Frein Update: The Narrative Begins...

“Our nation is far from what it was and what it should be,” the letter states, according to the court papers. “There is so much wrong and on so many levels only passing through the crucible of another revolution can get us back the liberties we once had.”

Frein is one of those whacko/extremist/Liberty types.

I say Bullshit.  An unstable man may kill a LEO and then play hide-and-seek in the woods for sport.

A pissed-off Patriot who decides to engage won't stop at one or two...

Larry has the details, here.

  1. His mistakes and faults were many but what sticks out the most was that every choice he made was fantasy driven. From his choice of hard to find ,rare and therefor easy to trace weapons (SVD or PSL sniper rifle, CZ 75 pistol .) To dumping the truck in a pond with pounds of evidence inside. To his choice of uniforms, field gear, hell even is boots were non-US and therefor easy to track (if he's the only guy within 100 miles leaving that footprint it HAD to be him) His entire persona was based on a fantasy viewpoint and so He failed in whatever his goal was before he ever fired a shot. His second glairing error was to carry too much "stuff" (he started dumping weapons and ammo the first week!) and then to corner himself . He then "takes a walk" UNARMED? This is ether the crown prince of stupidville or the cops aren't telling the truth. His every action reeks of a man trying to get caught and killed or a setup.---Ray

    1. Keen analysis there Ray, as good as any I've seen. Of course, "set up" covers a wide range of possibilities, from the immediate to the long-term messing of the mind. I think there's a lesson in there---you can be successful in the instance even if you're fantasy-driven, but generally it doesn't work out so well in the long haul.

I only mention it cuz damn, I see a lot of fantasy lately.

  2. "This is ether the crown prince of stupidville or the cops aren't telling the truth."

    I'd go with the latter.

"His every action reeks of a man trying to get caught and killed or a setup"

It's either the latter-or he ran out of something-like the Czech cigarettes-and let his guard down.
I'm sure he was going crazy being under pressure/stress and running out of smokes if that was the case.
Anyone who smokes-now would be a good time to quit.
Better for your health, saves you $$$ that could be better spent on things like training.

I believe that TPTB are carefully laying out a narrative to push an agenda in the Frein situation.
Controlling what info is released, when it's released, and who releases it.

So far, TPTB have already covered survivalists, "right wing nut jobs", Patriots, people who believe in the Constitution, people who believe we have lost freedoms and Liberty,"Lone wolf terrorists","snipers",sniper rifles,re-enactors,etc,etc.
I'm sure the anti-gun zealots/ .gov inc. will used "sniper rifles",imported "assault weapons",the "arsenal" Frein had,the "huge" amount of ammo Frein had acquired, etc, etc.

Too much that doesn't add up in the Frein case...

  4. the public will never have the truth - only the pieces that fit the narrative... all else is unfortunately speculation...
