This morning in Columbia South Carolina the Battle Flag from the State Capitol Grounds was taken down as people cheered and mocked. Nearly 13,000 South Carolina men died during the Civil War beneath that flag. Today, six men with nothing but sidearms took it down, and were not even heckled.
The people who wanted the Battle Flag and all it represents cleansed from our culture didn't have to kill anyone. They didn't have to raise their voices. They signed a few papers.
