Armed March on DC
I am not going to give you my opinion, yet.
One "Patriot" blogger said it is a bad idea, because confiscations and bans have not started yet, we have "legal remedies" remaining. I would point to the confiscation unit in California, and that every LEO, in every state, confiscates every firearm he finds in the possession of a "Prohibited Person". I will also point to the fact that bans have been in effect for 80 years - tried buying an SMG from the corner hardware store in this lifetime? A Maxim? A suppressor?
That's a ban. Jumping through hoops is an infringement.
Other people across several "Patriot" websites have a long list of reasons why they will not be there - from the moral character of the organizer to their conclusion it will be a massacre and lead to a 2A ban...
Yet every Patriot calls for ignoring tyranny - indeed, most who write on blogs rant and rave about how they spit in the faces of the tyrants daily.
But when someone says: "Let's show up on D-Day and either put an end to this tyranny, or get this war for Liberty rolling..."
Crickets and excuses.
I have no desire to commit suicide. John Parker did not intend to commit suicide, either. He didn't know if he'd be going home again - but he was done being tyrannized. He wasn't alone. He didn't wait for the British to kick in his door at home, either.
Just my observations at the moment.

There's only one bad plan---losing.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is to let them come to us when we make a stand in a state that allows those weopons that are made in state and not subject to the feds...But that's my opinion and everyone has a right to there own....
ReplyDeleteAs I remember, they said they would stand down as soon as they were confronted.
DeleteKokesh did say they would stand down.
DeleteBut .gov could never allow such a challenge to their authority go without immediate action. I also think a very large percentage of people who may show up to march would not be willing to turn around.
I have no doubt it would be a massacre - and the next day would be Day Two of RevWarIII.
K
What was RevWarII?
DeleteThe War of Northern Aggression!!!
DeleteThe war that the victors call the civil war...Its the rev war that freedom was lost instead of gained..
DeleteI don't know, but I'm thinking maybe the guy is just a nutcase. Why go through all that, loaded arms and all, just to stand down when ordered? I mean, if it's only intended to express something, nobody really needs to be armed.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm missing something, but I don't get it. Protests and war seem like two completely different things to me.
Standing down when the nice LEO says "Surrender your weapon and let's go to prison" kinda takes the wind out of the sails, doesn't it.
DeleteThe entire premise of the march should be "These are our Rights, and you can't have them."
To turn back or to surrender is to cede those Rights.
K
I would agree: If you're going to participate in something like that, and you plan to meekly stand down AND 'respectfully submit to arrest' (according to a Kokesh release on the subject), why not just take your rifle and ammo and turn them in?
DeleteYou don't get in the ring with someone only to say, "no contest" when they start to advance on you...
KOKESH MORE “PINK” (and less USMC) THAN YOU THINK

Collectivist denounces Kokesh march -- almost enough to make you want to overlook the question of who Kokesh really loves. Almost.

Mike, the most knowledgeable and enlightend Stalinist eraser has all the answers.
Check in with Sipsey and read.
As always, the comments of unwavering support are posted by the anonymous.
You know, those Patriots that publicly and courageously say what they mean and mean what they say, without hiding behind the cover of anonymity.
Uhhh, wait a minute.
On the face of it, I like the idea. But not the way this looks to be going down.
ReplyDeleteWhy go on a protest march and as soon as you hear someone on the opossing site tells you to break it up and go home and you do....sounds like surrender to me.

"These are the times.." When I first saw the story about the march I got a chill, I got a little queasy and nervous. Why, You ask? Because THIS is REAL. This isnt a blog, or a chat room. This isnt Huff n Puff. This isnt play soldier and war games. THIS IS REAL. This CAN BE a crossroads, a seperator of the REAL Patriots from the Wannabees. I hear ALOT of excuses and Bu**s#@t as to why this is 'stupid' or a waste of time or whatever else, BUT really these Sunshine excuses are just that... EXCUSES, Meant to assuage our guilt and our fears and reluctance to suddenly have to put up or shut up. Suddenly all the talk and all the hype has slapped us in the faces. Suddenly all those guns and ammo and high capacity magazines are calling our bluffs. Suddenly all that tactical gear and all those preps are sneering at us, calling us out. Oh now dont cry sunshine, dont hate on me for pointing out the ugly truth to you, JUST ADMIT that all this time and energy that you've expended is really just an expensive hobby. July is far enough off to change your plans to go if you REALLY want. Right now there doesnt seem to be any structure to this march, just a good idea. This can be shaped, SO GO and shape it. Take control, assert your ideas and plans. I get the feeling that there will be some there looking for leadership. This can be made into to something worthwhile. So instead of looking for a way to get outta going and still be able to look like a camo bad ass why not lets find a way to go and make history. We have drawn lines in our front yards and stand on our porches just daring the Govt to cross it. We thump our chests and rant and rave about what we'll do IF they DO EVER cross that line in our front yard, but in the meanwhile the fed has came through our backdoor, and are laying in our favorite recliner, drinking our favorite drink out of our favorite glass while watching our TV. THIS March is a DAMN good idea that needs some fine tuning and its PAST TIME for us to Get OFF the front Porch and run with the big Dogs.
