Sadly, this sniper attack does not come as a surprise after the incessant cop killer inspiring rhetoric of Black Lives Matter and similar radical leftist groups, inciting violence against all police officers while alleging that any and all shootings of black or Hispanic suspects in this nation just must be driven by racism, with condemnation and cries of "racist!" coming before any investigation has a chance to even start. And it also does not come as a surprise given the incessant Marxist mantra that America is a "racist nation" and that police serve as the weapons of that racist nation against all "people of color" - all of which serves the Marxist agenda to divide and conquer along racial lines and inspire blind hatred against all police, and against this nation in general (which is clearly successful, judging from the many photos and videos of Black Lives Matter activists standing on the American flag, burning the flag, and even wiping their rear ends with the flag, with many favorable comments and thumbs up given in support online).

And this attack shows the extreme vulnerability of police officers to sniper fire during such events. From here forward, officers would be well advised to treat all such public protests as magnets for snipers and terrorists, and take appropriate countermeasures, such as active patrolling and/or police occupation of any elevated location that may serve as a possible sniper position.

And this will cause police to want to further militarize, in their own defense, to include deployment of counter-sniper and armored vehicles. No doubt, that is what the Marxists want as well, so they can further justify their cop hating rhetoric and incitement to violence. And it will also further their agenda to trample on the right of the people to bear arms. The blame will not fall on their rhetoric and incitement, but will instead fall on gun ownership in general. The Marxists' only proposed "solution" will be to disarm the rest of us, and to insist on the nationalization of all police, bringing them under the heel of the DOJ. In other words, they will blame the victims of this attack, and innocent American gun owners, since they see both as their enemies.

Therefore, I call on all Oath Keepers, and all patriotic Americans, to come to the aid of their local police, and to the aid of their communities, and unite and coordinate in mutual defense against this orchestrated campaign of Marxist terrorism, which is the modern version of the wave of terrorism we saw in the late 60s and early 70s by the Marxist Weather Underground and related groups (who also frequently targeted police). What is now needed, more than ever, is the reestablishment of the militia of the people, trained, equipped and organized in each town, to defend against what is now clearly a "Tet Offensive" American style, as Navy SEAL veteran Matt Bracken warned.

While we work to reestablish that militia system, you must go armed at all times, and be prepared, at all times, to defend your community against these Marxist terrorists as well as their Islamist terror allies. Remember, they are in league, and you are their common enemy and their common targets.

Finally: I am surprised at just how many 'Patriots' are declaring there is no way Johnson could have done 'all that' damage by himself.  I have been around fighters my entire adult life.  I watched the way Johnson moved and engaged, then calmly paused behind cover (the pillar) as LEO rolled in, waiting for the proper moment to move - then calmly scooted around the building.

Simple analysis: He was better trained, more motivated and in better shape than the men he engaged.

Frankly - they are lucky he only killed 5...

Tactical Analysis: Dallas

Let's take the current storyline at face value: Micah Johnson was the only shooter. 

We do not know if Johnson went into action with an E&E plan or not.  If he did, it failed when he was cornered.  If not, then he went in with the understanding he was not going home again.

Until there is tangible evidence to the contrary, we'll go with it.

It is 525 feet from Lamar to Market and about 515 from Commerce to Elm.  The classic 'City Block'.  

A former soldier demonstrated proficiency with his weapon - he hit what he aimed to hit.  He demonstrated discipline and focus, in that he did not put rounds into civilians deliberately or while firing wildly.  He shot 11 LEO and killed at least 5 - that's a better than average wounded/kill ratio - 2:1.  If one looks at the score card objectively, one vet wiped the floor with Dallas PD.  He demonstrated that the definition of 'Soft Targets' must be expanded beyond shopping malls and movie theatres to include even major metro LEO shops.

If you were paying attention to the live streams, you noted how DPD deployed - primarily at intersections for a perimeter, where they huddled behind their cars.  You noted how many in uniform were in fit physical condition - and how many would have stroked out during a 100-yard dash.  You also noted how few, relatively speaking, were armed with long guns.

