The tax must be paid!

Another skeptic is John Cornyn of Texas, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate.

"The question is, who is going to pay the tax?" Cornyn asked. 

No, Senator - the question is 'Who says the tax must be paid, at that level, at any level, period?'

Always, always, always examine the premise, Patriots.  The premise from Cornyn's perspective is that X tax must be paid - the only question to him is who must pay it.

That is the fight, right there.  It is that simple.

Understand that the demand of a tax is an arbitrary demand by those who mean to be Masters.
