The III Percent Mission Statement: Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will

2A was the result of a settled argument more than 200 years ago...
“We have a long tradition of gun rights and gun ownership in this country. The Second Amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court to mean the people have the right to bear arms. There are a lot of law-abiding, responsible gun owners who use it for protection or sport. They handle their weapons properly. There are traditions of families passing down [hunting] from father to son, or daughter … and that is important; that’s part of who we are. But...
But.
Everything before the word "but" is going to be dismissed by the speaker.
The above quote is from our President, just a few days ago.
Fundamental Transformation.
He means it. And he is just getting warmed-up.
We have all been fairly warned.

Two LEO Shot Outside Ferguson PD
Is DoJ's recent report a Green Light for some people to begin hunting LEO - perhaps with the wink-wink-nudge that prosecutions for shooting "Racist LEO" will be unlikely? Certainly not applicable to all Americans - but will the FSA get a pass from DoJ?
Story is linked at RLR, here.

The Strategic Value of Unknowns
Here is a Hard Truth: There were as many armed Patriots at the last NC PatCon I attended as were at the Foley Building in Spokane.
Let that sink in for a moment.
That is not a dig at the Washington Patriots - hell, I have been to Patriot events all over the country like Foley where turnout has been consistently pathetic. But for the righteous indignation that was the motivator for Foley, and for a "Patriot Leader" who has been in the mix "...since the 90's...", to draw a crowd of 60 or so Patriots is not a win, using that narrow metric. It is also a major telegraph to the Enemies of Liberty about capabilities, quality of Leadership and intent. That is inside information you would not share with most allies - why broadcast it to your enemies while standing in a concrete canyon with reticles on your foreheads?
The average III Patriot who will go to the Green is not the kind of person who is inclined to attend political rallies or events, especially when the Mission Objective is just to bitch and complain, and especially when most of us have become convinced that such political remedies are not feasible.
Most hard Patriots I know will show up when it is real, when there is an actual, defined task to be performed - like opening Memorials. That event brought together far more than people who self-identify as III - there were OathKeepers, bikers, Vets, Tea Partiers, and more.
The average III Patriot simply is not going to go and rah-rah in a circle-jerk.
Private events in the Patriot community are far more appealing to III Patriots. The enduring success of Brock's NC PatCon is testament. And the general chatter at such events is not bitching and whining - but planning, training and networking. These are people who intend to go to work when there is work to be done and when that work has a reasonable chance of being successfully completed.
Bill Nye held the first PatCon. Local, Local, Local was the cry, and it works. It works in every community I have been where it has been tried. And here is the most important point: Such events do not openly broadcast capabilities, leadership quality, intent, strengths, weaknesses, et cetera - instead, such events create unknowns for the Enemies of Liberty.
If we are indeed in the final historical moments of quiet before Americans begin hurting one another, telegraphing all your Tribe/Team business is not prudent, certainly not in public where head-counts are easy and all of your people are in a concrete canyon. Unless you want to be the next Boston Massacre...
Let's not ask our Militia allies to put themselves in danger for the benefit of a weak public political display, when they are our Minutemen who are properly reserved for ensuring LEO doesn't have the best seat in the house when things get real.
As a community, let's consider the value of unknowns. Let's consider the ROI of public displays of discontent where our numbers do not match the day shift of the Mayberry LEO shop.