Had Johnson been operating with even a single ally of equal skills, it is likely they would have doubled the body count and cleared the AO.  

Had there been two Buddy Teams, four men total, the second able to Flank & Spank (TM), DPD would not have known what hit them.

Had there been a dozen shooters equal to Johnson's skill set, broken into 3-Man or 4-Man Fire Teams, DPD would have lost every man on the shift who didn't break and run...

Micah Johnson took the position that America has become a Police State and he decided to take direct action against those who directly enforce the diktats coming from on-high.  

Whether you agree with him or not is irrelevant.  It is what it is.

Mirror, meet Soul...

1) Do you believe that it is wrong to steal from another person?

2) Do you believe that the Right to arms shall not be infringed?

3) Do you believe that you own you and drug laws are wrong?

These three questions are ideal for determining the validity of a person's 'Patriot' credibility.  

The Bible addresses item 1.

The Bill of Rights addresses item 2.

The fundamental premise of individual Liberty is addressed in item 3 - who owns you.

The general definition of a Patriot is one who supports and will defend his country.

The American Patriot, and particularly the III Percent Patriot, is a different animal.  The original III Percent fought for Liberty - not a country.  The original III Percent Patriot would not blindly fight for America as it exists today - but he would fight to restore the ideal and reality of Liberty. He would fight to restore the America he helped bring into existence.

Anyone can answer affirmatively to the three questions above.  Talk is easy and cheap.

Does that person actually live his or her life according to those principles?

Does the person who answers affirmatively to item 1 participate in the Welfare State?  Does that person allow welfare into his or her home?  Every single penny of 'Entitlement' money handed out to people in America is first stolen, with the threat and promise of violence for non-compliance - in tax revenue.  Everyone who accepts a single penny of 'Entitlement' money - welfare by any other name - who has not earned it, is accepting stolen money.

Is such a person living according to the 'Thou shalt not steal' principle of Liberty?

Does the person who answers affirmatively to item 1 earn a paycheck derived from tax dollars (stolen money) and in the course of his job responsibilities either infringe or facilitate the infringement of Constitutional and Natural Rights of Americans?  If so, how is that person claiming 'Patriot' status - defined in America as a defender of individual Liberty? 

That person accepts stolen money to violate Liberty.  That person is not a Patriot.

Does the person answering affirmatively to item 2 qualify his answer with caveats such as 'I'm ok with background checks - at least for the first firearm purchase', or 'Well, I don't think everyone should be allowed to own grenades or plastique', or 'Some people in public shouldn't be allowed to own weapons'?

Either that person doesn't understand the simple definition of the word 'infringed' - or, that person doesn't truly embrace the premise.  Either way, 'Patriot' status is cancelled.

Does the person answering 'I own me' to item 3 qualify with caveats - or blatantly contradict himself - by suggesting that 'Drugs are bad, m'kay' and people should be restrained by law from ingesting X or Y?  Does he support laws against drug sellers or smugglers and agree they should lose their assets and go to prison?  Does he suggest 'I had a family member OD on X - drugs should be banned'?  Any caveats that suggest that while a person owns himself, he should not be allowed to do X or Y with his body is demonstrating, explicitly and without room for misinterpretation, that he doesn't get the concept of individual Liberty and any claim to being a III Patriot is null and void.

To take the position that abject stupidity is something one can justifiably legislate against is incompatible with Liberty.

If you consider yourself a III Patriot, take the test and apply the above 3 questions to yourself.  Answer them with brutal honesty and allow for the possibility that you may have a few notions that don't fit comfortably with your reality.  Be bold enough to identify incompatible issues and make adjustments.

After you have given yourself a thorough Intellectual Honesty check - apply the three questions to those around you who claim to be III Patriots.  You will find most people, especially in the blogosphere, fail.

Then apply the test to your family and friends, the ones you think will have your back during The Big Ugly.

