Re-Post: They will kill you for a Big Gulp - count on it...

**Note 7/15/2017**  A reader posted this today out on the net, so I figured I'd re-post it here since it is even more relevant today than when originally posted.  In the Age of Trump the Leftists are feeling pressure to spool-up their power grabs, and are using violence and coercion to bully people to bow to their whims.  Threepers have been meeting the Anarchists and Antifa fcuks across the nation and will continue to do so.  The longer President Trump is able to remain in office, the more violent the Left will become - the more heavy-handed, the more they will use violence to get their way - from street violence to bureaucratic and administrative violence.

Here's the original piece:

From time to time I am asked (usually by new readers) why I don't cover more of the day-to-day events that impact the Liberty sphere.

We are beyond the Event Horizon.  The Rubicon has been crossed.  It's on, right now.

The Enemies of Liberty have engaged and now only the big questions, the big events, matter.

Everything else is Sparklies.  All else are arrows that will not kill you, so they should be dismissed.

If you are waiting for your suburb to look like a Mad Max movie before you will accept that the fight is already begun, you'll miss the entire show.  This war for Liberty will be just like the two primary wars before it - RevWarI and RevWarII (aka the Civil War or the War between the States).

Only a small percentage of Americans will ever pick up a weapon to fight in this war, just like before.  Most will stay at home, and never even lose cable.

Commerce will continue, just like in our other wars.  There will be disruptions and shortages, there will be pockets of starvation and ruin, but 90% of your fellow Americans will not ever pick up a weapon for either side in this fight.  And there will be those who make fortunes while others fight in the streets for food scraps, for principles, and all the other reasons men fight.

If you don't recognize that you are already in the fight, I can't help you.  If you don't recognize that States moving to ban nearly all 2A is an attack, I can't help you.  If you don't realize that .Gov buying all of the fighting ammo in the country is an attack, I can't help you.  And if you don't understand why your fellow Americans cleared out the entire national retail and wholesale inventory of fighting weapons, ammo and mags in about 30 days after Sandy Hook, I simply can't help you.

Why comment on the headline today that the Governor of Massachusetts will fine and/or imprison you for up to a year for driving your vehicle in a snow storm?  Either you understand which side of the Liberty line that act is on, or you don't.  Why comment on the Mayor of NYC banning you from buying a Big Gulp if you want a Big Gulp?  If you don't already know which side of the Liberty/Slavery line that act is on, I can't help you.

And these are the same people who want you disarmed.  If you are still not getting to "Huh!  The fight is already on!" then you are behind the curve of many, many millions of Americans who have bought all the guns, bullets and magazines you will need to defend yourself from the people who will imprison or kill you for a Big Gulp.

"Ha!  They won't kill you for a Big Gulp!"

Really?  Follow this, it is simple:  You as a store owner decide to sell Big Gulp-sized soda in defiance of the Mayor.  What happens?  You get a letter in the mail, probably a cease & desist, maybe accompanied by a fine.  What if you refuse to pay the fine?  Then more letters go out, higher fines, and eventually a court date.  What if you don't show?  Men with guns come to get you.  What if you go to court, lose, and are ordered to stop selling big drinks - you either comply, or continue.  If you defy the Judge, men with guns will come to get you.

When the men with guns come to get you, you have few options - do as they say, or have your own gun - but either way, men with guns are now hunting you for selling a Big Gulp.

If you do not see that is the America that has evolved, I can't help you.

From the amount of salt in your diet to soda size to how long your grass may be to whether or not you can plant tomatoes in your front yard, to every other facet of daily life, there are Men who mean to be your Master, and if you defy them then more men with guns will come for you.  They will imprison you, or kill you.  Even if you win the first firefight, you are hunted for the rest of your life.

For a Big Gulp.  Or for driving your car in the snow when you have been told not to do so.

If you can't see that the fight has already begun, I can't help you.