The 'Gun Ownership Declining' Fuss
So a recent GSS report indicates that gun ownership is declining, in terms of the net number of people who own guns, versus the number of guns owned per person.
I am watching several media outlets and "Citizen Journalists", and even NSSF, trying to run the hey-they-can't-disprove-a-negative argument that, perhaps, people are buying but not talking about it. While that is certainly possible, let's be intellectually honest and answer the question like adults.
First - lying about the numbers for our side is a bad idea. Trying to spin too much is a bad idea. If you think .Gov is not tracking and quantifying NICS data and counting the number of first-time buyers versus repeat-buyers, you are not being realistic. That sort of data is crucial to Enemies of Liberty, and to think they are not secret-squirreling it away in a dark little server room for analysis is just naive.
Now use your own eyes and ears. How many people in your own family and circle of friends are first-time gunners? When you look at your own family, start with your grandfather's generation, compare it to yours, and the younger - how significant is the attrition rate within your own bloodlines? I know in my family, my sister does not teach her kids, as she was taught. (My sister is a much better shot than I ever was, for the record.) All of my nieces and nephews are gun-free, by parental choice. And I come from a family of gunners. So imagine what the average family of non-gunners looks like. Numbers can be manipulated, but trends tend to trend.
Let's not lie to ourselves. Lying to ourselves is the worst form of self-abuse and delusion - and it will lead us to take bad decisions. The overall number of gun owners in America is probably declining at a much faster rate that any of us would like. Many of us have made the observation, for years, that all the anti's have to do is wait a generation or three and all their 2A woes will be over.
But - the overall number of first-time gun owners is not relevant the III Percent.
Most of us will be dead in 30 years and the world will belong to others. III Patriots intend to leave the world a better place - so we do not need to worry about 30-50-year trend lines if we are sincere about fixing as much as we can fix before our personal expiration dates. Let us not worry with arguing points that are immaterial to the fight for Liberty - let us not conduct ourselves worrying about "the optics" of a declining 2A pool.
Afterall, are we not the bleach that will clean that pool?
Let us worry about identifying the III Patriots we don't yet know and bringing them into our circles.
We do not need millions of Patriots who are willing to go to the Green for Liberty. We do not need the approval of millions of fellow Countrymen who are not gunners. We do not need permission from anyone to do our work of securing as much Liberty as possible for posterity. Too many of our Countrymen who came before us have failed to do their civic duty of keeping Evil Men off the controls of society. The only reason you and I should care about 30-50-year 2A ownership trends is if we intend to neglect our duty as well.
I'm not that guy.

Lodging Options & Other Updates for Idaho PatCon 2015
Miss Violet has compiled a listing of places to stay in St Maries. You'll find the list with links and contact information on the LODGING Page at the Idaho PatCon Blog.
There is a motel in town center near the county fairgrounds, an Inn or two, and a number of B&B options.
If you are even thinking about attending our Idaho PatCon in July -- but prefer not to camp on the mountain -- make reservations ASAP. This area is a popular outdoor destination. July is peak season for summertime vacationers.
H has also linked her first music video at the PatCon site. Hint: I'm told archery will be among the many planned activities. But there is also a deeper message, no doubt, given the choice of video.
H & Miss Violet are still spooling up. In due time, there will be a PatCon ACTIVITIES Page.

A moment of Reality, if I may...
While I am nearly despondent that I may somehow be responsible for pointing out the turd in the punchbowl of the many victory dances taking place now that OpFor has been thoroughly trounced...
You (and I) are not the first rodeo for FedGov dealing with domestic "problems".
White Hate.
Outlaw Bikers.
90's Militia.
War on Drugs.
War on Crime.
Vietnam Protestors.
Black Hate.
Tax Challengers.
Five Families.
Rum Runners.
Those pesky Rebs from south of the Mason-Dixon.
Those pesky redskins of the non-NFL variety.
FedGov has been sharpening knives against real problems since FedGov came into existence and was hijacked by Evil men.
The only reason we did not all die (and those of us on the ground know it) over Barry-cades, and the only reason every Patriot at Bundy did not die in the desert, and why every Patriot at the Foley Building did not die in that concrete canyon that is the plaza is very simple - the Evil men in command have not yet chosen to unleash Hell.
Dance if you will. Think the forces of Evil are intimidated, if you will. Delude yourself, if you will.
Here are two very brutal realities:
One: The Enemies of Liberty believe they have the physical means to crush Liberty at their whim.
Two:The Enemies of Liberty will act on that belief, when they choose to act.
On that day, Patriots will be slaughtered.
What happens on the next day is the only current unknown.
If you consider yourself a Patriot, you'd better be living every moment as if you expect to be Target Zero on D-Day at H-Hour.
If you make it to Day Two - Godspeed.
They mean to have a war.
They are not afraid. They are insulated by the same arrogance that permits Patriots to believe FedGov is afraid. The Evil Men will only know fear when they understand they were wrong in their first assumption.
If they are wrong...

An Open Reminder to Every American .Mil & LEO
I included you LEO for one simple reason - you are the ones who are now, and will primarily be, tasked with executing the will of the Enemies of Liberty. It is not your job to kill them - but it is most definitely your job to refuse unconstitutional orders and to arrest the motherfuckers giving you such orders.
Do your damned jobs - so we don't have to do it ourselves. If you make us do it, if you make us defend ourselves, you will not like it.

Sparks31: Location
There's going to be a fight.
Let's win.
Where you choose to stand your ground will be a major factor in determining whether you perish, survive or prevail.
Choose wisely.
Sparks31 discusses the topic, here. And when he says the Western Redoubt is different from what you know, especially if you are an Easterner - he is not offering a simple caution. Everything is different here - most of those differences are in the "It's a Good Thing" column, and some are just "different". Do not come here unless you are truly of a self-sufficient mindset.
But getting off the lines of attack is simply prudent, wherever you choose to meet the Evil which this way comes.