Finally, apply the test to everyone in your AO to determine the extent to which your porch sweeping activities must reach.

Any man or woman claiming the status of Patriot - especially III Patriot - who violates any of the three items above, is a poser.  They are not real Patriots.  They may wear the title, but their beliefs and actions are those of the tyrant who believes he has the authority to infringe, restrict or blatantly violate the Natural and Constitutional Rights of you and anyone who disagrees with him.  By definition, these people think themselves superior to you, with a moral right to be your Master, to define how you may and may not live your life.

These are not Patriots.  We must not accept their claim to the title.

Real Patriots are obligated to pull the masks from those who would be Masters.

These are the people Patriots must extirpate.

To the Americans of the Revolution and the Founding Era, the theory of some late-20th Century courts that the Second Amendment is a “collective right” and not an “individual right” might have seemed incomprehensible. The Americans owned guns individually, in their homes. They owned guns collectively, in their town armories and powder houses. They would not allow the British to confiscate their individual arms, nor their collective arms; and when the British tried to do both, the Revolution began. The Americans used their individual arms and their collective arms to fight against the confiscation of any arms. Americans fought to provide themselves a government that would never perpetrate the abuses that had provoked the Revolution.

What are modern versions of such abuses? The reaction against the 1774 import ban for firearms and gunpowder (via a discretionary licensing law) indicates that import restrictions are unconstitutional if their purpose is to make it more difficult for Americans to possess guns. The federal Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits the import of any firearm that is not deemed “sporting” by federal regulators. That import ban seems difficult to justify based on the historical record of 1774-76.

The shenanigans with Bill and Loretta on the tarmac, and her assurances that she would accept the recommendations of the 'career' bureaucrats - did you not understand in those moments that 1) the fix was in and 2) they laughed in our collective faces about it?  They talked about the grandkids, afterall - nothing to see here...

Would our Founders approve of Modern Patriots?

We celebrate the act of defiance and separation from those who would be Masters every July 4th.

Now ask yourself: Is America 2016 the ideal that was in the minds of John Parker and his men on the Green at Lexington, or Thomas Jefferson as he penned the DoI, or the original III Percent who took arms and faced the most powerful army in the world - and their Loyalist neighbors?  

Is this why they risked everything?

We say often that 'Our Founders would be shooting by now'.  Is our modern Patriot worthy of the title?  Or are we disgustingly comfortable in our chains?  For we do indeed tolerate far more than our Founding generation would have ever considered.

As you think about our Founders, Framers and Colonials and celebrate their actions this July 4th, however you choose to do so, consider this: How many people are enjoying the day with money taken from the public purse (your money) without having earned it, or with the King's Silver for services rendered that include violating or facilitating the violation of the Constitutional and Natural Rights of your countrymen?  

How many people go to work every single day and earn a wage for helping to directly or indirectly infringe your Constitutional and Natural Rights?  Every one of them is a Traitor to the republic and directly accountable for the injuries suffered by you and me.

Are these the people for whom John Parker, his men, Mister Jefferson, the signers of the DoI and all the Colonials broke from the King?  Did they do what they did so that we, their posterity, could tolerate feeding parasites and bending knee to tyrants?

The Colonials made a mistake at the end of the war - they permitted the Loyalists to remain.

To every III Patriot: Do not make that mistake again.

Leftist diversity advocates and multiculturalists are right to argue that people of all races, religions and cultures should be equal in the eyes of the law. But their argument borders on idiocy when they argue that one set of cultural values cannot be judged superior to another and that to do so is Eurocentrism.

That's unbridled nonsense...

As with anything, how one defines X will determine its validity. Problems begin when two people choose to define X differently.

It is not simply improper to argue the general to the specific - it is an abject failure of critical thinking, an underlying flaw that corrupts all subsequent decisions based upon the flawed premise.  Example: To apply the general stereotype that Black people are uneducated, low-intellect, good at sports, prone to riot, vote Democrat, drug-slinging parasites and pre-disposed to accepting welfare based upon their skin color and observed group behaviors, and then applying that general argument to the specific case of Walter Williams will leave the accuser in an unwinnable intellectual pickle.

