been tasked by History to defend that document, I am going to offer three special items to raise funds for the TOC.

III Militia - Let the world know we stand with our allies


If you are a member of an Organized Militia -- a group that trains and conducts operations in your AO, from recon to disaster relief -- you are the living embodiment of our Founders.

If you are not part of an Organized unit, you are part of the Unorganized Militia.  Personally I do not draw distinctions between men, women, teens, or octogenarians - if you can pick up a rifle, you are part of the Unorganized Militia and you, too, are the living embodiment of our Founders.

Further, if you are part of the unorganized Militia and find yourself in the middle of a battle, without a "militia" identifier on you, as far as FedGov is concerned, you are a criminal, an armed combatant.

It was at Brock's in discussions with Sandman, Colonel Yingling, and his XO that the notion for a III Militia patch took form.  First, if you are Militia, wearing a III Militia patch tells the world you've got our backs.  Second, if you are a member of the unorganized Militia, it tells the Organized folks we support them and have their backs.  It is also a means of identifying yourself on any battlefield.

I had a few hundred made up.  They are OD/Black, 1" x 4" tabs, with Velcro backing.  They fit perfectly on the back of your tactical cap.  They should live on several pieces of your gear.  And, of course, every patch you purchase helps us do more for the TOC.

TOC Vendors


Someone mentioned overhead bins, such as they have in airplanes.  Anyone have a source designed specifically for buses?

I get "American Van" catalog from when I was outfitting my service vans.  Very little in that catalog will translate ideally to the TOC - so if anyone can point me to a few websites that have interior modules, pre-formed interior pieces for a bus, please send them my way.  I know some stuff, especially control panels, will have to be custom.

We've got Jim Miller who will help us mark control panel fronts, etc.

I could also use a crash course from some of you about shock protection of Comms equipment, placement of antennas (someone mentioned that some antennas should be on the bus, some inside the bus, and some well-removed from the bus.

Remember, the TOC will be the "face" of the III Percent Society in our opening months.  It will earn media attention, and we KNOW .gov Intel will use that open source reporting to gauge our capabilities and establish countermeasures.  So, should we have some doors that come down and cover certain pieces of electronics when media comes through. so they don't know we have X or Y widgets?

So, most important - can you point me to a few vendors who sell cabinets and such we could use.

Kill 'em dead...


 
There is a technique I teach in my CQB: Fight to Your Weapon class that I call the "reverse guillotine."

I never let my students practice the technique; it is too easy to break the other person's neck. I merely show the technique using H as my partner.

The movie Non-Stop is on with Liam Neeson.  The wife and I are winding down for the evening.  At minute 29 you see "that" technique in action, very well demonstrated, very realistic.  Liam Neeson's character must use it to defend himself.  You will notice he is in absolute control.  He allows the bad guy to actually pick up his gun and start moving the muzzle -- that's how "in control" Neeson's character is in such a position.

Watch it.

If you practice it, do so GENTLY.  As I always say to my students: "Some mistakes you get to make only once."

It is easy to get your enemy there.  It is easy to break his neck.  He dies silently.  Don't ask me how I know.