Don't waste your time on the headlines of the day.  Men mean to have you bend knee or die.  Some of those men are your neighbors.  If you mean to bend knee, so be it.  You are free to do what you wish, even if you choose to be a slave.  But here's a little Samuel Adams for you:  "If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

That last part - you'd better pay attention.  Some folks won't forget where you stood in the fight.

And in respect to the scrappy cat photo I included at the top of this post, I'll leave you with William Lloyd Garrison: With reasonable men, I will reason; with humane men I will plead; but to tyrants I will give no quarter, nor waste arguments where they will certainly be lost.

And Jefferson on Tyrants: Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God

If you don't understand, I can't help you.  It is simply too late...

  3. Great, great words. The fight began a long time ago and most of us don't know it. Just think about everything you do and with each step or action you take during the day and the influence that is put on that by .gov. the rules, the taxation, especailly the taxation on EVERY aspect of your life. It is getting worse and they are taking more and more and many do nothing. It began a long time ago. Atlantasteve

  9. Dude - you don't think maybe they'd just close your shop over this Big Gulp thing? Nah - straight from the petty misdemeanour fine to armed standoff, huh? I guess that fits your paranoid narrative better, don't it. Seriously - men with guns trying to kill you over a bylaw infraction. Have you seriously ever heard of such a thing happening? No. Thought not.

  10. Vic: No, not moderating you - you posted at 9pm, and I don't live at this keyboard.

Also, it seems it took you a few tries to get your snark where you liked it.

Paranoia? Not at all. It hasn't happened? Did you hear about the guy who flew his plane into the IRS office? Same same.

But most people wet themselves when they get a letter from .Gov, much less a fine. But when the wrong guy, or just the wrong guy on the wrong day, decides not to bend knee, it goes to the wall.

You simply can't refute my logic or my facts as stated - .Gov is not obligated to stop before violence, but the Citizen is, by the laws they pass.

  12. One unbalanced individual who thinks the solution to his tax problems is to croak a bunch of civil servants (real people by the way, with lives and families) doesn't really support your parable of the Big Gulp. Nowhere in that story do I see any .gov (WTF does that mean anyway?) guys with guns pursuing him over something as minor as selling an oversized pop.

    1. Vic: It is obvious that you are not a fan of the projects. That's cool. It is obvious you don't think any element of the Government (individuals, as you say) would ever escalate a conflict with a citizen over a civil procedural disagreement to violence. That's cool.

You obviously believe that if the little girls who got their lemonade stand shut down by an armed LEO had a father who had said "F You, Cop" that the cop would have simply thrown up his hands, said "My bad" and walked meekly away, properly scolded by a Citizen.

That's cool. We believe in Rightful Liberty around here - that means you get to believe anything you wish.

.Gov is an umbrella shorthand for any element of Government.

So, given that we don't agree ideologically or on points in contention, shouldn't we just all agree to walk away and stop debating online? I'm not going to change your mind, you won't change mine.

  13. I'd say the only thing that's obvious is that you're afraid to debate so you're inviting me to leave. No problem. Good luck with the treehouse.

  14. Vic: Not afraid to debate at all, and the moment you actually begin to debate, the better. But any gratuitous assertion - which is all you've offered thus far - may be as equally gratuitously denied.

Talk facts, then we can debate.

Fact: Every single law in America, if ignored/disobeyed/challenged at the moment of enforcement, will escalate to armed confrontation or submission by the Citizen.

.Gov never backs down. They will confiscate property then make you fight in court. They will stop your building project, then make you fight in court. They will raid your business or board it up, then make you fight in court. They do it every day. They break people financially, every day, to get to their endgame.

Look at ObamaCare - the Supreme Court has claimed it is a lawful/Constitutional tax, so the only redress by any Citizen now is submission or the bullet box. Both sides of the ballot box vote the same way - the only difference between D and R is how much they are willing to take and the rate of increase, not the premise that the act itself is immoral and unconstitutional. And no, SCOTUS is not the final arbiter of "Constitutional". The Producers in America are being deprived of the fruits of their labors by men with guns. Period.

Personally I've debated these issues at length on this blog, and don't see a need or useful purpose to do so again. But someone may find it useful.