There is nothing wrong with 'multiculturalism' - so long as one does not drift into the weeds in what multiculturalism means.  It 'properly' means extending the same Rights and responsibilities and tolerance to every individual from any culture as you would extend to anyone else.  It means equality in the eyes of the law.  It does not mean moral equality.

The next time you find yourself about to spit disgust at X or Y, take pause and consider if you are extending the same tolerance you expect as an American.

No man or woman may infringe or violate your Natural Rights or our collective rules that are in place to provide existential protection to our republic (such as Treason).  Any person who treads on such ground should be treated equally - and stomped into a grease spot.

But not allowing a Walter Williams the same freedoms in our society as you expect - that's just a demonstration of The Stupid.

'So K - apply your argument to Muslims - gotcha!'

No.  Any man or woman who dutifully follows the teachings of the Koran takes the conscious decision to religiously seek the demise or subjugation of all non-Muslims.  Such people choose to be incompatible with our culture, values and the very existence of our republic as idealized in the DoI, USC and BoR.  

Existential threats of every flavor - Muslim, Communist or White Trash, Free Shit Army parasites, State-paid infringers and violators of Natural and Constitutional Laws, and filthy thieves who steal from the public purse - are not to be tolerated, but extirpated.

If you are fortunate, you have a majority of neighbors who agree with this concept.  If you are truly fortunate, you live in a place where a majority of your elected 'leaders' and their bureaucratic functionaries also agree with the concept.

When you live among people who share your belief that one need not ask permission to exercise a Natural Right, you are in good company.

Nine states have undisputed Constitutional Carry: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Eight states have enacted a version of the Firearms Freedom Act: Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming

Cross-reference the lists: Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Wyoming.

No state is perfect.  But if you are considering a move to a more hospitable AO from which to face the imminent challenges of the North American Liberty Games, you have your 2A short list: Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Wyoming.

Free Trade: Economics for the Low Information Dummy

The notion of 'Free Trade' is nifty.  

The reality of 'Free Trade' is like the Powerball - a tax on the mathematically illiterate.

Most readers of this blog are old enough to remember when Ross Perot warned us all about the giant sucking sound.  I listened to that statement made live - and in the years since, the giant sucking sound has become a tinnitus - ever-present in our ears as our economy was gutted.

The Citadel concept is not a brilliant and new idea.  Like-minded people moving into proximity of one another, building the ties of community, building the infrastructure needed to make the community self-sufficient and safe in all respects.  That is the same model our Founders, Framers and business leaders had for the first 175 years of the republic.  It is called common sense.

Since the 1940s American 'Leaders' have been walking away from that common sense. Today we suffer for that reality - and most of those who betrayed us live in wealth most of us simply can't comprehend.

The response by Americans?  Most simply remain in the pot as the temperature rises. There is a subset, most self-identify as 'Patriots', who screech and wring their hands, bouncing from 'let's decorate the lamp posts' to 'we can't do anything, MUST keep the 'moral high ground'.  In this inaction even these proponents of change join their countrymen in the boiling pot.  

Inaction is a course of action, folks.  Own it.

America is on a course that will end in absolute subjugation and the death of Liberty, or war of such brutality and loss of life as this world has not seen.

Since subjugation is not an option...

Globalists Panic - Rush Toward WWIII In EU Theatre

The EU has always been much more than an experiment - it was designed as the first step in a global consolidation of power that erased national borders and nationalities.  It was a plot of 'Globalists', or if you prefer, the 'New World Order' clan.

Brexit has forced their hand.  The exercise is failing and the Globalists are faced with two choices - fall back and regroup, to try again in the future - or go hard and try to accelerate their plans at a faster pace.  It would appear they Globalists have chosen the latter path.