Thanks to all Patriots who have been sending links.
Admin note: Given the cycles of the 'net and life, RLR (RightfulLibertyReport) will slow down over the weekends, with fewer updates, except for important/breaking stories. You'll notice we have been keeping older stories up longer than many sites, to make it easier to connect the dots for readers as a story evolves over a week or two - such as the Russia/NATO ruckus.

Patriot Events: Graduate Level
OK - there is a LOT I can tell you about Clifton Street, NW DC. I won't. But I could.
But what you really need to know is this: ATVs in downtown DC are not normal. I mean - not normal = It doesn't flippin' happen. I doubt if 40 ATVs are even registered in all of DC.
And 40 ATVs on Clifton Street - I can promise you not one White Guy was within miles. And I would bet my favorite woobie - checking Titles will NOT reflect the names of the actual riders.
Yet - a DC LEO was about to write a ticket to a gal who was "ABOUT" to drive her ATV on the street - and she instantly had a Posse of 40 MORE ATVs ON HER FLANK AND RUNNING LEO OUT OF DODGE.
THAT'S how you run a Liberty Event, my friends.

So - you leaving the porch, Scooter?
**UPDATE** A full 75% of a very small sample of Patriots say they will leave the porch if the Washington State Patriots begin getting SWAT'd. Most say they will operate in their own, hometown AOs, rather than travel to Washington - which is prudent.
Whatever you decide, under whatever circumstances present - Godspeed.

Several reports, being picked-up breathlessly by some *writers* in the Liberty Movement, suggest arrests are imminent for those who carried recently at the FedGov plaza in Spokane.
OK - let's play "What if..."
What if...
...FedGov (or State Gov) arrests members (some or all) of Liberty for All and those acting in their interests. Are you leaving the porch to either go to Washington State, or to do some work in your AO? Real work, of the -*ahem* - not one more inch/100 Heads variety.
Hey, it's the "What if..." game. Play along. It's Monday and I'm bored.
So - is this one of your lines in the sand - or do you wish the folks in Washington Godspeed and following seas...

