“Human rights law requires [member] States to protect people from harmful private activities and to adopt appropriate regulatory and institutional frameworks,” the report reads.
That is from a UN douche who wants America to tighten gun laws.
Forget the 2A aspects - read that quote again.
"...to protect people from harmful private activities..."
That is the motivating ideology behind 'Human Rights Law' and the UN is in the business of institutionalizing that world view at the nation-state level.
When it comes time for everyone to sweep their own porches, you New Yorkers are going to be busier than most.
Here's the piece.
They might need some neighborly help.

I've never put a bumper sticker on my car, but about a decade ago I saw one that said,
ReplyDelete"US out of the UN, and the
UN out of the US!"
And I seriously considered breaking my rule for that one... but in the end, I didn't.
Because, to use bumper-stickers as the only form of protest left to you, of which you choose to avail yourself, is proof of impotence (politically and otherwise).
--- my rule is simply this,
"Don't do impotent things, unless you want to:
1) appear impotent, and
2) become impotent."
End. No More.
Pretty simple, right?
But review your life - your memories of people - and be amazed at how many people you know who have **chosen** to appear, and to then become impotent.
The lesson behind this is a simple, if painful one -
Beware any excuse that sounds good enough, to make you break one of your own rules... because *that* excuse is the one, hand crafted by the devil... just for you.
