Enemies of Liberty are ruthless. To own your Liberty, you'd better come harder than your enemies..

That's so sweet! You do still care!

As I often do when a significant story pops, I stated my position on the SCOTUS decision, then I looked inward to the III to see where we were as a group.

On this blog and elsewhere in our Community many, many folks were outraged by the decision.

Why?

The overwhelming majority of those who blog and comment in our Community take the position that voting will not make a difference, government has failed, the republic is dead, the Constitution either rendered impotent by our current politics or impotent by some grand design.

So, why the passion in the Community? Why the heat? One who is truly separated from a thing will rarely react with passion, especially if you look at the SCOTUS action as do I: It is simply one more in our long train of abuses.

I gave Roberts props for what I consider to be slick political manuevers that will have an impact for many years to come...if we have years to come. But intellectually I know that no matter what SCOTUS did, nothing would change. No decision on Thursday could have staved off our imminent Implosion. No decision would make anyone begin to respect the Constitutional boundaries of power. I still think if SCOTUS had killed ObamaCare outright, the Obama Administration was fully prepared to ignore the Court and execute the law. I can hear the President now: How many divisions does Roberts have? He has taken his decision, now let's see him enforce it.

But you folks who reacted with such intensity revealed something to me that I do find genuinely heartening: Most of you are still fond of the Constitution and the ideal that it offers. You may say differently at times. You may deny it.

But your emotion reveals that you want the Constitution to be respected, and you find those who ignore it, injure it, scoff at it, to be repugnant.

I like that.

A man does not get jealous when an ex-girlfriend gets a new boyfriend, if he is truly over her.

You're not over the Constitution.

Own it, and stand tall. But more importantly, do those things that are within our Founding Principles and Ideals and framework to make the Constitution work again. Elect 535 people to Congress like Trainer, Bill Nye, CA, Brock, Kenny, Zoomie et cetera, and watch our Constitutionally restrained government begin to hum like a Ferrari. They would not appropriate any money for anything that is not Constitutional. They would repeal every law on the books that is offensive to Liberty.

Fixing our republic is as simple as that.

While we are waiting for Implosion, let's continue to get angry when people piss on our ideals and our Constitution. Afterall, they are treasonous bastards who are overthrowing Liberty for Tyranny. We should fight them on every single front of the polygonal battlespace.

Your heat and passion is a display that you have not yet completely abandoned the peaceful political process.

That makes me proud.

III. I am proud to be a III Patriot.

  1. The fetishization of the constitution does not mean that you have the divine true interpretation of the document.

Roberts, Kagan, Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Breyer no more destoryed America than Marbury v. Madison but the reaction from conservatives is ludicrous.

  2. A US government that operated truly within the bounds of the Constitution AS WRITTEN would be a lot better than what exists now, but far from perfect. The best thing about the Constitution is that by violating it with almost everything the US government is and does, it shows itself to be a criminal gang rather than a "legitimate" government (as if such a thing could exist! LOL).

  3. Hey Grunge....why is the Patriot reaction to the Marxists "ludicrous". Be specific....I believe your ridicule of those commenting here is ludicrous.

    So explain your comment.

  4. I think you are spot on. I view our country as an estranged loved one. I wish and hope that things can be fixed, but am not willing to compromise principle for love. I keep a small flame burning. Deep inside, I know that it is over and wonder what will replace this love. Now THAT is a question worth asking. -55six

  5. "wonder what will replace this love."

    That's easy. The III.

  6. Dan III,

Your "the Patriot Reaction" claim is ludicrous. You stake out the territory that only you and your interpretation of the document is valid and "constitutional" and then ascribe your opponents all the wickedness of the world.

ACA is not a blow to freedom. Your freedom was bought long ago by the MIC and Wall Street. Cheap. And you didn't know it because they couched their shackles in proclamations of battling Commies and the Free Market.

    1. Guess what bubba.....I'm correct and you aren't. It's truly that simple.

Anything and everything can now be declared a "tax". Time to start lighting up the statists and collectivists. Starting with the judiciary.

Now go cruise the Huffington Post where you belong.

  7. Well said, I love this land. I hate what its become but I am fighting to bring it back to its roots.

As far as Grunge goes, his logic has been warped by the education system. There is no making sense out of him.

    I don't think so.

Sam could hand pick 535 replacements, no matter how moral, noble or well intentioned they would quickly find that the international banking cartel owns the US and each of them and us. Liberty in the US is a sparklie. You'all go to the parades on the 4th, shoot off your little fireworks and wave your flags as your masters drive by and wave to you from their convertibles.

I'll be at the 300 yard range shooting 1.5" groups and PTing in 100 degree weather. Good luck to all of you as you vote you're way back into a constitutional republic.

    1. SmithGroup: You really think those Patriots would sell out once in DC?

Would you? If you were in the House, would you vote for anything unconstitutional? Or would you tell the people putting pressure on you to F*ck off?

The only problem I have with your last paragraph is that the 2A option will not work until people stop shooting at paper. And right now, not one Patriot is willing to go there.

  9. K,

No, I don't think those fine patriots would sell out once put in place. There isn't enough money in the world. I think they would quickly become aware of how little real lattitude they have to operate when the purse strings are controlled by someone else. Its all about money and power and the cartel has that pretty well sewn up.

No I woud not vote for unconstitutional laws as a matter of principle going in. Who really knows what pressures are brought to bear once one is there. Threats to kill family members? I don't know. This is the big league and cartels have no scupples; they are playing for keeps. Would I lose my priciples when I started receiving my wife's and kid's fingers one at a time. Probably.

"The only problem I have with your last paragraph is that the 2A option will not work until people stop shooting at paper. And right now, not one Patriot is willing to go there."

K, no one can fault your reporting of history. You are 100% accurate. We both know all too well that no one can predict with any certainty when the first patriot will step off the porch.

In the mean time I will continue to live as a moral freeman to the best of my ability and peacefully work to make Liberty a reality for all.

  10. I can be bought for a cold case of Coors and a carton of Marlboros.

Shoots yer theory to shit, don't it Sammy?

    2. I am a simple man with simple tastes...and a cheap bastard...but I also enjoy Stella Artois, New Castle Brown, and other REAL brews.

Coors is my everyday, workin' man's beer.

I'm old enough to remember when we couldn't get Coors east of the Mississippi, and we had to smuggle it into Indiana.

That kind of rabble rousing activity stays with a guy.

  11. The only problem with electing 535 people like Nye, CA, or TL Davis is that I haven't seen a single candidate that has the values like any of those men. The establishment would watch this country burn before they would allow anyone like them in office. I would sure as hell vote for them though and I would give anything to see one of them debate an establishment candidate. That would prove interesting to say the very least.

  12. I say bribe every candidate with a case and a carton NOT to do anything. That would work. That's why Zoomie would be such a great choice---good capitalist.

Well, we sort of do that now, but in a bigger way. We pay most of our earnings so they won't cage us or kill us. Y'all can put it whatever way you wish, but that's the fact of the matter. That's what's happening.

Maybe constitutional caging and killing would be better than unconstitutional caging and killing, but I for one doubt it.
