Rick Perry

7 ways Rick Perry would change the Constitution.

That's the title of a piece by Chris Moody.

I can agree with most of the seven points...the problem I have is that I do not put any faith in a President Perry to move forward.  It all sounds like pandering to the Right to get the nomination, then he'll tack Left for the general election.

I am not impressed with the field of Candidates we have.  Ron Paul, in my mind, would govern as he has voted through his career.  But without a House and Senate following his lead, he'd be impotent.

Looking at this field of candidates, one phrase comes to mind:

We're screwed.  There's going to be a fight.  Let's win.

Here's the column.

  2. He did the same thing in the lat Governor run here in Texas with immigration.

Campaigned hard on stopping illegals and when nut cuttin' time came after the election...He crawfished.

  3. The phrase that comes to my mind is, "if this was a country that could elect a Ron Paul, we wouldn't need Ron Paul to run".

Along the lines of the quote (I'll butcher) that, "Obama isn't the scary part. The scary part is that we have an electorate that would elect such a smooth, charming, idiot with no accomplishments and no record to run on".

That's it. I don't normally donate to political campaigns, but I went in big for Paul in 2008. Sorry, he just isn't electable. I'll probably check the box for Perry if it is the best we can do, but unless we are somehow able to nominate and elect Palin, I'm with Sam. Perry won't be able to stop the juggernaut socialist State. I'm doubtful he would even try all that hard.

I never expected to live as long as I have. I think I'd rather go out servicing targets than to die starving for breath in bed.