Patriot Events 101
Take no action that does not degrade the capability or the will of the enemy to wage war. - K
If you are thinking about hosting any Patriot Event, or attending any event, please consider my counsel above. Think about it. Heed it. Apply it.
If you are considering the investment of any precious resources into an event (and credibility IS A RESOURCE YOU CAN LOSE!), especially an event that confronts and/or challenges OpFor, there are a few fundamentals that you MUST ensure.
First Rule: If you do not have a simple, easily articulated and attainable goal that will define "Victory" for the event, either find one or do not move forward.
When you set out to take Vienna - TAKE VIENNA!
Taking no action is better than a defeat at this stage of the fight for Liberty. Make certain that no matter what happens, you can claim a victory - or DO NOT move forward.
If you look at the first two engagements of RevWarIII you will see the First Rule on full display. On the National Mall when FedGov closed the Memorials, Patriots went into town with a simple goal: Open the Memorials. It was clear. It was easily articulated. It was attainable. It would be easy for all to see if it was a win or a loss. Not only was it attainable, Patriots positioned themselves prior to D-Day (Sun Tzu called it 'Laying the Ground') in such a manner that they could not lose. If Patriots opened the Memorials, they won. If Patriots were shot by FedGov for attempting to open Memorials, the tyranny would be on full display for every single American, looped 24/7 on every news outlet in the country. At the end of the day, FedGov would either look weak, or they would be murderers.
Patriots won the day. Not only did they open the Memorials, a blogger you know well and is linked on this page, raised the call "To the White House!" - and Patriots (including iconic images of young girls and disabled vets on Segways carrying Barry-cades) responded by picking up those Barry-cades and walked the several blocks to the White House and they were "Returned to Sender." That blogger took what was a win and turned it into an EPIC win - an un-spinnable humiliation for OpFor.
The second engagement of RevWarIII was Bundy. Despite the ClusterFoxtrot that followed-on, the first waves of Patriots arrived with a single goal - prevent the Bundy family from being murdered or arrested by FedGov. Patriots on overwatch are images we all remember. Patriots achieved their primary mission. Then, like taking fence sections to the White House, Patriots at Bundy saw another attainable win, and went for it. They demanded something that wounded FedGov deeply - they demanded that the man get his cattle released. We all remember that wash under the bridge, with Patriots on horseback (and overwatch) when OpFor endured the humiliation of turning the cattle loose, back to the owner.
Epic, undeniable win. Patriots with rifles owned the high-ground, not OpFor snipers.
But in both cases, "Victory" was clearly defined and attainable. Without a mission goal, how can you measure success? How can you claim even a propaganda win if nobody explains what a win looks like? How can you stop OpFor spin-masters from claiming you were defeated, if you have not defined a win?
Rule Two: Do No Harm to the Liberty Movement. I am going to use the State Capitol event in Washington last month to articulate this Rule - because the failure was one of Leadership, not the troops. Try to read this as critical analysis - not bashing. If you were there, stay out of your emotions and objectively consider the words that follow. I don't care if you don't "like" me. But I will not be remembered as a Patriot who failed to do Hard Things or tell Hard Truths. I'm not that guy.
If you have an event with the stated goal of entering an OpFor stronghold - such as a state capitol building - and the stated mission is to enter the Legislature Viewing Gallery while armed, and you let two old, wooden, locked doors stop you - you did NOT achieve a win as defined in the First Rule and your own mission parameters. WTF - not one person in the group could pick a flippin' old lock on an old wooden door? Not one person in the group knows how to do a fireman's kick to get into a room?
The "Leader" of the event did not take responsibility for moving the mission to success - and it is that simple. Fail. The Commander's Intent was not realized because the Commander lacked the courage to direct a young, strong lad to kick the doors open or to tell a crafty ally to pick the lock, or to do it himself. Refer back to Rule One - set a goal you can obtain, and are willing to obtain - or DO NOT MOVE FORWARD.
Most of you know of the raging debate between advocates of Open-Carry tactics of protest and those who think Open Carry is too "in-your-face". I believe in Open Carry because I believe in the Constitution. But if you are being intellectually honest, when you see a failure like the one displayed when 50+ armed Patriots were thwarted by an unguarded set of old wooden doors, you have to admit the folks cautioning against Open Carry protests are not entirely wrong. Those optics were just bad for us.
While your allies will help you spin a win in AARs, our enemies understand the reality - not one person, armed and with 50 or so allies - would break a rule and open an unguarded, old wooden door to reach their stated goal. That is a Fail of will, of determination, of courage of Leadership. The real damage to the Liberty Movement is much deeper than the perceived benefit of a smoke and mirrors "Spin-Win". Talk is cheap. Opera non verba.
Next time, if you are one of the Patriots in the mix, take point when you see "Leadership" faltering. Take responsibility. Step up. Get those doors open and take a picture with the gavel in your hand. "Leaderless Resistance" means something - it means you have as much right to take point and get the mission accomplished as anyone else. And sometimes, if you don't do it, it won't get done. Do not let the mission fail if you have what it takes to get it done.
Rule Three: As suggested by an ally, I will simply direct you to Rodger's Rules: Tell the truth about what you see and what you do. There is an army depending on us for correct information. You can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the rangers, but don’t never lie to a ranger or officer.
Rule Four: Keep your Ego out of the mix. This ain't no fuckin' game. Say what you've got to say, to whoever the fuck needs to hear it, then move on. If they get lost in their emotions, you need to decide if that person is worthy of your continued trust. This is an Adults-Only caper. If you intend to participate in rallies and protests in this phase of the counter-revolution, when SUT will not decide a win from a loss, you must play smart.
When you move, the eyes of a nation are upon you. The eyes of like-minded people are on you, judging your mettle, your intellect, your veracity, your commitment. Some people will get off the fence - or stay on it - based on what they watch you do. The eyes of the Enemies of Liberty are on you, and WILL BE EXAMINED in training classes across LEO shops from sea to shining sea.
Battles are usually won or lost long before first contact.

Spokane AAR
The Spokane protest came and went without a replay of March 5, 1770.
The Miltia in attendance looked sharp, and professional. They played an important role.
There was no conflict, were no arrests, and no drama. DHS informed the protesters where they were permitted to be, and the protest happened on the X.
I had trusted Tribe members on-scene who met several Patriots through the event, and paid close attention. Sixty or so Patriots mustered. FedGov Riflemen on overwatch. I arrived after a circuitous recon, and found a scene that I have seen time and again at Patriot events across the country. Calm and respectful Patriots exercising Rights.
There was no trash on the grounds when the event was over.
To those who took the time and energy to attend, to stand - good on you.
We'll post more pictures this evening.
