Patriots: You should consider weighing into this conversation

The Left may be moving to lay the ground work for a Con-Con in Philadephia next year.

If so, I would call for all serious Patriots to be on hand to put an end to the madness.

Follow the conversation at WRSA, Here.

Also consider this thread at Arctic Patriot's place on the same topic.

I will be there if it materializes.  I will stay until it is stomped into nothingness.  All those calling for a re-write of our founding documents and all those protecting and supporting the effort will earn Article III Section III attention...on site.

The attempt is nothing less than Treason.

  2. In my mind, to convene a con-con is a declaration of war against the American people, so having one gets a HELL NO! from me.
CONgress can't follow the original, it sure won't follow a remodeled version (unless it includes a line 'allowing any and all desires to be enacted at will' clause).
Article 3 Section 3 is in their defense since no one who attends such a meeting will incriminate themselves by accusing another of being there. (At least, that's how I read it: "...Except on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act or admission in open court...".)
So 3/3 is their defense. More effective may be Article II, Section I, paragraph 8: the oath of allegiance to the Constitution (by the prez, and taken by all of CONgress) and being broken daily now.
Undoubtedly, there are already conventions going on where people are working on this 'new and improved' monster, or it would never have come up. So our job, as I see it, is to keep our ear to the ground, learn who and where these are, and do what 'needs' doing to change hearts and minds.

  3. I agree with you both. A Con-Con is an open declaration of war.

It will bring me off my porch.

Personally, I think that the time of our original Constitution (and DoI, BoR) was a magical/Divine time that can never be repeated. Any work we try to do to "improve" our Founding Documents will be a bloody mess.
