The chances of a 'Gulf of Tonkin' or 'USS Liberty' type incident just keep going up, and War-War just keeps inching closer to being a reality.
Now, I'm not saying that Russia doesn't have legitimate interests in the region, worthy of an effective defense - because they do.
What I am saying is that large egos, like blimps, can be very hard to steer, particularly when there are conflicting winds blowing. And as with the blimps, the collision of large egos tends to conflagrate very rapidly...
