Tomahawks: Serious weapons for CQB if you know what you are doing. Even if you don't know what you are doing, you'll make most prudent men back up and try to shoot you.
I've experimented with several Cold Steel models and settled on the Trench Hawk. You'll notice this one is III Branded on the broad blade (done prior to CADD) - the only one of it's kind. What sets this 'hawk apart from others is 2 important features: First, it has a wicked double-edged blade on the back side so you can attack on the counter-stroke. Second, notice the finger grooves at the head, so you can pull it close and use the shaft as a defensive guard - or - as an offensive staff. (NOTE: Never swing a bat, broomstick or 'hawk shaft like a baseball bat. Poke with the tip - you'll do exponentially more damage with less force).
I've been holding onto this 'hawk for a while, getting familiar with it. I've decided to let it go to the first person who wants to donate $110 to the 527. I never bought more than the one so I never posted them to IIIGear. Write me before you donate - that way no one will get disappointed. It'll ship Monday. FYI: The blades are virgin (the entire 'hawk is brand new, I've only played with balance) and it comes with a sweet sheath that covers all sharp edges.
Make no mistake - this is a 'hawk for killing men, not chopping kindling.
I'll update this post as soon as it is sold.