ReplyDeleteDeo Vindice. Rebel Patrick
Patrick, I don't know you, but I'll assume for the moment that you are my kind.
DeleteYou do make valid points. And your admonishments are well taken. I think this march, or something like it is or will be necessary.
Conventional wisdom within the community is local, local, local. While I understand the concept, I question just how many true patriots willing to do the confronting are local, local, local. Anybody with half a brain should be able to look at Boston and understand that those guys are gonna field a bunch and terrorize anything and everything that moves. What strength would be necessary to confront that menace? Certainly not a fire team or squad. Platoon? Company? Frankly I have a feeling that we would be looking at battalion or brigade strength. And lone wolves? Forget it.
How many true patriots willing to do the confronting are in a particular AO. Answer honestly now.
So, coming together from various areas to bring enough force for a confrontation would be necessary. Set aside the march for a moment and think Kansas, Colorado, or New York. Suppose that's where the bad guys decide to enforce their will. Are we to sit back in our own states and stay local, local, local and leave it up to Kansans, Coloradans, or New Yorkers bear the brunt? Kinda makes the concept of local, local, local, my state, neighborhood, street, yard, etc. questionable to me.
And keep in mind. When they start that crap they will get around to you eventually. I'm pretty sure a good defense is really a good offense. Kitting up and going out to meet them seems like a very real possibility to me.
So, the march is a good idea and as of the moment all we have done is bluster.
That would be surrender, Guantanamo bay for you and a huge black eye for Patriots. If a patriot were to march on DC he would not plan on retreat.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Kokesh IS an agent provocateur.
http://www.aim.org/aim-column/who-is-behind-adam-kokesh-and-russia-today-television/
"Maybe Kokesh IS an agent provocateur."
DeleteWell, if that is true anonymous, you need
to be forthright and honest, by energetically
smoking out the numerous "agent
provocateurs" (of prominent names) infesting
the Patriot ranks.
Secondly, and without question, I can tell you
who is not behind RT television; the pandering whore
quislings of state propaganda, shamelessly
slutting their way through American journalism.
"That would be surrender, Guantanamo bay for you and a huge black eye for Patriots."
Please, spare me the tired and cowardly hiding behind
the scapegoat of respectability.
Do you honestly, and anonymously believe, that those who daily shit, happily wiping their asses with our Constitution, were not already continuously blackening our eyes.
However, due to what Kokesh has proposed to organize(not who Kokesh is), suddenly those same scumbags will now suddenly begin to disrespect the God given birthright of life, liberty and freedom of the individual; defended by any means necessary.
Bullshit!
Our eyes have long been blackend, darker than the darkest asshole deep in the blackest black hole, by those whose recognition of respectability you crave.
Mike, it sure as hell reads like surrender. I'll give this person the tag of recliner warrior. Those of us who know what we're about either spell it out without bragging like K does or say as little as possible. Everything else belongs in a George Clooney movie.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking much like Alan on this so far - a good idea, but execution (no pun intended) has to be full throttle or it will be a loss of Patriots AND Political Capital.
ReplyDeleteKokesh weighs less significantly on my thinking - afterall, on the day of the march he'd be only one man in a parade of (perhaps) thousands. I certainly would not follow "his" order to submit at first contact. If I were on the ground, I would follow *my* orders, only.
But I intend to wait and see how it evolves.
Either way, if this happens, July 5th will be a full hot war.
K
I think some of the commenters at WC's have it right. FALSE FLAG.
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to do this, you don't start out by telling everybody with a damn internet connection that you intend to punk out at the slightest resistance. You either stand tall or just stay in your mom's basement and STFU.
