Holly and I saw one of these on the long, upwardly-winding road to the III Arms site.  I had never seen a moose in the wild before, I think it was an adolescent - it was lanky and about 4-5 feet at the shoulders - and did NOT appreciate our Jeep following it up the road.  Holly and I were on the lookout for Momma Moose, knowing she would not appreciate us following her young'n either.  But, no sign of her.

Several people are in town already, and a few up on the mountain.  Holly and I will be up and down the mountain several times, as we will be meeting with several more people in town, as well as making at least one run north to Coeur d'Alene.  We met a local on the mountain riding a 4-wheeler, and sent him onward to meet Fuzzy & the crew.

There is much to accomplish in a very short time, from meeting with locals and contractors, to spending time with fellow III Patriots and advancing several of our projects.  We'll be sure to add at least a few updates over the weekend.

Stay safe, folks.

  1. Very cool - a young Shiras (Wyoming) moose! I saw them a couple of times along the Green River back in the 80's. Will you have more developed plans at Brock's place? If so, I'd like a chance to look them over (I'm an engineer).

    1. I will be there, unless my boss sends me out of state at the last minute.
