Yes I've made Kydex holsters and sheaths and no its not really a lot of trouble. Plan on your first few efforts to be less then ideal but otherwise enjoy. I'll probably start bartering or selling my work to friends and acquaintances. FWIW short term you can get by with simple hand tools. You'll do better with a band saw, drill press, belt sander, buffer/grinder and higher end Dremel tool.
ReplyDeleteFairly easy to work with...use a suction box for holsters and specific molded gear. A little frustrating at first but isn't terrible to work with and a good sturdy material
ReplyDeleteRingo
Just acquiring the stuff to make holster and other assorted goodies.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all. Have any of you ever worn-out a Kydex sheath or holster, or cracked one?
ReplyDeleteWhen/if has anyone has any projects they'd like to share, let me know and I'll be happy to post and link.
ReplyDeleteI'm personally interested because there are certain pieces of gear I need secured "my way" both for myself and Mrs. K that just aren't available commercially.
Thanks, all.
