Being obsessed is a mental illness. When someone becomes obsessed with you, it is unhealthy and potentially dangerous, especially if the obsessed party is mentally unhinged.
Symptoms: Escalating fixation, often to dangerous levels that include stalking of not only the target of the mental idiot's fascination, but also family and friends, hanging on every word written on a website, believing that every word written on a website is somehow directed at the obsessed person. Paranoia, schizophrenia, substance abuse - all should be taken into account if you care for the person you think may be losing his shit.

These two mental states and reflexes are the core failings to be found within the Liberty Movement. Even those who claim to be 'Awake' are usually firmly in the grasp of these two mental states. "I have a month of preps, an AK/AR that has been sufficiently Tricked & Slicked (TM) and a thousand rounds of ammo. I have the latest Glock and can hit the X during barrel drills from 21 feet. If those Storm Troopers come for me, or try to flash-bang 'MY' baby in the crib, well, I'll give 'em a dandy case of what'fer!"
That is an over-simplification for many of us - but not most.
Denial of Reality is not just a mental failing, and one that is easy to understand - it is also just plain stupid. It is stupid because it can so easily be avoided. Chaos can be navigated - if you are properly prepared and mentally disposed to the true meaning of 'Chaos'.
No man can prepare for every scenario. Even if you do, it is the nature of Chaos and our Reality that you may not survive. Many of the best-trained and experienced Warriors who ever lived are buried in graves because they caught a bullet or got a knife in the neck. Shit Happens.
You were born with an expiration date. Accept it. Get over your own insignificance and do what is necessary to give your people the best chances for survival.
Normalcy Bias and Cognitive Dissonance are at the shallow end of the pool regarding mental challenges - they face most people and most people can, if they try, navigate to safety.
Some mental challenges - genuine mental illnesses such as obsession, fixation, racism (which is a clarion call of Critical Thinking damage within essential brain centers) et cetera - disqualify some people from relevance to the Liberty Movement. We'll get to those mental illness sufferers later in these discussions.

I would add the final resolution looked like a very bad and scripted reality show.
Consider:
FedGov was sitting on that indictment of Cliven Bundy for a while.
They did NOT need to wait for him to spontaneously travel to Portland before executing the arrest. If God wants to call you home, he does NOT need to wait until you book a flight on MH-370.
Write a script in your mind from the vantage of a story teller who wants Patriots to look stupid and weak - could your script look anything like what has transpired over the last 30+ days?
Bunkerville gets wrapped up in a nice bow. FedGov ends a 'siege' in Oregon without a Waco. All of the players from both events 'answer' for their crimes against 'The Establishment'. Fsul and David Fry and many others are the final images left in the minds-eye of the public of what 'Patriots' are and represent. Visiting the 'Establishment' III/Liberty blogs will find you in the company of anti-Constitutionalists, racists, porn-peddlers and genuine psychotics.

Cliven Bundy
Our assessment was simple: This is how Civil Wars go hot.
A few news pieces offered his reasons for going - and given the state of our media (professional and citizen journalism) every assertion must be considered with a pound of salt until facts are revealed. A couple outlets suggested he was headed out with Militia. Some suggested he was headed to Malheur to help walk the remaining protesters out.
Maybe he was merely going to visit his sons in a FedGov visiting room.
We do not know.
Today there is speculation that he was arrested for conspiring in the Malheur protest. Some are speculating he is being hit with 2014 charges.
We do not know, yet.
What we know is outweighed by what we do not know. For now.
What every Patriot must now consider and revisit is the If/Then matrix. If X happens, I respond with Y.
There will always be people who talk tough and forever find reasons as to why this hill or that hill is the wrong hill upon which to stand. In many cases, those decisions are valid, even if you disagree. Some are mere cowardice - like 'Not One More Inch' followed by 'Here's my pistol, officer' at a traffic stop.
Should Florida Patriots kit-up and ride to Oregon? I think most of us would say no. Should Spokane Patriots kit-up and ride? The only difference in reasoning on that question is geography, no? Each and every Patriot must decide when, where and why...
If you believe in Local, local, local as preached by Bill Nye and accepted by most sane people in the Liberty Movement, then riding to the sound of the guns hundreds or thousands of miles away, given the reality of this fight of Rightful Liberty versus Tyranny, would be folly.
If you believe it is time to move, consider moving locally. The Patriot in Pennsylvania can support the Patriot in Oregon in many, many ways, while remaining close to home to protect Home & Hearth.
And if this simply isn't your hill? So be it.

DoJ Pivots Toward You and Me...
We've posted a story or three about this topic in recent weeks. Now Reuters chimes in as well.
(Personal note: I have dealt with Reuters personally on several occasions, beginning during my head-butting with the brand new DHS more than a decade ago - Reuters has less Intellectual Honesty than even the WN racist F*cks posing as III)
In the aftermath of Sandy Hook, when so many people were running around predicting a new AWB that would make Clinton's treason look like AA ball, and that door-to-door raiding parties were imminent, we offered the assessment that no such moves would be made on the Federal level, for many reasons. We predicted a renewed gun control push in Blue States - and that happened. We predicted and warned of a serious, well-financed bureaucratic push to dramatically broaden the 'Prohibited Persons' lists, especially using mental illness as a premise. That happened, big time. That continues even now.
What you are witnessing now with DoJ and other Marxist assets is the next phase of tangible action against their ideological enemies. The last 150-plus years of moving the country Left and laying the ground to ostracize supporters of Natural and Constitutional Rights has now reached a point, at least in the minds of most politicians, bureaucrats and their voting blocks, that large-scale physical action will be tolerated by most and cheered by a significant percentage in America.
They intend to metaphorically (and in some cases literally) begin filling the boxcars.
They are prepping for Hunting Season on you right now. They will escalate their Direct Action significantly before the winners of the next election are sworn into office.
There are people in elected office right now who want their names attached to the purge of 'Right Wing Extremists'.
Normalcy Bias may stand between you and them. In that case, you will lose - brilliantly.