I predict one of several outcomes:
1) The march meets .gov resistance and meekly surrenders. It fizzles out and the Patriot Community looks like a bunch of all-hat-no-cattle loudmouths.
2) The march meets .gov resistance and some keyboard commando loses his shit...or a mole executes his instructions. Lead flies, people die and .gov now has the perfect excuse to crack down with a vengeance, aided and abetted by the iDrones who believe whatever the LapDogMedia tells them.
3) .gov and the LDM completely ignore the whole thing. Fizzle.
4) .gov fires first, see #3.
5) The next American Revolution is set off.
Out of all these, I view #5 as both the most (because we need it) and least desirable(because no sane person wants it), and absolutely the least likely. I predict this will not end well.
it's all in one's perspective, i guess... i've been taught that any loaded weapon you carry has but 1 purpose... that purpose is not as a Christmas nor a 4th of July ornament... nor is it a prop to be brandished about like you're living in a "B"-rated movie about the gangsters of the '30's... by crossing the boundary that separates dc from Md and/or Va with a loaded weapon, you are subject at that moment to whatever tptb decide to deliver... in the current socio/political climate without sufficient numbers to stunningly overwhelm those same powers, this action is, to me, a suicide mission from which none will return... at very best, those left will be in a camp(that doesn't exist) for a very long time...
ReplyDeletedo we need change from the very top levels of .gov down...? yes... does it look as if the awakened populace is being deliberately provoked...? yes... but suicide enmasse is not the solution...
Adam Kokesh wants 1,000 people to march with rifles slung, and if they meet any resistance they are to turn back. Reality says if they meet any resistance they will be arrested if not shot at.
ReplyDeleteNow imagine if 10,000 volunteers showed up with no intention of turning back or 'being arrested'. Mr Kokesh sprang the idea, but he ain't writing the check or paying the bill. 10,000 armed men aren't required to listen to 'Retreat! Retreat!' squeaked from some blow hard, ya know.
On the other hand, there is nothing in DC itself that we have need of, so perhaps this effort is better spent elsewhere.
We have been warned, we have been told.
ReplyDeleteTragically, far too many were more concerned
with Nascar and a logo:
Cleveland police are searching properties(homes)near the home called a 'house of horrors' after they were reportedly alerted by one of the kidnap victims that there may be more women.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/05/08/cleveland-police-hit-with-claims-missed-clues-after-3-women-freed/
Boston, and 19APR13, is now the precedent at the drop of a hat or the lightest fart in the wind.
Fortunately, this criminal precedent exists only as long as we allow it.
if this goes off it will be a huge mistake and make the patriot movement a laughing stock. they will start off from the legal wrong. arrest, jail and confiscation of their arms if they are lucky. they/we need to do this from the legal high ground, like when they come to enforce fed law where state law has forbidden it. that will come soon enough as the several states have done just that. we can't win if we start off wrong to begin with.
ReplyDeleteJust formally declare war and let the culling commence! Legal and moral "high ground" intact.
ReplyDeleteAll the hemming and hawing just gives the enemy MORE opportunity to neutralize effective patriots and bolster their own tyrannical resources.
Waiting for THEM to kill [yet another] patriot or infringe [yet another] unalienable right seems tactically retarded to me.
I'd say the emasculated eunuchs that now pass for "Americans" have given the "movement" as black an eye as can be achieved.
But then, movements are for statists who believe their voice actually matters, in the first place. Leave that shit to the leftists and follow the examples of TRUE Americans who actually drew blood for their ideals and values.
lead the way big guy. but tell me this...do you have a drivers license? social security card? birth certificate? TRUE americans wouldn't :)
DeleteAlright. Muster outside of ATF headquarters in D.C. on June 6th at 0300 hours. I'll be there waiting for you and the rest of the gang. Let's see if you'll show up.
ReplyDeleteOf course I don't have any of those statist chains binding me. Only servile subjects of federalist tyranny would follow such unconstitutional trends; likely to preserve some notion of a "franchise" or the statist self-aggrandizing "law-abiding citizen" monicker that the herds use to make themselves feel better about being slaves to their oppressors.
I am a Sovereign free man on the land and divorced myself from the Matrix twenty years ago. I am free because I will kill anyone who tries to rule over me or oppress me with unconstitutional legislation (Read: anything post-1791.)
And don't mistake the courage to speak as internet bravado. I have eighteen tyrant pelts under MY belt. Howsabout yourself, riverrider?
